Fantastic views and hotel. Worth the trip

The driver showed up at our airport pick up coughing and sick and with her two children wining in the van. Even with that we booked a return trip. They then canceled just hours before our train departure leaving us with a problem on getting to Anchorage from Girdwood. They canceled after midnight for a 6:30 AM pick up. There was no assistance with helping us find last minute transportation. Terrible customer service very unprofessional.

Very convenient way to get to Girdwood. Driver was very nice and provided some commentary on what we were passing on the journey.

On time,voilite, clean, perfect ride to Anchorage. Did not see any bears or moose on the way in . Filling space

Wow, what an excellent service! You cannot beat the price and the flexibility of the times for pick up. Walter was my driver and he provided a safe and pleasant ride. Walter was a pleasure to have as my driver!! Kelly went above and beyond, making sure my reservations were scheduled correctly, she was in communication with me and made this process so seamless. As a solo female traveler, having reliable transportation was so important and this experience couldn’t have been better. I will absolutely use again when I visit Anchorage again. Thank you!!

Customer service is lousy - owner will not respond to calls. Three of the folks at my conference all had bad experiences with the operator. Drivers are nice but there is a total lack of organization and communication. Follow through is non existent. Find another provider or just take an Uber!

Girdwood Express was recommended by the Alyeska Resort. When we arrived at the airport (we being other people that had also made reservations) our shuttle was no where to be found in the shuttle waiting area. The shuttle buses do not have markings on them as they do in the photos from the website. After 20 min we had to call them to ask where they were. We were then directed to a shuttle that had been sitting there among other shuttle buses. The dispatcher gave us the number on the shuttle and we then confirmed with the driver it was in fact our shuttle. No markings on the shuttle bus nor a sign in the window to say it was the Girdwood Express shuttle. Also no call from dispatcher directing us to where to meet. Why wouldn't the bus driver get out and ask all of those standing around, "Alyeska Resort anyone?". All of the other shuttle buses were clearly marked or had signs in the window describing their affiliation. The driver was nice and engaged in friendly conversation on the way to the resort. That was just getting to the resort.............. Now on to the end of our trip and getting a shuttle back to the airport. You have to be kidding me. We had an even worse experience for the way back. Our flight was for 10:25 p.m. leaving Anchorage Airport. Considering it is just under an hour to the airport, and we should check in to the very busy airport two hours early, we scheduled our pickup at 7:00 p.m. That is almost 3.5 hours prior to our flight which should of been plenty of time. Well the shuttle was not there at 7:00. At 7:10 we called them to inquire as to the location of our shuttle. At 7:25 they called back to say they were trying to get ahold of the bus driver to get us an ETA. They also said that it was likely that the shuttle was stuck in construction traffic. Well that is total bs. Even the bell hops called them to ask why the delay. The bell hop drives from Anchorage to the resort for work. No construction anywhere of any sort. The shuttle service stated they would call us right back with an ETA. At 7:50 we still did not receive a call back and began to worry about getting to the airport on time. I then called the local yellow cab company. That is a whole other story but they are a waste of time. They stated they had someone in the area within ten minutes. Within 5 minutes a cab driver called and said he was 45-50 minutes out and coming from the airport. What the ??? No way we could make it for our flight doing that. Now we are in panic mode and in fear of missing our Southwest flight. Keep in mind that Southwest only flies once a day out of Anchorage to anywhere. That's at 10:25 p.m. If you miss that fight you have to wait 24 hours to catch the next one. Just unacceptable. Finally Mark, one of the bell hops, stated he was getting ready to get off work and would gladly take us. He drove us right to the front door of the airport. We arrived at 9:15 p.m. and were able to make our flight. It was just after 8:30 p.m. that the shuttle service finally called back to state the driver was 10 minutes away. Horrible communication. Horrible and unreliable service. We told them we were already on the way to the airport. I am sure that there has been several times that they were on point with their reservations but to have issues coming and going...??? I would not recommend them to anyone. That goes the same for the yellow cab company. We would of rented a car but none were available. Uber/Lyft?? I looked at eta's several times in that hour and a half. They were all longer that an hour away and were coming from airport. The Girdwood town is very small and just doesn't have the local resources to support ride share services.

They were easy to work with, driver was very knowledgeable and personable. If I ever make it out to Girdwood again, they will be my go to for airport transportation to the resort!

This is great and affordable. It has every convenience for anyone. I would recommend this to anyone. The staff is very nice.

The company was so easy to work with on short notice. We couldn’t get a uber to pick us up at the fabulous Alyeska Resort so they graciously picked us up and Vao was on her day off came into work to help us out. We really appreciate the company as well as her.

Great shuttle service. They adjusted their schedule so I could get to the airport with time to spare. Excellent customer service from the over the phone booking to the shuttle driver. Would recommend.

Overall the service was cost effective and accomplished. My only issue was effective comms. Pickup location was identified, but not time. When I texted we were ready, took a bit to get a response. At pickup, day before email had wrong location (just like drop off location). I replied and corrected but the still went to same wrong location. Whe I set up and pains I gave the correct location. As a result I was a little worried, but everything worked out. Drivers very pleasant all the way around.

