Our tour started with dessert which we felt was odd. The guide took us to places on the main drag that we had already experienced. Not at all worth the money!

What an inspiration our tour guide is. Incredibly knowledgeable and turned his passion for his hometown into a profession. Loved the opportunity for a chat over a couple of glasses of beautiful wine and amazing food . Nothing was any trouble and more than happy to answer our questions. Do yourself a favour and hang out with him for a while.
Delicious sweets and food , I was only customer and we went anyway. Very personable guide Eduardo...
Lots of tasty treats. Lots of information about the area. Many suggestions for things to do and discover. Friendly.
Great overview of food options in Aix en Provence. Very engaging guide who really knows the area. We also learned quite a bit of history about this beautiful city.
Ted was the perfect guide and lead us on a quest for the perfect bite or nibble. Mission accomplished! Throughly enjoyed!
The tour was very good! Edouard was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond the regular tour. He was very friendly and pleasant.
Ted was a great tour guide through Aix-en-Provence providing antidotes as we walked and enjoyed the best tastings of the city. Highly recommend this tour.
Edouard was knowledgable, funny, and friendly. The tour was well thought out and everything I tasted was very good. It was also nice to connect with others from different countries. I left the tour happy and full. It was great idea to do this tour on my first night since I could have a plan to stay up later after traveling so much and I also have many good recommendations to revisit during my stay in Aix.
This was a fantastic way to try some of the specialties of Aix! It was an amazing first night tour as it introduced us to a lot of restaurants and gourmet sweet treats! Edward (Ted Aix) was a warm and insightful guide!
Our Tourleader Eduardo done it wonderful. He could do better. All food was to my taste. I could recommend this Tour.
The food tour with Edouard was great fun, very informative and gave a wonderful insight into local food and the best places to buy in Aix. Thoroughly recommended.
Edouard has a good relationship with the local businesses he visits on the food tour. He is very entertaining and also shares his favorite food hotspots with you. I had a wonderful time.
A nice variety of local specialties, but be aware that the tour starts with various sweets before the shops close. No need for dinner after the tour.
We lucked out, and it was only the two of us on this walk with Ted. Great conversation, good food tastes, lots of extra information about the area. We felt like we'd made a new good friend.
Sadly this tour is way over priced. Starts with sweets. A piece of chocolate, a sample of calisson, nuts, nougat, a Madeline and a scoop of ice cream. Then sit down in a restaurant with wine and some apps that were fried, cheese, meat and tasted just ok. Sadly can’t recommend for the price of the tour.
This was a great tour. We visited several small shops specializing in chocolates, pralines, and other delicious goodies. We even tried homemade marshmallows! We ended the tour in a little cafe sampling meats, cheese and local wine. This was our first day in Aix-en-Provence and it was a great introduction to the city.
Very enjoyable experience with a knowledgeable and personable host. Easy walk. Lots of small and tasty treats.
It is a nice event to end a day of sightseeing in Aix en Provence or surrounding area. Ted is a very interesting man. He was super nice not to cancel my booking due to the fact I was the only who signed up. The weather was cold & raining, & others had canceled their bookings.
Tour focused more on sweets (all were delicious) and we were able to circle back the next day for purchases. We would have preferred a greater focus on savory. There are so many excellent foods to experience in Aix.
This was such a fun tour. We got the history of Aix and such good food samples. The macarons were unlike anything we had ever tasted and just incredible. Also loved the Madelines and all the flavors. Truffle honey has changed the way we eat cheese and the selection of cheeses was so varied and yummy. It was such a great way to see Aix and Ted was a very patient and kind guide with all of our questions and we learned so much. Highly recommend!!
He never showed up. Waited at his spot 30 minutes. Getting full refund from Viator. Very disappointed
First of all we (2 couples from California) booked this tour as a private tour that was to begin at 5 pm. We had traveled by train from Paris that day and had not dined in anticipation of the food tour. Earlier in the day we received a message from Edouard that the time was changed to 6 pm and we reluctantly agreed to the new time. Upon meeting Edouard at 6 pm he advised us that he had changed the time because another couple wanted to join the tour but then had cancelled at the last minute! Not a good first impression! Edouard was very friendly and engaging during the tour but constantly moved away from us to smoke which was very annoying. We visited the Puyricard chocolate store where we each had 1 piece of chocolate. We then had a macaron from Caroline’s, a delicious madeleine from Christophe's and pralines from Monsieur Praline Aix en Provence. We then visited Epicerie aux Huiles and tasted regional olive oils. Lastly, Edourd took us to Le Vieux tonneau where the 5 of us shared 2 appetizers, a small charcuterie board, and a bottle of red wine. The tour was advertised as ’The 10 Tastings of Aix en Provence’ for which we paid $105 per person. For that price we each had; 1 piece of chocolate, 1 macaron, 1 madeleine, 4 pralines, and 3 olive oils. I guess that’s 10 tastings, but we expected a lot more for $105 per person. We would not recommend this tour as it was way over priced.
This tour was great! Suburb way to learn a bit about local specialities as well as gaining knowledge of the city and France in general. Products at each stop were well researched and Ted had a good rapport with staff at each shop which created a genial atmosphere. Ted was affable and well informed regarding a range of topics. His experiences living in Paris and Boston were particularly useful in contrasting anything from baguettes to taxation. We would happily join any of his tours in Aix!
The Aix-en-Provence food tour with Ted was such a great experience. He's very knowledgeable about the town, let me practice a little French, and took me to some delicious places. The cheese and meat plate at the end was just perfect. This tour is a great was to get your bearings in aix, have some fun, good company, and good food!!
