Riding Emtbs, Let Yourself Be Guided Through Cezanne's Landscapes

We absolutely loved the bike tour with Vincent. He took us through beautiful routes, interesting sites and was very aware and considerate of the groups’ confidence/biking skills. It was our favourite activity in Aix, highly recommended.

I booked this on a last minute trip to Aix en Provence because I love biking. I didn't read the tour description carefully so each step of the way was a PLEASANT and AMAZING surprise! I'm still marveling that one experience can seamlessly weave together biking in a fragrant pine forest, impressionist art history, learning about Aix, great stories, magnificent scenery, a charismatic guide. You will not have a boring time with Vincent! I've taken a lot of bike tours and this one was a standout. So unique and marvelous how biking and Cézanne blended together.

This trip was a charm with the guide, Vincent, giving us even more than expected. It's a gorgeous terrain full of surprises, like the red rocks and the reservoir. We started in the fields and picked wild rosemary, thyme. Even a few sprigs of lavender were found. With just two of us on this tour, Vincent gave us the royal treatment. It was special to be in Cezanne country

Vincent is able to craft the experience to the rider(s) and produce a wonderful experience. If you want to know the history of an area, Vincent can talk to you about it. If you want to grind out a ride as fast and hard as possible, Vincent can do it. If you want to leisurely explore the area on e-mtb, well I think you get the idea. What you should really take away from the experience is that you should not hesitate to sign up and enjoy. We will be back in the area as soon as we can and will again reach out to him.

The guide, Vincent, was very thoughtful in preparing us at the beginning and was very patient with the group. The bikes were super and very trail worthy. The value was truly amazing in that we were on the tour for close to 4 hours with a diversity of terrain from single track to some roads. The views of the mountains and a beautiful lake were amazing. We felt safe the whole time and Vincent was very nice and welcoming with the patience to alternate between French and English explanations.

I had a glorious experience with Vincent. He explained the history, geology and ruins along the way. We went all the way to Saint - Victoire and saw the sunset before we returned. It was a long journey -which I loved- and I felt energized and fulfilled not exhausted. Very good trip.

Excellent experience! Our guide Vincent was terrific. He ensured our safety while also making sure we were challenged at a level that met the needs of the entire group which ranged from 11 and 14 year old boys who liked to go fast and a 55 year old who biked more carefully. It was a very hot day but we took breaks in the shade and found places to refill water so it was enjoyable. Note: you should have some experience biking to take this tour.

This was an excellent tour. Vincent was a great guide - he took additional care to make sure we were comfortable on the bikes and safely guided us. He was an informed and engaging guide. This tour will take you to the beautiful countryside, which is otherwise inaccessible except by bike and was the top event of our holiday

Amazing trip. So close to the city, and yet you’re immediately in nature. Can absolutely understand the paintings inspired by the mountains.

Unbelievably good time. The bikes were good quality and the electric motors were completely adequate for even the steepest parts of the track. The trails were really delightful with a good balance of variation (smooth gravel, single trail, very safe road) for my small group, and the scenery was magnificent. Really stunning. Vincent was a great guide: thoughtful, intelligent and with a good sense of humour and he kept us well informed of what we were seeing. I’d go again, anytime.

This is an absolute must do when visiting Aix! My wife and I had an amazing time. The ride is doable at any skill level. It’s a wonderful way to see parts of Aix you otherwise wouldn’t. You get to see unreal countryside that inspired Cezanne’s paintings. This tour is cannot be missed!

Our guide Vincent led a fun and interesting bike ride around Mt Sainte Victoire. He showed us famous sites which Cezanne painted. A beautiful ride with a very charming and enlightening guide. A highlight of our stay in Provence.

We had a great outing with Vincent today. Great route and fantastic scenery. The equipment was in good repair and Vincent gave good instructions on how to properly operate the bikes. These are mountain bikes on trails, not a street ride so govern yourself accordingly. We had a great experience and would highly recommend.

I had such a great time on this 3+ hour tour. I was the only non-French speaking participant but the instructor translated everything for the riders and made the tour so comfortable. The ride was a mix of street, dirt road, single track and park paths. Never a dull moment and the views were always incredible. I highly recommend!

What an amazing experience we had on our e-bike tour! We got comfortable learning the feel of our new rides on the easy trip out of Aix and then got to the rugged bouncy trail fun that lead to spectacular views where we learned all about the region and Cezanne. Lavender fields that were simply spectacular and the tree lined path on the way back to town made this ride one of the most memorable moments of our whole trip!

When I thought my trip could not get any better! If you are in Aix and are able to ride a bike, this is a must do! Electric bike makes going uphill a breeze and so much fun. Traveling through the forest and the neighborhoods and gorgeous scenery everywhere. Vincent gave great instructions that I felt completely confident after just minutes. I can’t say enough about it. It was just wonderful.

What a great way to experience life outside the city lines. It was an adventure with amazing photo stops along the way. Vincent made it interesting and enjoyable! For someone who never road an E-bike it was a quick and easy learn, just be prepared for some fun off trail riding!

Mountain e-biking. We had a great adventure with Vincent riding up to and around Sainte Victoire Mountain. 3 1/2 hours of biking both on and off trails, from the lavender fields to a spectacular view overlooking the city and the fields below. Vincent showed us some sights while getting in some great exercise. Not your run-of-the-mill e-bike tour of the city.

