Luberon Villages Half-day Tour From Aix-en-provence

It is a wonderful drive to small towns I would not have been able to visit. A small map of each town would be a nice touch. Also in the fall getting to watch the sunset in the last stop is nice but to cold. Can the trip be reversed and sunset in the beginning somewhere?

What an amazing day - despite the weather .... our guide was energetic and informative. She wore a headset so the whole van could hear her commentary during this beautiful drive. Each village had it's own charm. We wanted to see these lovely villages without doing the drive ... it was a well planned excursion with just the right amount of time at each stop ... thanks for a great day

Beautiful towns. Great tour guide. Very good way to share the Luberon with family. Very nice because we did not have a car and so it was a wonderful way to drive through the area without the stress of renting a car or driving and winding roads.

Lovely tour taking in three of the most beautiful village in Provence-Gorde,Roussillon and Loumarin.Our driver/guide Greg was excellent .His humour,extensive background knowledge of the region and indeed all things French enriched the whole experience.He established a good rapport with the whole group. Would thoroughly recommend this tour.

The whole experience was more than I expected. Sebastian was very informative. The three stops along the way were excellent . Long enough to be able to soak in the landscape and enjoy the local wine and people and shopping

Well worth it! From the van to the guide, every detail was taken care of. Our guide gave tips for all levels of ability. This allowed everyone to explore and enjoy the experience no matter what your ability level allowed. My husband and I are 70 but very fit. We loved hiking up to the highest points but knew others still enjoyed less strenuous experiences. At one stop our guide reccommended a bar with an incredible view that worked well for those who wanted a nice break while enjoying the views.

This was a great tour you see 4 hill towns of Provence . Stopping for enough time in each . Loved Marion Brun she’s so knowledgeable, friendly . She made the trip so much fun . The other folks were so friendly. It was just enough time so that we were not tired .

Skip the stress of navigating and hunting for rare parking spaces in these historic hillside villages. Our outstanding expert guide from Aix-En_Provence was Gregg. A small group van tour offers an intimate journey through some of France's most picturesque landscapes. We could easily chat with Gregg and and ask questions. Some of the most wonderful stops were: Gordes, Rousillon (multi-colored ochre cliffs feel like stepping onto an artists palette) and Lourmarin (nestled among olive groves and vineyards, this vibrant village offers artisan boutiques and a Renaissance castle). I traveled with my adult daughter. I chose a van tour due to our limited time in Provence and wanted to see as much as possible without the hassle of driving myself. Mission accomplished!

Even in overcast and rainy conditions, the villages of the Luberon sparkle in their beauty. Each has its own character and it’s easy to lose yourself in the narrow winding streets while pausing to take in the views. The time spent in each village was just right, allowing time to explore, shop a bit, and even have a glass of wine. Our tour guide was terrific and she shared lots of history and culture that gave us a better understanding and appreciation of the region and each individual village.

Excellent outing timed very nicely - Greg, our guide, was friendly and extremely knowledgeable- with a good sense of humor and lots of patience. Very lovely way to spend the afternoon leaving at 1pm and returning around 7:00-7:30pm

I do not generally take tours but having decided not to rent a car , this experience ran by ‘à la française’ was a must . I was delighted at the small group of people - only 8- which made the day a delightful experience out of the city . Three villages, and enough time to explore each, and a professional tour guide who provided with all necessary information without overwhelming details. I do not hesitate to recommend !

Greg was great driver and guide., very informative. He also took pictures of us at photo stops. Lourmarin is cute town, Gordes is stunning g and we had glass of wine there. Rousillion was ok, nothing special. Recommend the tour. It is 6 hours

Greg was very informative and stopped at Bonnieu and before arriving in Gordes so we could take pictures. He also took great pictures of us in front of the villages. Lourmarin was cute and had time for quick bite. Had coffee in Rousillion which was my least favorite village. Gordes is spectacular and we had wine there

This was the perfect was to experience the Luberon Villages. Our guide, Corrine, provided the perfect combination of history and current events to explain the area. She was a delightful guide.

