Our tour guide was great. The main highlight of the tour tasting salmon and reindeer sausage was not available as the store was closed for inventory. Quite disappointing. The rest of the tour was very informative. Loved the shops.

My friend and I had a short trip to Anchorage, and wanted to see the city…history, current events, etc Our guide, Brooks Putman, was animated, knowledgeable and courteous. On each of our stops, we were greeted by staff who were the same. Each of our encounters involved people who love their work and their city. The ulu factory, the fish shop(samples were delicious) and the chocolate factory were worthwhile, and a trip to Beluga Point for a view was a great place get photos. So glad we booked this little slice of Alaska.
Super awesome tour! Was windy but beautiful day in the city, even tho it was late October. Driver even was able to accommodate drop off to the airport :)
We had an incredible time on this tour! Melissa was wonderful and made every planned activity engaging and memorable. I'd highly recommend it for anyone visiting Anchorage for the first time!
Very good trip. It gave the highlights of Anchorage, including stopping for samples at the salmon/ reindeer sausage store and the chocolate factory. Melissa was a wonderful guide, telling us about Anchorage the whole time. She was very personable by taking pictures for us and telling us a little about her family. The trip was well worth the money.
Melissa was our guide and so knowledgeable, helpful, super nice, and patient. We did incredible stops, lots of time to shop or look around. The natural beauty of Anchorage leaves me speechless. I enjoyed to tasting of salmon and reindeer sausage--couldn't decide which ones to buy, I wanted them all! A great trip, great guide, and all-around great experience!
Ben was a great guide. The experience was informative and fun. Gave us time to enjoy the day. Not rushed
Nothing really interesting. It looks like this is a trip for the chocolate and knife factory. Parking is an additional expense, the tour operator does not offer free.
Great way to see and learn about the history of Anchorage. Our tour guide Gary was excellent. He immediately welcomed us and encouraged us to ask questions. The stops and tastings were great. Really enjoyed this adventure.
Great tour, you learn so much about Anchorage and our tour guide Gary was so helpful with recommendations. Definitely recommend! Wish we had booked earlier in my trip.
Gary gave us a great tour around Anchorage which included the food stops mentioned above in the title. I loved seeing the float planes. Heading some history Anchoeage was great too.
Gary was amazing. He is the consummate host who is full of wonderful information about Anchorage and all of Alaska. You can tell how much he loves this incredible state. This tour was very informative and entertaining and we all thoroughly enjoyed!! Highly recommend taking the tour of Anchorage with him!!
We were missguided with a message that the tour was likely to sell out and it was cancelled for just 2 cuatoners
Vao was a great tour guide, but the stops, with the exception of the Turnagain Arm, were underwhelming
I agree with previous reviews, felt just taken to places to purchase items. Van was filthy inside and out.
Tour guide Melissa was amazing and very informative She gave us a few recommendations of sites to visit
Tour guide Gary was excellent. Very knowledgable, professional and courteous. The tour was non stressful, there was no rush to get thru one site and on to the next. I would recommend this tour to anyone.
This is the very best way to see Anchorage and the area around it. Greg the driver and tour guide was the absolute BEST
A wonderful tour of numerous highlights of the city. Our guide Gary was extremely informative, and went above and beyond to assure we all had a great time. We saw Denali, a black bear, tasted salmon, reindeer and chocolate. We learned about the history of Anchorage, as well as the 1964 earthquake and more! Highly recommend this tour.
The best time to view beluga whales is late afternoon/early evening so book your tour for the afternoon.
Guide was very informative and friendly,Did a great job on each and every stop explaining history of Anchorage.
This tour had a little bit of everything. We visited the Zulu Store, Earthquake Park, Cook Inlet, Lake Hood to watch the sea planes take off and land, we tasted lots of salmon, halibut and reindeer sausage, view the twenty foot chocolate fountain and taste lots of delicious chocolate. We ended the trip at Beluga Point. Sadly, we did not see any Beluga today. Val was very friendly. She answered questions as they came up. Her driving was safe and the van was very comfortable. I would recommend this tour for anyone wanting to know more about Anchorage.
Our tour guide, Matt, did an excellent job of showing us Anchorage. He has a ton of local knowledge and his experiences while growing up in Alaska were informative and enjoyable.
Interesting trip around Anchorage. We saw many things and especially loved the Sausage made from Reindeer. It took about 3.5 hours and was well worth the time and money. Our tour guide was a true eskimo and let us know it was ok to say Eskimo. I loved her personality and charm. Thanks for the tour
Okay experience. Guide was informative but spent time trying to promote products to buy during tour stops.