Bus was early at my pick up site both times I rode. My driver Ina did a great job. She’s very experienced driving in the ice and snow and is dedicated in getting passengers where they need to go. Although I was just using the Girdwood bus service, Ina stopped along the way so I could take pictures. She’s very experienced explained the area to me in great detail and I’ll definitely use them again the next time I visit the area. She mentioned that depending on the day, could possibly pick up or drop off at other hotel sites. My rec is to call them directly and check so you have more options of hotel stays. Overall excellent experience.

Driver was kind and gave me good tips and feedback about the place I was going! She was awesome and even let me sleep a little on the way! I couldn’t have asked for a better driver!

There was a problem with the driver the morning of my pick up and the dispatcher came and picked me up herself. The communication was great. She was a very good driver and a warm, wonderful person. I would highly recommend this service.

Our group of 6 travelled from Anchorage to Girdwood- we were picked up from our accommodation and dropped off at our new accommodation. The driver was very friendly and helpful at each end and informative during the drive.

Beyond exceptional service from Justin and the entire team at Alaska's Finest Tours! We were planning a group arrival for 15+ people, Justin helped enter each person on the back end to make it easier for me. I work in the event planning industry and have never worked with someone so kind and helpful! Highly recommend them!

Girdwood Express was great. Eva made the experience easy- answering all questions and fixing a mistake that I made. Great customer service. Our driver, Walter, was so nice and I felt safe with his driving.

Our driver, Matthew, communicated well with us, was prompt picking us up, was courteous and helped load and unload our luggage. He had a wealth of knowledge of the area we traveled through and shared it with us.

The shuttle was convenient, but the website did not allow us to reserve the shuttle from Alyeska Resort to Anchorage --only the other direction. So, we had to call. Also, when we called again to inquire about changing our time, it was very difficult to get through. After hours of trying, we finally got a response. All-in-all, however, the shuttle worked out very well for us.

Our driver was phenomenal… can’t remember her name but her husband is in the military and she’s from San Antonio? Could not recommend enough. She pointed out the mountains, wildlife and much more. Amazing amazing amazing.

Jim was amazing. He tracked our flight and was waiting at the airport before we even got our bags. Same thing on the way back to the airport. He also offered to stop if there were any whales to see!

A great shuttle ride from anchorage airport to Girdwood! Fast and easy to find at the airport. My Driver Ina was so friendly and pointed out so much wildlife on the ride - it was like a mini tour! The highlight was seeing some Orcas on the drive - Ina kindly stopped for a second so I could snap a pic! Thanks so much!

I had an incredible experience with Alaska's Finest Tours and Adventures. I needed a last minute driving service, and they truly came through for me when family arrived late into Ted Stevens International Airport and I didn't want to make a two hour roundtrip drive from Girdwood in the middle of the night. Not only did they accommodate my request with very little notice, but their pricing was surprisingly affordable and was hundreds of dollars cheaper than the other companies I considered. I highly recommend Alaska's Finest Tours and Adventures, with a special shout out to Martin for helping me to coordinate!

Used AK Finest for transportation from Anchorage airport to Alyeska resort in Girdwood. Booked a day in advance for 2 at $50 per person. Service communicated well, retrieved us promptly from the airport, used a large commercial passenger vehicle with ample room for ski bags, and delivered us promptly to the destination. Exactly what I would want at an affordable price.

Seamless airport pick up and speedy drop off right to the door of where we are staying. Mathew was so accommodating and very willing to share his knowledge of the local area.

Reliable , convenient inexpensive transportation between anchorage and girdwood. No ubers. My two transfers were outside normal pickup times. Early morning from girdwood and late evening from anchorage. Alex went out of his way to make it happen Efficient friendly service. Thanks

We booked the Girdwood Express to take us directly from Anchorage to Girdwood, and it was truly a fantastic deal. Our guides Alex and Ben were great, sharing info with us about the local area on our drive up. When we were about to reach Girdwood, they pointed out glaciers to us in the distance and said it was only a short drive away if we wanted to pop by and see them closer so of course we said yes! We did mini stops at the bottom of Explorer, Middle, Byron and Portage Glaciers. (We ended up going back the next day for the quick walk to Byron Glacier.) Their love for Alaska was evident and contagious, and I cannot recommend them enough for transport between Anchorage and Girdwood.

Had a great day, Melissa was a fabulous tour guide and so full of information. The conservation wildlife park was very interesting and Melissa knew every animal by name!

I had very bad customer experience with the Girdwood Express service by Alaska's Finest tours & Cruises. The transfer was arranged in advance & confirmed over the phone. The evening before the transfer I got a text asking to call back the company. As I was in the sea (on a cruise) I could call back only the morning of the transfer during the cruise disembarkation. I was informed that the transfer can't be completed as arranged and must be postponed by 3.5 hours and there are no other options. I said "Well, fine". Later in the day as I realized that it's just impossible for a family to wait for over 3 hours on a gas station, I made another call to see if I can get anything earlier or at least to change the pickup point to another standard Girdwood Express pickup point at the lodge. The company said it's impossible as there is a lot of traffic due to a festival and a driver is already arranged. Both statements were just plain lies. The festival closures finished by 11AM, so there was no traffic problems (we were in the town and could see it). Also when we finally got on the bus around 6:15, the driver had no idea we are waiting for him and was just occasionally stopping as it was an unrelated excursion bus by same company. I suppose that's why company did not want the bus to go into the town to the regular stop location. The whole idea was just to get extra money instead of running proper Girdwood express. And this is even less understandable give our family paid for 4 people more than it would take to arrange a taxi from Girdwood to Anchorage.