We had an excellent experience with Greg. He was friendly, knowledgable and seemed to really enjoy his job. We had a group of 8 traveling to 4 villages in a very comfortable and clean vehicle. During the ride, Greg shared many stories about the villages and other interesting topics on the area. He offered suggestions on what to see in each village. It was a delightful 6 hours. Highly recommend!

This was a wonderful tour of the area. The highlight for us was the tour of the ochre hills at Roussillon. Marion, the tour guide was very friendly and helpful.

Greg it was fantastic! He was funny and charismatic and interacted very well with the entire group he made everybody feel welcome and planned everything out perfectly. I would say we had enough time and did everything we wanted. He even went above and beyond and took photos for all of us at the best spots. Would definitely recommend this tour. It was a perfect way to see all these little villages we wouldn’t have otherwise have seen in such a short amount of time. Would definitely recommend we got the best photos and experience! Greg was a fantastic guide for our tour into the hills of the Provence. He was a safe driver, and very knowledgeable about the history of the region and France. We had a lovely afternoon exploring several villages with lots of photo opportunities and we thoroughly enjoyed the pretty Provence region.

Greg was perfect the right balance of information, humour and knowledge. The group was small only 6 of us pickup was easy, Greg became the professional photographer for us all. We had plenty of time in each village and didn’t feel rushed.

Greg was an excellent tour guide with great insight to the history of the three villages as well as the local wine, lavender and produce industries. The villages themselves are quiet but worth seeing if you are staying in the area. We recommend.

This was an incredible way to see Luberon and the neighboring villages. Our guide was awesome, she had a deep knowledge of each region we stopped at and added valuable background/context as we were approaching and leaving each of the villages. We went to Lourmarin, stopped at Bonnieux for a photo, then Roussillon, and finished up with Gordes. Was such a great experience and can't recommend enough doing this tour with our guide!

My husband and I took this tour and we started in Aix. Once we got to the first location, we grabbed lunch which took up pretty much our whole time in that town. I wish we could’ve spend at least and hour and a half here! Then we got the photo op and continued onto Roussillon. Our tour guide there wasn’t much to do there so we shortened this stop to 30 minutes. Then we continued to Gordes which is a beautiful little town on the hillside, but we only spent an hour here. I wish that since we only spent 30 minutes in the one town, we could’ve gotten that back in Gordes. It was a nice van ride to all the locations, but the microphone is a bit loud. I think it would’ve been helpful if our tour guide could’ve given more history on each place.

We had a wonderful time exploring the beautiful environment of Luberon , our guide Corrine gave us an amazing experience, the drive to each village was comfortable and her knowledge of the area and landscape was so enjoyable to listen to and to learn so much about the history of Aix and the Luberon area. It has definitely inspired us to return one day and spend more time in the villages of Luberon with its spectacular views and architecture

Excellent half day tour of Luberon. Plenty of time to shop as well as sight see. The drive through the region is as wonderful as the villages we saw.

This is an excellent tour. The sights are fantastic and very interesting. So much history in half a day! Our tour guide, Suzanna, was very extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and flexible to our preferences. I highly recommend this tour.

Despite very hot temperatures, the guide did her best to make this trip pleasant and informative I was afraid the tour will get canceled with temperatures over 100F No, it went on with full minibus and for full 6 hours Beautiful mountain villages Nice views Lavender fields Good ice cream shops Lavender honey Village churches

Audrey was a great tour guide very nice. Smiling all the time. Great driver. It was a great experience to visit a few villages foe a few hours in the afternoon.

The villages were beautiful though extremely hot while we were there. The guide Greg was phenomenal, giving us interesting tidbits about the region and history while we were in the van. He left us to wander on our own for about an hour in each village, which was perfect.

This was a truly wonderful tour! It was the perfect way to get a taste of some of the Luberon villages. The three villages where we spent the most time were distinct from each other but all incredibly beautiful. Our guide Greg was fantastic — very informative and also entertaining. He took such good care of my mom who is in her 80s, so I was grateful for that. There were some spectacular views between stops in the villages, and it was an amazing way to experience the Luberon!

It was beautiful in both areas! W had a very knowledgeable guide. Only negative was a winery we visited was without lights 🙁

Stopped at 3 different villages and we had ample time to roam and explore each one. We also stopped for photo opportunities at lavender fields and viewpoints.
