1 Hour Fairbanks Guided, Double Rider, Snowmobile Adventure

Had an awesome experience here with my girlfriend! Josh was a great guide and took us through some beautiful country on our snowmobiles, which were great to ride.

It was my first time driving a snowmobile. Our guide, Josh Cargle was very patient and amazing. He made the experience very easy and memorable. I even got up to 40 MPH with his encouragement. My nephew AZ was loving life.

Absolutely amazing! You're provided all the gear from head to toe. You get to take a few practice laps before you start your journey to get a feel for the machine. It was surprisingly easy. The tour was spectacular with a stop part way for photo ops. Absolutely recommend!

My wife and I actually did the 2 hour snowmobile tour. The guide was very friendly and helpful. The machines were newer and well kept. I highly recommend this tour. (I hated they charged a credit card fee as well as booking fee on their website. Just put it into the price!)

This was so much fun. Rodney was extremely patient with us and we were traveling with two children who were very nervous about going, but he did not rush us and was extremely accommodating. The tour service is very organized and efficient, and the snow machines were on great shape with hand warmers for both the driver and passenger. Book this you will not be disappointed!

We actually did 2 hrs but there wasn’t a drop down choice for that. Will was our guide. He was very nice and chill. The ride was amazing and he stopped a couple times to point out moose and a fox! Was amazing. Plus Rod the owner went out to look for my wife’s lost glove and found it! Rods is amazing, gave us big boots, parka, and everything to keep us warm. This was a very awesome tour.

First class experience. Highly recommend. One hour was enough for me! Equipment was new and well appointed.

We had a fantastic time riding snowmobiles for one hour last week. The six of us rode on three snowmobiles. Our guide was friendly and made sure we knew what we were doing. The snowmobile's heated seats and handles made our ride comfortable. There was plenty of room inside to add layers comfortably and everything was very clean. The scenery was so pretty.

Had the pleasure of mushing with Kristin eckwright. She was supremely knowledgeable in environment and all things Alaskan husky. It was extraordinarily beautiful and a wonderful smooth ride. The dogs were smart and disciplined, but the musher was amazing. Go!

Snowmobiling was great. This one hour snow mobile ride was EPIC! We went on our tour with Josh through trees, along the Chena river and past a frozen lake. It was all magical... My wife and I had an AMAZING time.

We had a fantastic time on the 1-hour guided snowmobile tour. Riding a snowmobile for the first time was easy and enjoyable thanks to our guide, Josh. He did an excellent job explaining everything, making us feel comfortable, and easing us into the ride. My wife and I rode together on a double snowmobile and loved the experience. Josh was attentive throughout the tour and even stopped along the route to look for moose, which added to the adventure and made the ride feel special and personal. This was a fun, memorable way to experience the Alaskan winter landscape, and we would absolutely recommend this tour—especially for first-time riders.

We originally requested 2 single rides and 1 double. We then realized our riders exceeded the weight restriction for a double and inquired about cancelling the double. Rods reached out immediately and resolve the issue, having our tall teen ride with the guide and his Dad on his own. No upcharge. Will was our guide and he was awesome! Personable and kind, he gave us moments of speed while still keeping track of those who were more trepidatious. If you are wondering if Rods is the place for you...it is!!! Request Will and you won't be sorry! 5 stars HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Went dog sledding with Kristen and she was Fantastic very satisfied and I will be talking about it for the rest of my life.

We went as a goup of four of us, all on individual sleds. Josh Cargle was our guide, and he was great! We all had a wonderful experience! It was very cold that day - I think somewhere around 35 below. I am so very glad we were able to do it, as the views and experience were unforgetable. I am glad we went, and would totally do this again given the opportunity. Thank you!

The entire staff of Rod's was amazing! I took all family members here for dog mushing, snow machine riding, and ice fishing. The base staff were all friendly and helpful. The building clean and organized. The gear also clean and in good repair. Their equipment was in perfect running order. From the initial phone call to the end of the last tour, their kindness and professionalism were always "on point".

Will was such an AMAZING guide! Came with family and was worried about my grandma, as she drove her own machine. Will did an amazing job at making sure she was all set and ready to go. Bathrooms and common spaces were clean and organized. Safe to say Grandma and I had a great time! Thank you, Will!

This was awesome. Riding the snowmobiles were very fun. Our guide was knowledgeable and kind. We saw a moose! We had a nice stop in the middle to take pictures.

Josh took us on our first experience snowmobiling. We had individual machines and toured for 2 hours. Josh was super friendly, taking the time to make sure everyone was safe and comfortable. We had so much fun, we went back the next day for a 1 hour tour!

Our experience going snowmobiling with Rod’s Alaskan Guide Service was terrific. To begin with, we were given the option to put on additional gear (thicker jackets, snow boots, thicker gloves), which we gladly took advantage of once we realized another layer couldn’t hurt. The heated helmets and handles on the snowmobile also made the ride comfortable. Our guide, Rodney, was extremely professional and made sure we were all relaxed and well-equipped. He gave us a good amount of time to take photos in between, answered all our questions, and even taught us a little about the river. Halfway through the ride, we were able to switch riders to give everyone in our family a chance to drive. The views were beautiful, and our whole family had fun –we would definitely recommend it.
