Inga was absolutely wonderful! The food was amazing, but Inga’s company was even better. She made the entire experience so special with her warmth, knowledge, and hospitality. It was a memorable experience, and we couldn’t have asked for a better host. Highly recommend!

Great experience, despite the pouring rain because of our guide Inga Brown. She gave us interesting facts and history about Aix en Provence as we made our way through the town and the food tastings were excellent. I highly recommend this tour with Inga!
Our guide, Inga Brown, was very personable, informative and entertaining. What could have been a miserable tour due to pouring rain, quickly turned into great laughs and fun memorie with Inga's guidance. The truffle lesson, cheese shop, dinner, wine and pastries were amazing. Highly recommend. Ask for Imga!
Nice walking tour (even in the rain). Igna B. selected great places to visit. From sweet to savory and good wine, we throughly enjoy our evening. At the end it was as if we were leaving a friend. Thank you, Inga... until next time. Highly recommend!
Inga was the best tour guide we’ve ever had. She was more like a good friend than a guide. She knew the city and the food establishments so well. Her warm engaging personality put us and the food purveyors in a great mood. The variety of food was perfect— truffles, cheeses, ice cream, and a delicious sit down open air dinner. Made for a wonderful culinary adventure.
Inga was a dream! She’s a lively Scottish woman who has lived in France for the last 8 years. Easy to talk to and has a great perspective on living the French way. Also willing to help us outside of our tour if we had any needs. The tour was super fun. Actually it exceeded all our expectations. Helped us decide where to eat the days following.
Inga was a delight and made the tour so much fun. Saw much of the town that we had not yet seen. Recommend this tour at the beginning of your stay as she is very willing to help you navigate the old town.
Our guide was very friendly and informative. Food was fantastic!
We had a great time on this food tour. Inga was our guide and had personality to spare! Having lived in France for 20+ years, she has the experience and knowledge of a local, but perfect English due to her Scottish roots. We appreciated both the pace of the tour (comfortable/leisurely) and the wonderful food and company. Highly recommend!
This was an amazing experience thanks to our wonderful guide, Inga, and the great people at all the places we visited! The food was amazing and we went to parts of the city we would have never known to go to or been able to find on our own. Inga was amazing and taught us about local culinary traditions. It was so evident she had warm relationships with the people at places we visited. All the food was delicious and amazing. And plentiful! A great addition to our visit at Aix-En-Provence!
Inga was absolutely fantastic! She was so knowledgeable of the area and so easy to talk to. She interacted with locals in the area and it’s easy to see she is well liked by the locals as well. Inga is from Scotland so she was incredibly easy to understand and spoke wonderful English. The tour itself was great, I have never taken a food tour before and it opened my eyes to them. I will definitely be doing another in the future.
Excellent tour with an excellent guide, Inga Brown. So much food , we were stuffed. Inga gave us great commentary and tips for our trip
Deniz was great. Great intro to Centerville. Would love even more time with truffles, and any other Aix specialties.
Yoann showed us Aix Provence and Marseille today. Prompt and professional and allowed for some last minute changes. Really knowledgeable guide and with comfortable Mercedes van to transport us. He recommended very nice lunch restaurant and personally showed us shops with free food samples. He made sure we were back to our ship on time. Enjoyable day with Yoann!!!
Hi, I had an amazing experience with Inga as a travel guide. I booked my trip with French Travel Side, and they were amazing at handling all my hotel and travel expenses. I would recommend going with Inga; she is lovely! There is walking and food tasting of I believe it was three different places but the walking was no problem for me and my mother. It was roughly like twenty minutes to and from restaurants.
We did a tour with Thais who was such a wonderful guide. She did a fantastic job blending the history of Provence with its culture through our tasting of many different foods local to the region. This food tour was truly a highlight of our trip. It helped give us a great lay of the land of Aix as soon as we had arrived. Thais is very friendly and kind and would specifically recommend for anyone.
A very enjoyable tour with lovely food and wine. Tour guide Thais was also excellent. The only downside was AirBNB did not nominate the correct meeting point but fortunately the tour office responded quickly to enable us to join the tour on time.