If you have never done mountain biking on mountain bikes, this experience can be a challenge. The terrain is a combo of roads, gravel paths, unexpected turns into wooded forests with very narrow paths or no paths. That said, I am so glad I didn’t let my nervousness stop me from trying g this most excellent adventure into the countryside outside of the town. The scenery was excellent and our fearless leader had great confidence in our ability to follow him…he was very encouraging to those of us who had never tried anything like this. Highly recommend but know that it can be a challenge and be prepared to embrace it! You will not regret it

We were a group of 4. Had an excellent time. Vincent was a terrific guide. Very patient, considering we were 15 mins late. He took the time to set us up with our gear and bikes( explaining how to use ebikes). Plenty of stops along the way showing the area. Would highly recommend.

Really lovely half day trip out of Aix into the nearby countryside. Scenery was stunning and we were able to cover a lot of ground easily due to the e-bikes. Vincent was a superb guide, very interesting and knowledgeable and he looked after us really well.

We had a lovely bike ride through the countryside. Vincent was a great guide. The bikes were in great condition and made the hill climbing easy. A fun morning.

This bike ride was one of the absolute best things I did in my six weeks in Europe. Vincent was a patient and thoughtful guide which was very helpful because I had never been on an E bike. I was the only person on the ride that day, and it was such an incredible experience. I loved the way Vincent shared stories and history along the ride. I learned about the artists that used to paint in that area and it was a great combination of riding and story telling and nature. I highly recommend it. My only tip would be to wear bike shorts.

Vincent took time to fit each bike, gave detailed instruction of controls. We rode 24 miles thru parks, city, countryside via roads and gravel trails. We saw fabulous vistas of the Cézanne’s muse, St Victorie mountain, wineries, olive groves. Vincent pointed out many details along the way and was very accommodating to our pace. He filmed us riding, took photos at our stops, and shared all after the ride. We would definitely schedule again the next time we are in Aix en Provence.

I recommend this exposition to anyone who wants to see more nature near Aix-en-Provence. Vincent is attentive and cares a lot about taking you to the most beautiful spots. It was my first time mountain-biking and Vincent made sure everything was safe and secure.

We had a wonderful time with Vincent today on our e-bike tour. It was such a unique experience and Vincent was so knowledgeable. He taught a lot about e-bike usage, Cezanne, marble, and the aqua duct. He also gave us a nice lesson in French cultural practices :)

Great e-bike tour with amazing views. Vincent was an awesome guide! Bike shorts would be recommended. There is a little pouch on the bike that easily holds y phone & wallet but leave everything else at home, it is not needed. There are some hills & gradual inclines but with E-bike you get right up them.

Thoroughly enjoyed our ride around Aix with Vincent. Beautiful countryside and the climbs made easy by the e bikes. Would absolutely recommend this for a relaxing way to see the area.

This is a remarkable adventure! The beauty of the Aix region is the reason I choses to do this, even though I ALWAYS fall off my bike. Vincent was a fabulous guide and gave us time to admire the beauty from multiple scenic locations. We were fortunate to be there during the lavender season, so that was an added bonus. Vincent was extremely communicative prior to the bike trip and was delightful during the trip. He put up with my mishaps, even though it would have been easier for him if I'd stayed upright. I might add that there is a steady, up-hill climb on the first half. Even with an e-bike, it took all I had, but the views were worth it. Coming back down was a breeze!

A lovely way to spend an afternoon. Our route took us into the forest and some spectacular views before heading to the lavender fields. Our guide, Vincent, was very knowledgable and made the ride really interesting. I would definitely recommend.

Vincent is a knowledgeable tour guide. He knows territories and their stories; he knows bikes and how to navigate terrain safely but with a flare of adventure. The terrain of St. Victoire is naturally amazing, and wonderful to tour on bike with Vincent. He is a smart and confident tour guide. You will learn about the mountains, the history, the aqueduct that runs through it, and the artist Cezannes inspiration. The Bikes were in great condition and Vincent will tailor to your needs at any biking level. He is personable and he clearly loves what he does. He is inspired and you will be too!

Vincent is a great guide and weaves an interesting story about Cezanne, Emile Zola and the scenes that inspired them. Most of the ride is on quiet, well groomed trails. This was one of the highlights of our trip!

His explanations about art, history, and nature were also enjoyable. I highly recommend this experience for anyone who wants to enjoy the nature of southern France. Since you cycle through the wilderness—riding over bumpy paths, weaving through bushes, and sometimes picking up a lot of speed—it has a wild, adventurous feel (for me). So it’s probably better suited for those who are comfortable with biking.

Such a wonderful way to spend a morning! Vincent explained the bikes to us very well- these are heavy-duty bikes for mountain riding. During the tour, we made plenty of stops for viewing points and facts. I didn’t know ANY of the facts prior to the trip. It was a heck of a workout and we were all very sweaty by the end- but somehow Vincent still smelled great when we all said goodbye! I would do this same tour again when I’m back in Aix.

We had an amazing time on this tour! Stunning views of the mountain and Cezanne country. Vincent was a superb guide and knew a lot about the area. It was very easy to get to the bike shop from Aix and just overall a really smooth process! It’s great to be on the e-bike too as we felt we covered a lot of ground during the tour. We felt like Vincent tailored the cycling to our abilities which meant it was a perfect balance of challenge vs comfort. Definitely recommend this if you are in Aix!