Our guide Matt was incredibly nice, just the sweetest guy. He told us all about his family and showed us around Anchorage. It felt more like a family tour.
This tour gave a good overview of Anchorage. The stops were interesting and we had a great guide! We enjoyed the salmon tasting as well. A very enjoyable experience!
The tour was interesting overall. Some stops were a little more than sales pitches. Our guide, Matt, told interesting personal stories that were enjoyable.
We booked this tour to kill some time before our flight home after a cruise/land tour. Our tour guide, Gary, was very knowledgeable and friendly - he exceeded our expectations for this tour! One of the BEST tour experiences we have ever had!!
Gary the guide was very personable and knowledgeable. Gave further recommendation for food and activities. Great tour for the money.
Matt was a great guide. He shared lots of information about Alaska’s culture, salmon fishing, and float planes. We saw a mama moose and 3 of her babies on a tour. Recommended it to everyone.
Our tour got off to a late start because of some vehicle troubles, but Gary—our guide—more than made up for it by giving us nearly four hours of exploring. He was wonderful, sharing Anchorage’s history, local insights, and plenty of fun stories along the way.
This was a fun and informative tour! Our tour guide was grest! She was extremely kind and full of information about the sights we saw. We got to see many different areas and I learned a lot. I highly recommend this tour!
Great guide, great stops, lots of information. Allowed us to see a lot of Anchorage in a short time.
Melissa was an excellent guide. Native Alaskan. Very friendly, upbeat, knowledgeable and helpful. 14 in our van was a nice size. Total of 8 points of interest. Allowed to get off at 5 I think. Time at each stop was about 10 - 20 minutes which was just right.
Our tour guide Gary gave us the best time possible, learning about Anchorage. He was knowledgeable, kind and generous with his information, all while driving us to several key highlighted stops. The Ulu Knife Factory, Alaska Sausage and Fish Company, (true to his word, the smoked Halibut was amazing), Alaska Wild Berry Products and several other points mixed in with these. We had a delightful afternoon.
Once in a lifetime experience! Garry is awesome, he is armed with knowledge about historical facts and the everyday hustle and bustle of daily life in Alaska. Kudos !
Loved the tour. Gary was a great guide. You could tell he loved Alaska and wanted others to know how great Alaska is.
The sausage and salmon we tasted on this tour were delicious, but otherwise this tour wasn’t for us due to the vague, limited local knowledge of our tour guide. There are more interesting ways to spend your afternoon in Anchorage.
This tour is so worth it! Melissa was great, very knowledgeable about the history of Alaska esp Anchorage, so mellow and on time. We spent enough time on each stops with plenty of time to take pictures.
Great way to see some highlights! Gary was an excellent guide with great commentary and information. He was a great driver too.
We took the Anchorage City Tour with Kira as our driver and guide. She had great stories to tell of her own experiences as she grew up in Anchorage and knew a lot of the history and culture. She sparked our interest as she herself was a Native American and narrated stories about her family' journey. She spoke good English, drove well, and was very courteous and kind thru the tour. She picked us up at our hotel on time and stayed on schedule. She is vivacious and pleasant to be with. This tour is best for people with limited time to get a quick glimpse into Anchorage. The tour vehicle was for small groups.
It was very informative. Learned a lot about the area and the history of the people. The guide was very nice and courteous. Worth the money
This was a fun and informative experience. I highly recommend this if this is your first time in Anchorage. You get a good overview of the city in less than 4 hours. Our tour guide, Melissa, was very knowledgeable and fun to be with. Sampling the different types of salmon and sausage was definitely a highlight on the tour. We took a lot of great photos during our stops.
Buy some salmon jerky at the smoked fish place and eat it as your lunch otherwise you will miss a meal
Gary, our guide was amazing… friendly and personable! Very knowledgeable about Anchorage.,, learned a lot from him and saw interesting sites! Even our 20 yr olds enjoyed it! Thanks for the great experience!
The guide was well informed about Anchorage. She was very willing to go the extra mile to please her customers who had physical limitations. The merchants that we visited were also very considerate and knowledgeable.
Great way to get good feel for Anchorage. Our driver/guide was terrific. The tasking was fun and the sights he took us too were beautiful.
It was a very interesting and fun tour. We had a chance to sample different tastings from reindeer sausage to delicious chocolate and Gary was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable and very friendly. He went out of his way to make sure that we all enjoyed learning about Anchorage. Thank you Gary. Carol and Lynn.
It’s mostly in a van with a guide that takes you to sure seeing stops. Got to shop and try samples of local fare including halibut, reindeer sausage, salmon and chocolate.
