Provence Wineries And Luberon Villages Day Trip From Aix-en-provence

I did a wine & Luberon Villages tour last Saturday with Greg Duvaut as the guide. It was a fantastic day! The wines, shopping & villages were great & Greg was a knowledgeable, helpful, friendly guide. I would definitely recommend doing one of his tours again.

Greg was an excellent tour guide. We experienced two local wineries and Greg’s knowledge of the local wines and viticulture was very informative. Then in the afternoon we visited several of the Luberon villages with ample time in each to enjoy their uniqueness. Again, Greg’s knowledge of the history and culture of the Luberon was informative and delivered with his easy manner. We really enjoyed the day. Highly recommended.

Fantastic, friendly guide who deftly led us through a day of stunning experiences and sights. The wine tasting with view of Mont St-Victoire was sublime and the vineyard hosts took time to to explain everything to us in English. Being driven through the Lubéron region and taken to the most scenic viewpoints was also unforgettable. Being in a small tour group made it all much more enjoyable. Unmissable if you are visiting for a brief period. Thank you 'Coco'!

Went on a full day wine + Luberon villages tour with Celestine and had an amazing time! The wine tour was in the morning, after which we returned to Aix-en-Provence for a short stop before continuing with the villages in the afternoon. Celestine was so friendly, helpful, warm and engaging. Even though it was a long day, she kept us all entertained throughout with lots of interesting information about Aix and the places we visited. She is very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. The wines we tried were delicious, and the villages very pretty - we had a wonderful time, and Celestine’s energy and commentary made it even more incredible. She even makes sure we get the best photo stops. We would have just liked a bit more time in Loumarin. Highly recommend this tour and especially if Celestine is your guide!

Thomas S was a lovely driver and guide for us - buddy and I did the morning wine tour visiting two lovely local vineyards (he bought a dozen bottles at each location) and we enjoyed learning about the changes in rose! Subsequent afternoon was spent with a larger group touring villages of the Lubreron. Bit cloudy but it was nice walking around all the villages!

Greg was an amazing guide. Very knowledgeable and also very chilled, no rushing - just enjoying. Would recommend to anyone visiting Aix en Provence

We had a great time on this tour! Our guide, Greg was warm and accommodating, and checked in with us throughout the trip to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. We visited two wineries and three small towns, and made multiple stops along the way so we could take in the scenery and enjoy the views. We had a fantastic day with our tour guide, Greg. The wineries were smaller, family owned vineyards with delicious wines. Then exploring the small villages was made so easy. We spent the perfect amount of time in each place, and Greg even made a reservation for a us to have lunch at our first stop which was so helpful. We would definitely recommend this tour for people wanting to see more of the region but who don’t want to drive themselves.

I booked this through the Aix-en-Provence Tourism Office. After a week of bachelorette and wedding festivities, I wanted to stay in one place (Aix) and explore the Luberon on a guided tour instead of driving or hopping around - and it was the perfect choice. Great wine tasting in the morning, three beautiful villages (Lourmarin, Roussillon, and Gordes) in the afternoon, and Greg was a fun, thoughtful, and incredibly knowledgeable guide. A long day, but absolutely worth it.

10/10 for our tour guide Susanna! She is was knowledgeable, friendly, and was excellent all around. It’s a long day, you do the wine tasting in the morning (9am), have a break back in Aix and then do the villages in the afternoon and back to Aix around 7pm. If you’re up for a full day, book it - you won’t be dissapointed. Van was clean, comfortable and air conditioned.

From the moment he picked us up he lead our tour with deep knowledge, tailored the experience to our needs and was extremely personable. Greg was a fantastic tour guide full of information and we saw beautiful villages and Greg took great pictures of us in the lavender fields and also Gordes as a back drop . He's a lot of fun and kept us on schedule!

Great wineries and morning. Was a fun experience getting out of the city and understanding the local wines, especially the rosé. Bought a couple to enjoy with our meals. We weren’t feeling well, so left after the morning part when is stopped back in Aix, but it wasn’t because of the tour.

Our tour driver, Greg, was excellent. He spoke perfect English and was very knowledgeable about the region and wine industry. He has a nice sense of humor and is entertaining. The van was very comfortable. It is a full 10 hours but packed with wine tasting, beautiful scenery and villages, so it goes fast. As it is a long day, wear comfortable clothes and shoes, and bring water and snacks-none are provided.

Was one of the best excursions I have had. Not only did we get to see a lot, I learned about culture, wine, and scenery. Our tour guide Celestine was truly such a wonderful person and was relatable and knowledgeable about the entirety of our tour. The wineries we visited were top notch with one being more modern and the other being a generational winery that was beautiful. After this, the Luberon section was tastefully done and didn’t feel too long or too short. Overall, I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to optimize their time in France and learn and experience as much as possible. Additionally, one last shout out to Celestine, you truly were such a delight!

Our tour guide JC was PHENOMENAL! The general mood of the group was adventurous and excited. Everyone had a great time! We especially appreciated JC’s knowledge of each location. All in all it would be hard to pick a favorite location. One tip-Although there are opportunities to get refreshments at each location, some of the longer drives we were glad to have brought our own refreshments. Bring extra water and snacks

Marion was an amazing guide! She was very knowledgeable about the wines and the villages. Her enthusiasm for the area and her love for its history shined throughout the very long day. She is funny and upbeat and read the group very well. We loved the whole day.

A fabulous but long day exploring Provence and the Luberon Valley. Started with two great wine tastings. Then off to three different, cute hill towns. All quintessentially French with spectacular views.

Wonderful and informative stops at the two wineries, then a breathtaking tour of mountain villages. Host/driver Corrine was a pleasure to ride with!

