BEAUTIFUL ROOM! Newly built and furnished. Modern! Great cozy mattress and linens made it feel like home! So clean and cozy. Real genuine coffee and coffee maker in room! Not general coffee pods. A bathroom to take an actual bath! Must stay! Road noise seems to be a common issue, with windows open or closed. Ear plugs or white noise machine would be advised. Walls a weeee bit thin… but not bad if lucky enough to have respectful patrons next door. Staff incredibly hospitable and helpful. This was such a cozy relief compared to some other places to stay.

Great location and the building is brand new. Apartment style rooms and the room was very clean. It is right next to the road so you can hear cars driving by, but we didn’t have any trouble sleeping. I made note that in other reviews, people mentioned they had trouble getting a code at check in. So I tried calling a few days in advanced to avoid this problem. I tried calling a handful of times, with no answer each time, and left 2 voicemails just to clarify check in procedures. I saw there was an option to message on Expedia under my reservation, so I tried that after no response from calling. Morning of check in day, I did receive a text from a different number saying “I sent the code last night and this morning. The code is —— and checkin is at 4” I texted back thank you and mentioned how I never received an email or message with check in instructions until now. When we arrived, the instructions are still a little weird as we didn’t know what unit number we had booked. I texted back the same number asking that, and I did receive a call within a few minutes. The lady on the phone had some frustration in her tone as she explained she sent me messages 3 times on Expedia, from which it did sound like technical issues as I had never received those messages. However, I didn’t like that she was directing that frustration towards me even if she didn’t mean to. Made me feel slightly uncomfortable and felt like I was being an inconvenience when I was just trying to check into the hotel I had booked. On Expedia, it states that they have a virtual front desk and to reach out ahead of time for check in instructions. After we got into our unit, another family pulled up and seemed confused too. They mentioned they tried calling and messaging on booking.com under their reservation and they never got a response. I like the idea of a virtual front desk, but they definitely need to fix it or do something different. It sounds like this is a recurring issue. I can tell it’s frustrating on their part, but as a guest, I should not feel like that’s my fault. Just leaving this review as this place has so much potential since the rooms and location are great, just need to tweak those customer service skills. That would be the only reason for any hesitation I would have if I were to stay here again.
This place was a pleasant surprise. It is located slightly out of town, but it is new, clean and spacious. We had a two bedroom unit with a furnished kitchen. All of the rooms are tastefully decorated. Parking is easy. The family that manages the property is super helpful. We really appreciated the great hospitality. We had a great experience.
I do not like leaving bad reviews. But this place made my expensive vacation miserable. And I think others should be aware. When you arrive to check in there is nobody on site and no instructions. I had to call several times and nobody answered. About 30 minutes later I started to leave to find another hotel and then they returned my call. They then instructed you on a keypad code for your key to unlock your door. I was not the only one that experienced this over the next several days. Several other guests knocked on my door, trying to find the office and how to get in, and could not reach anybody by phone. They had the same experience. My room looked nothing like the pictures. The rooms are very loud. You can hear everybody on each side of your room what they’re talking about what they’re watching and even all night snoring. On top of that, you have a busy highway in your backyard that it’s so loud you can’t even hear your TV unless the volume is all the way up On the site, it makes it look like you’re next to the lake or Lake views but you have neither the lake is down the street and you have no view at all of it My bathroom window would not close. So if you would like natural air conditioning, you might want this room. It gets very cold. Very disappointed.
I had the good fortune of staying at this brand new lodge in May 2023. OMG!!! So amazing. For a new place they do things the right way. The rooms are HUGE and very comfortable. The mattresses are so amazing I tried to figure out who made them to buy for my next bed. The sheets, comforters, etc. are high quality. When you lie down it's like sinking into a cloud. All amenities are top quality, from the furnishings to the linens, towels, etc. The bathroom is large and has a great soaking tub/shower. One of the nicest things was the owner. She took great care of me and my father. She anticipated our needs while there, for example, put us in a room on ground level so my 91 year old dad wouldn't have to walk up the stairs to the 2nd floor. She also had great advice on things to do/see while there and even made a restaurant reservation for us at The Flats Bistro. (a must try). The location is convenient to town, about 5-8 minutes to restaurants, shopping, etc. The lodge is across the street from Longmere lake and from the upstairs suites and rooms you can see the lake over/through the trees. I highly recommend this lodge for anyone visiting the area for fishing, snowmobiling, sightseeing, hunting, ATV riding, etc.