Amazing experience with an incredible guide-Deniz. Truly made our experience unforgettable
This event was such a disappointment. We walked for 1 hour before we sat down to a tasting! The food was okay at best. Then we walked for another half hour to a very disappointing meal of the same thing. Melted cheese over ham and a small salad. This was not a tasting of the region or even good food. I thought it would be a fun way to celebrate my sister’s birthday and it was beyond disappointing. I have written several reviews for TripAdvisor and never have I felt this disappointed.
We had a fantastic walking tour of Aix-en-Provence with our guide, Renaud. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience both fun and informative. Along the way, we tasted delicious local specialties, including truffles, cheese, charcuterie, and chocolate. Renaud also shared fascinating stories about the history of Aix and gave us excellent suggestions for other things to see and do during our stay. It was a wonderful introduction to the city and one of the highlights of our visit. We highly recommend this tour!
We loved our food tour! Renauld was knowledgeable, kind, and seemed to have a personal relationship with the shops we visited. He continued to check in with us to make sure we were happy. The perfect mix of food and history. I’d highly recommend!
Friendly tour guide. Felt as though with all the amazing cuisine/places that we could have enjoyed, the tour left a little more to be desired. But the final step was definitely worth it!
It was such a great way to see Aix-en-Provence. We had the best guide. He gave us so many recommendations for the day and he was so knowledgeable. It was just the 2 of us and we had the best time. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to see Aix and try some good food!
We booked this food tour for our family and it was amazing. Thaïs was a phenomenal guide! We learned so much more than expected on the food tour and Thaïs was so knowledgeable and helpful about everything. Would definitely recommend, it was so much fun!
We were so fortunate to have our guide, Thais, showing us the details and beautiful history of Aix. Besides getting the sample delicious food, we gained a deep understanding I appreciation for this beautiful city and its role in French history. Would highly recommend for anybody looking for a combination of delicious food sampling, and local history of Provence! .
Renauld was amazing!! He left a strong impression and we can’t recommend him enough. He is personable, hospitable and caring; patient and informative. He extended our 3 hour tour because we wanted to try a few more morsels. And seemingly he knows everyone and has an endless knowledge of the city.
Here's a balanced review that acknowledges the positives while making your concern clear. We enjoyed the food tour overall and left with very full stomachs. Every food stop was enjoyable, and our guide, Ingrid, was warm, friendly, and welcoming. However, the tour was advertised as including "tasty stuffs and historical anecdotes about the streets and places," and that was not our experience. While the food was excellent, there was very little information shared about the history of Aix-en-Provence, the streets we walked, the local culture, or the origins and significance of the foods we sampled. We were hoping to learn why these places and foods were important, but the tour focused almost entirely on eating from one stop to the next. If you're looking for a food tasting experience, this tour delivers. If you're expecting the combination of food and historical storytelling described in the advertisement, you may come away disappointed. We hope the company either provides guides with more historical knowledge or adjusts the description so that it better reflects the experience being offered.
Tour was great. It ended up being just myself and my parents and Renaud was very accommodating to our pace. He had great anecdotes and kept the tour interesting. Highly recommend.
We had a few days in Aix-en-Provence and the highlight for me was the walking Food Tour led by Inga. She was so friendly and interesting to talk with as she led us from one eatery to the other. She also answered other questions we had to make our visit more enjoyable. I would recommend this Tour to other travelers! Be sure to sart with an empty stomach!
We had a fantastic experience with Renaud on this tour. We got to see so much of Aix—we feel like experts now!
Having traveled extensively around the world I can honestly say that Thais is the best guide I ever had, her English is excellent, her knowledge is impressive, her enthusiasm contagious and her kindness and patience outstanding. Within minutes the whole group felt as we were exploring with an old friend. Thais made every aspect of the tour fascinating, from food and local traditions to history, art and culture. Her ability to connect with people of all ages and share her passion transformed a wonderful trip into an unforgettable experience . Thank you Thais for waiting for us when our driver was late and especially for creating such special memories. It was truly one of the highlights of my travels
Fabulous tour! Perfect balance of sightseeing and food! Deniz was awesome!