We did the full day wine and village tour. It was excellent, informative and fun. Our guide CoCo was so knowledgeable and very sweet. The wine was good and I learned so much about the region. Definitely a must for any trip to Provence.

I came to Provence with my wife and we had the most unforgettable time. The sun drenched landscapes make you realize the healing & beautiful nature of this area. The company helped as well, as we toured with Adrien & Greg, during multi-day private tours (which I HIGHLY recommend) through the Luberon, Saint Remy, Arles, Wineries, and all over really. It’s all a must see to truly get a feel for this incredible region. Of all my time in France these days were my favorite and I’ll take them with me for the rest of my days. Cannot recommend touring with this company and these incredible guides, it is an absolute MUST DO. Thank me later :)

Firstly, our tour guide, Corinne, was extremely knowledgeable and passionate. We would highly recommend any tour with her, you will be in great hands. The morning portion of the tour was slow paced and the different wineries were very enjoyable. The afternoon portion to the Luberon villages was fast paced and did feel a bit rushed, though otherwise it would have been impossible to see all the wonderfully unique villages included. In hindsight, we would have either done the tours on separate days (they can be booked separately) or only chosen one to allow for a relaxed lunch, as it made for a very full day. Just a consideration for future travellers depending on personal preference.

Our tour was a wonderful full day small group (8) van excursion including 2 smaller intimate wineries with ample tastings. This was followed by a 3 village tour. All were hilltop villages with significant history and great views. We were given plenty of time to wander and experience these stops. Our guide Greg was very knowledgable and a great communicator.

Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable about the history, culture, and hidden gems of the region, but he also showed genuine care for each member of our group. He remembered everyone’s name—even the tricky ones—and made sure we all felt included and looked after. He took us to stunning spots, even those that were hard to access or park near, and went out of his way to capture beautiful photos for us. We had a wonderful day in Provence. Our guide was Greg, always friendly and knowledgeable in a variety of areas. We were told a lot about the wines, the history of the place and saw beautiful villages. The tour lasted over 10 hours, but Greg made sure that we didn't notice how the time passed. We had DONATO as our wonderful tour guide. He was so informative and provided a lot of context and history of the area--all the more appreciated when we went on another tour with a different operator who basically sat in awkward silence for most of the ride. My only suggestion is perhaps switching the order of things so that we could visit the villages first and do the wine tastings in the afternoon instead; drinking 6-10 glasses at 10 am is just a little much even on vacation lol.

We chose to take the all-day experience and had a fabulous time. The van is air-conditioned and comfortable and we found the entire experience an easy way to cover a lot of ground in one day. We spent the morning visiting Provencal wineries with some wonderful wine-tastings. And the afternoon visiting the villages of the Luberon. Our tour guide Marian was delightful and fun to travel with, and also incredibly informative. As a winemaker herself, she had incredible knowledge to share giving us so much insight into the making of wine and tips for cellaring and serving. We travelled as a party of three and agreed that this was a fantastic way to experience the region around Provence in a short time. It gave us the confidence to then go off and explore more in our own car, which we did, travelling to Cassis the next day. Thank you Marian for a fantastic day - we met a wonderful group of people from all over the world on our tour - an added bonus.

The tour was an all day tour with Raphael. We were given extensive history of the region and visited 2 vineyards east of AIX EN PROVENCE. THis was before lunch. Our guide was personable and interesting and offered to take photos and stop at viewpoints. Afternoon included many Villages. Gordes, Rousillion and Loumarin were highlights. It's a long day. A few suggestions about the best way to use your 60 min in a village were offered but it pays to go to the T info to get more help.

While you spend a good amount of time in the van on this tour, the area you’re driving through is very beautiful. I think three villages may have been a little too much for our guide in the afternoon, she offered very little helpful input about our visit to Gorde, i in terms of how to approach the village. I was on the phone day. I went to the wineries in the morning, which was very nice, and a great contrast to the afternoon of visiting the villages. As with many tours, the main activity went in villages is shopping, I would’ve actually loved a small amount of guiding just to get more out of it. But having taken several of these to this week, I realize that most of the guidance is given during the van ride and stop our time for the guide to relax. I would definitely recommend it for people like me who do not have a vehicle or desire to drive on my own.

Our guide was amazing. Full of knowledge of the area and the wineries we visited. The wineries on our tour were also an excellent option with great hosts. Visited Lourmaine, Gorde and Roussillon and went through a few others which were all perfect options for me to experience the Luberon region. Highly recommend.

My friend and I did the 10 hour tour with our guide, Greg. The tour was an amazing way to educate ourselves about the wine region of Provence as well as see the most beautiful villages in the region. Greg was passionate and knowledgeable regarding the wines and the area. We have already told so many of our friends at home about our tour and how memorable it will always be.

Excellent tour with a very knowledgeable tour guide, Susan, who went out if her way to make us feel comfortable. It was a shame that we did not get to see Rousillon due to extreme heat wave.

It is a wonderful chance to sample local wines and see 3 beautiful villages. It is a long day, but it is a beautiful one! Our guide Adrien was fantastic!!!

Outstanding trip with our guide, Donato! The wineries were beautiful and the towns were rich in history and were stunning. The smells and sights of Provence were incredible. Best of all was our guide, Donato. He was a terrific historian sharing wonderful information about the sites we saw. He filled our day with beauty and information. You’ll be so lucky if you going this tour and have Donato as your guide.

The full day tour is actually two half day tours, which wasn’t indicated and involved heading back to tourism office and waiting an hour for next tour. The winery tour was the morning tour and would have been preferable in the afternoon. Wine tasting at 10 am just not optimal. Our guide on both am and pm - Remy, was knowledgeable and did a fantastic job. The Luberon Villages tour was a highlight.
