One of the most spectacular experiences of our Alaska trip! We flew with K2 Aviation out of Talkeetna for a flightseeing tour over Denali National Park, and WOW! Seeing Denali, Ruth Glacier, the enormous snowfields and seemingly endless mountains from a small plane was absolutely breathtaking. Pictures simply cannot capture the scale and beauty of this part of Alaska. Our pilot, Riley, was fantastic, and our flight ended up including an experience we never could have planned. Conditions allowed us to land on a glacier, where we picked up two climbers/skiers who had been stranded there for three days! Watching Riley handle the glacier landing and pickup while surrounded by those massive mountains made the whole experience feel like something straight out of National Geographic. We booked this expecting a beautiful sightseeing flight and came away with a true once-in-a-lifetime Alaska experience. If you're visiting Talkeetna and considering a Denali flightseeing tour, DO IT—and K2 Aviation gets an enthusiastic 5/5 from us!

Incredible! Breathtaking! We absolutely loved our flight with Danny. She was a wonderful pilot and we all felt very safe in her hands. I think we were the last flight of the day to actually land on the glacier, so be prepared for the weather to change in a matter of minutes!

I wanted to do a bucket list activity while on our bucket list trip to Alaska. We debated on several different activities and choser K2 and the Denali Grand Tour with Glacier Landing. I had read that weather will often cancel a trip. The morning of our flight, it was a sunny day. Unfortunately, when we checked in, we were told they were still flying but couldn't do the Grand Tour but offered us the Denali Experience. We decided to go ahead and do that tour. Our pilot was fantastic and safety was his #1 priority and giving us a great tour was a close #2. He narrated almost the entire flight. Once we landed on the glacier, he immediately offered to take our photos. We were the first of three planes to land on the glacier. The scenery was stunning and watching two other planes land on the glacier was something I'll never forget. If you're looking for a bucket list activity - Denali Flightseeing Tour with Glacier Landing should be high on your list.

We were very lucky as the tour hadn't been operating for a couple of days due to bad weather. Lucky for us it had been snowing up there, so when we landed on the glacier everything was a clean crisp white. Plus, we hadn't seen snow for many many years. We were allowed to walk around but not too far from the plane for safety reasons. The pilot was very knowledgeable and both landing and takeoff were very smooth. I think it is one of the best value for money tours in Alaska. If your budget extends to a flight with a glacier landing don't pass it by, just go for it. Great tour and great company!

We had a terrific time with our flight out to Mt Denali and landing on the glacier. The experience is certainly weather dependent in terms of views and whether you can even land on the glacier. I would advise to check the weather the day beforehand to have some sense of if the weather will cooperate for you. Views of the Ruth Glacier and the surrounding mountains were incredible! And the fact that you can land on a glacier is super cool!

Absolutely unreal experience- it was mind-blowing landing on a glacier! We were blessed with a perfect weather day and got insane views of the Alaskan range and all the glaciers around. Mt. Denali showed up in full grandeur. Our pilot was amazing and the take off and landing was super smooth and exciting. Cannot recommend this trip enough!

The travel information we received let us to believe that we were going to fly 6 miles from Mount McKinley and if the weather was good we would see it. We had an awesome flight through the mountains, and the passes and saw good things. It was all impressive and good. The downfall is when I felt our ride was almost done I asked so where's Mount McKinley? And the pilot says oh back there a ways. Do you think he could have mentioned it if we were anywhere around it? I expected for him to say hey we're driving by it sorry folks it's in the clouds we can't see it something just anything. But he told us nothing about it and that's why I went on this flight to see Mount McKinley. I knew I'd be taking a chance whether I saw it or not but for him not to mention it at all while we were in the air or say anything about it destroyed what I went up there for. In all other ways Tully our pilot was great. But he sure let us down talking about/seeing Mount McKinley.

Definitely a once in a lifetime experience and totally worth it. We got to see Denali and other mountains and landed in Ruth amphitheater near Denali. Saw some glaciers and beautiful scenes everywhere..

We did not originally plan for a flight adventure to a Denali National Park glacier, but after rave reviews from my cousin who went with her kids (11 & 13), we decided to go for it last minute and were amazed. For good reason, there is a lot in Alaska that’s described as a “once in a lifetime” experience. However, soaring like an eagle between mountain peaks, alongside cliff faces, and over massive glaciers with K2 took the cake. Landing on a glacial snow field and partaking in an impromptu snowball fight with the kids (14 & 16) 5,600 feet above sea level was not on my Alaska bingo card. All of this within 12 miles of the magnificent Mount Denali, glistening in the sun. That was the closets we got to the 20,310-footer during our entire 4-day ground-level stay at Denali National Park. Amaze! Amaze! Amaze!

A great way to see Denali. Buckle up and go! Landing on Ruth Glacier was quite an experience. Seeing Talkeetna from the sky is amazing.

We had an extraordinary flight and Mother Nature cooperated, allowing us to land on a glacier and sneak several looks at Denali. Tully was our pilot and he was terrific. He was very thorough and disciplined in his safety routine. K2 is extremely organized. Transport to/from Talkeetna Lodge was slick. I was placed in the front copilot seat and the view there is incredible. This trip was our 25th wedding anniversary and the flight experience made our already special trip even more amazing.

Jack and his Otter made our trip to Alaska one of the best ever! Thank you, K2, for providing us with a classic plane and a conscientious pilot! Fantastic viewing opportunities and a unique experience landing on the glacier and spending time there. Couldn't ask for a better experience.