Inga was great, 5 stars. We were late but she waited for us. As a foodie, she was very excited about food and shared with us her enthusiasm. The food itself was good but felt repetitive with the obligatory charcuterie in all food tour. We would have preferred other cheeses or types of meat. Inga was able to provide more cheese for my sister who is vegetarian. What we are learning is that the food tours are from ok to good, but we had better food at a random restaurant. The charcuterie here pale in comparison to the food tour in Halles the Lyon. I would have preferred smaller portions of food and more varieties than a charcuterie and a deconstructed sandwich with more or less the same theme of bread, 3 types of fromage, and jambon, baked. I do appreciate the salad though because Lyon doesn't provide that. More variety of food and in smaller portion would make this tour better. We were so full and couldn't eat the dessert at the end.
This was a fabulous tour. The food was amazing and Inga was absolutely awesome. She had great info and the places we ate were delicious.
Our guide, Deniz, was fun and excellent giving us a good tour of the city as well as leading us to great places to experience tastings from that area. We would never have found the truffle shop on our own as well as the best dessert shop. All unusual and very tasty treats. We even went back the next day for afternoon coffee and dessert. All the food we ate at 3 places were incredible. I would advise anyone to do this tour, just have your walking shoes on!
My mother and I did this food tour in April, and it was the highlight of our time in Aix! Inga, our guide, was absolutely incredible. From the first minute, her warm, energetic personality made everyone feel at ease. Inga gave us great tips on what to look for when buying at the local market, shared tidbits of history, and even recommended a few other restaurants for later. She also paced the tour perfectly. We never felt rushed, and there was plenty of food (come hungry!). If you’re hesitating about a food tour in Aix, book this one – and ask for Inga if you can. She turned a simple tasting into a genuine, delicious, and joyful cultural experience. We’re still dreaming of the croque monsieur! Merci, Inga – we’ll be back!
Excellent tour! Our guide was knowledgeable and professional. The food was outstanding. La Fromagerie du passage was wonderful. Highly recommend this tour
Excellent food tour! Renoud did an excellent job of showing us a variety of different foods. He was informative and professional. I would highly recommend this tour.
This was a wonderful tour. Delicious and informative
Our guide was Suzanne, who was very friendly and knowledgeable. We stopped 4 times and clearly the equivalent of a meal (or two), including two glasses of local wine each. We went in Market Day, which made it even more entertaining. Ask for Suzanne if you can. She was perfect.
Renaud was our guide for just the two of us. He took us for a tour around Aix for the first hour, and told us all about the city and its history. This was long enough to build up an appetite for our meal. The first course was spent outside in the town square and then we moved on to a super restaurant with a roof top terrace. We then chose our dessert at a patisserie. Renaud would leave us to enjoy our meals and then magically reappear when we moved on for the next course. He then sent us tips of places to eat at and see for the rest of our stay. The tour was good value and we would highly recommend it. Thank you, Renaud for a super day.
We took this tour as a first in our time in Aix. We had a wonderful walk through the city with many highlights pointed out along the way as well as brief history as we walked. The truffle shop is not to be missed! In addition to scheduled tastings, other favorite foodie spots were pointed out to us as we walked. We feel well prepared to explore more on our own. Thank you Renault!
This was a fabulous food tour. Inga was amazing taking us to great places to sample the cuisine of Axe. She told great stories and pointed out landmarks. We highly recommend this tour. It absolutely worth it.
Our best meal in Aix this far! Definitely worth the time to get acquainted with the city and its food. Inga provided fun tales and history while leading us through the bustling streets of old town. Come hungry!!
Inga was a wonderful tour guide. She took us to amazing places in Aix. It was delicious progressive dinner as we toured Aix. Great experience.
Wonderful and informative food tour, learnt a lot about history of Aix and great places to eat 😊👍😊 Thais was an entertaining and friendly guide Thank you
This was a great tour! This was our first day in Aix-en-Provence, and a delicious way to get a lay of the land. Our guide, Thaís, was extremely knowledgeable with the history of the area as well as the best food spots- it was like getting two tours at once! The recommendations she gave us were also much appreciated.
We has a fantastic time, tour was just my daughter and I so we got lots of extra attention. Inga our guide, gave us lots of info about city and food was fantastic. Come hungry we were not able to finish everything,
Food tour was great! Inga was an amazing guide and took us to such cool places! A must-do to eat traditional food from the region.
We truly enjoyed our tour with Inga! The food was excellent and walking through the town was interesting and fun. We learned a lot! We stopped at the market and bought a few things. It was nice to have Inga there because she knows some of the vendors and helped point us to some great items. I would recommend this if you are in Aix—it was great!