This was by far the highlight of our trip to Alaska. We were fortunate that the weather was perfect & we were able to land on the glacier. The views were otherworldly to say the least. The plane was very comfortable, our pilot was Dana & she was great. We would highly recommend. Worth every penny.

What a great experience! We and another couple - Carol & Bill from West Palm Beach - had a great flight with Finn, our pilot. He was very informative and it was as educational as it was beautiful. Denali is simply amazing.

Overall good experience but the inability to land on the glacier rubbed off the sheen of the experience. Understandably there are safety reasons to do so but as tourists we were looking forward to the same. The pilot Jamie did try her best and a fellow Cessna pilot was able to do it. Check in at K2 Aviation was seamless Finally the ageing DC3 planes are probably too heavy for soft snow landing (ours was N125KT built in 1977) and the back end of the plane was smelling of diesel fumes which was highlighted. Hope it is checked for CO)

Amazing experience- our pilot Ben flew us (just my husband & I) up around Denali and glaciers the views were breathtaking. Ben was very informative of the area and shared his knowledge. I would totally do this again!

We had a wonderful time flightseeing even though we weren’t able to land on the glacier due to weather. It was amazing to see Alaska’s landscape from the air.

We spontaneously decided to try flightseeing. K2 was responsive and encouraged us to head over immediately if we wanted to get to get on a flight. We went flying with Dorothy who was engaging and taught us a lot about Denali park and glaciers. It was a great outing

Fabulous and incredible are two words that come to mind but still falls short of how truly amazing the flight experience was. Check in process was seamless. The view of Mount Denali, and the surrounding mountains on a very clear day with blue sky was jaw dropping. The flight takes you into places surrounded by tall snow covered cliffs and lands on an ice field. You can see Denali right in front. Definitely recommend doing this flight.

It was a once in a lifetime amazing experience. Our tour guide was amazing. The views were breathtaking, and the kids had a blast playing in the snow when we landed on Ruth Glacier. We would definitely recommend this to anyone with or without children. The flight was very smooth.

Seeing Denali by air and landing on the glacier was a fantastic experience! Excellent pilot, smooth ride.

We were a party of 10 ranging in age from 11 - 68. We added the glacier landing which really was fun for the kids. 14 and 18 year olds rode one way in the copilot seat. Kids had snowball fight on the glacier. Granddaughter did some of her dance moves. Glacier landing was the highlight of this tour.

We actually didn't get to take our flightseeing tour, as the weather didn't cooperate. But K2 was great in their communication with us, both beforehand and the day of our flight, and quick to refund when we got rained out. We would definitely try again with them if we ever make it back to Alaska! Also, a head's up: We did not realize when booking that Talkeetna (where K2) is based is 2-3 hours from Healy (where we were staying for Denali). Be aware of that travel time when planning/booking your experience. We had to alter our plans the week before our trip (and K2 was great in working with us on that, too) when I realized my mistake.

Fantastic experience for our family of 9! We felt safe and comfortable with our pilot and he was very knowledgeable. We were booked on a day that was filled with rain and clouds. K2 very graciously rebooked us for the next day, which turned out to be gorgeous and sunny! Glacier boots and sunglasses if needed were provided. Highly recommend!!!

It was so informative and awesome. We lucked out with a beautiful sunshiny day. Our pilot Ben was great. Loved it, best excursion we’ve had in Alaska.

Our glacier landing was canceled due to weather, but they put us on a longer flight which took us on a longer tour. It was amazing! Our pilot was knowlegeable and fun. It's the very best way to see glaciers! I felt like we were in very capable hands for the entire tour. This is a MUST DO if you visit Alaska!! Oh, and be sure to visit the town of Talkeetna while you're there! Adoringly charming and fun with great shopping and food!

Fun time. Very bumpy ride. 3 stops with interesting local information. 3 cheers to our guides, Rooster, and Roadkill. Thought it would wet but was very dusty.

K2 Aviation did not disappoint. We changed our tour due to weather and we hit the window perfectly to actually see Denali. The trip was a highlight of our trip to Alaska. The sun shone at the right moments and we were able to land on the glacier and have clear views of Denali. Our guide Tully was professional and knowledgeable. And we were thrilled with our trip. WONDERFUL experience! Our pilot, Joe, was very skilled at flying his plane! The views were spectacular! We loved walking around the plane and having a snowball fight! God’s beauty was all around us!

I’m an Alaskan resident and this is the excursion I recommend to everyone. If you are looking for the ultimate Alaska experience you will never get again you need to do this excursion, the experience you get is well worth the money. The pilot and staff were magnificent and very informative. The group size is about 12 folks. If you’re a solo traveler you might get lucky and get to sit in the cock pit. Couldn’t recommend this place more

The only day we had available for this happened to bring rain and low clouds all dang day. We are updated constantly with the conditions, continually asked if we wanted to refund, rebook for later in the day, or the next day. We pushed back our reservation multiple times with no hassle to try and catch the sun (it didn't happen). We ultimately had to cancel and get a refund since we didn't have another day. I was completely happy with the updates and attempts to get us in. That is why I am 5 starring an event that we didn't even get to do. This company rocks and is very much a pleasure to deal with.

This is a must do if you come to alaska! The Views are amazing and cannot be explained with words. K2 Aviation did a great job and special thanks to our pilot Ben you did an outstanding job has answering our questions handling the plane with perfection.