Édouard was a fantastic guide. He was entertaining and informative, and the food stops that he selected were all very tasty.
Edouard was a wonderful and knowledgeable host (tour guide) for the food tour. In addition to the fun tastings of chocolate, macarons, wine, cheese and meat, he provided some fun history facts and made the tour really interesting. We really enjoyed the tour and the food!
Eduardo was very informative and friendly. We sampled several sweet things and ended with wine, cheese and meats at a lovely wine bar.
We had a very nice time experiencing some of the wonderful treats in Aix . Edouard (Ted) was a great tour guide and lovely person as well. It was a perfect way to end our stay in Aix.
Édouard was spectacular. Honestly, the best food tour I’ve ever been on. He knows all the gems of the city and even gave surprise tidbits on some of the secrets of Aix. My father and I were so impressed. So worth the nominal price- he’s a gem and his niece, Clementine, was a nice addition to the group on this particular day. Édouard is personable, knowledgeable, and just so fun. I recommend this food tour to anyone who wants to know some of the special treats Aix has to offer. Thank you, Édouard, for adding so much to our stay here.
This tour was so-so. He was late to arrive at the meeting point and did not tell us about the history of most of what we we tasted in each place. When we sat down to eat the meat and cheese, he left us to run an errand. What we tasted was good, though.
Great tour!! Ted was very knowledgeable and fun! Learned a lot about Aix and all the food tasting was delicious! Would recommend!
The food was amazing, and Edouard made the tour both informative and engaging. I would recommend to anybody who loves food or who wants to learn more about aix en Provence.
Our guide was knowledgeable, patient and enjoyable! It was a great experience, we highly recommend!!
This foodie tour is a good introduction to the delicious treats you’ll find around Aix-en-Provence. We stopped at a few places where we sampled some sweets, but my favorite was the macarons from Macarons de Caroline. They were so good I ended up buying some. Our guide, Ted, was really nice and thoughtful. He knew that there’d be a long line for the madeleines at Christophe, so he bought some for us ahead of time. On our last stop, we had some wine with Charcuterie and we spent some time chatting. Thanks for your time and effort, Ted.
Great selection of shops where we had tasters. Ted has great relationships with these places, even knowing all the chocolates at the chocolatilier! Thoroughly recommend
Fun way to experience Aix! It was just the two of us with Edouard so very personal! Many good shops to visit…he had found the best!
Edouard made this tour delightful. Along with introducing us to the sweets of Aix, we had wonderful stories and bits of history thrown in. To finish the tour, we had a tasty stop at a wine and cheese bar. Fun evening. Great recommendations from Edouard for all types of great restaurants.
Ted was an interesting guide, and the chocolate and the cheese board were scrumptious. I wish there were a few more savory options available and less candy/sweets.
A fun way to spend 2 hours walking around Aix. Enjoyed delicious samples of French treats and ended the tour with cheese, meats and Rose’. Ted is a great guide!
Edouard gave an interesting tour that focused on sweets then ended with a great charcuterie and glass of wine. But, as a “foodie” I appreciate more detail about each speciality than just a tasting. Otherwise, the tour was well organized and I appreciated him pointing out interesting local facts along the way
Our guide Ted took us to the best places for chocolates, macarons, nougat and pralines! But the most amazing sweet was the fresh madeleines! Melt in your mouth and delicious!!! We finished with wine and cheese at Fromagerie du Passage…which we loved! And then he got us into Le Medusa where the food was delicious and the owner chose the wine for us. Highly recommended.
Amazing vendors! Plan to buy items from all the places that we visited. We also learned about the city along the way.
Absolutely fantastic! Edouard knows exactly where to take you and sample the local specialities. Great guy, super knowledgeable and very welcoming and well organised. Thank you for a wonderful evening in Aix!
Edouard is charming, knowledgeable and an excellent tour guide. He took us around the city, pointing out things that we would never have seen otherwise. The tastings were very authentic and well thought out and he clearly has a good relationship with the owners of the best local establishments in Aix. He gave us excellent restaurant recommendations and could not have been more helpful in letting us know what others things to do in the area and has a great knowledge about all the vineyards etc. Our two hours went really quickly and we got to know Edouard on the tour and he is a genuine lovely guy who has a passion for all things Aix. Highly recommend, thank you for a great tour.
Justine was amazing! Loved learning in her home! Going home with recipe, tarts and lots of great tips!
Fantastic tour with a fun and knowledgeable guide. The tastings were thoughtfully selected (and delicious!) and Ted went out of his way to make sure we had a great time along the way. Highly recommend booking a tour with Ted while you're in Aix. This was certainly a highlight of our trip and an easy five star review.
Our tour was a perfect way to experiment different shops and tastes in Aix. Our guide Edouard was not only knowledgeable, but a great and fun guide. He is well known in the city and passionate about sharing it with others. Highly recommend- thank you! Nancy and David
Great food tour to get introduced to the many local treats. The wine and cheese platter was the perfect ending! Highly recommended!
All 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed this tour, Edouard was a great guide who was able to add some of the city's history to our food tour. Everything we sampled was the best quality available and the vendors were obviously happy to see Edouard but also took pleasure in helping us enjoy their products and sample something that we might not otherwise. We returned to many of them to buy a little something to take home. Édouard was great company as well as knowledgeable about the products and was generous with his time. In addition to the tour he recommended local restaurants and boulangeries. We were able to take advantage of several of these recommendations and I believe his opinions are spot on. I am surprised to see that he doesn't have many reviews but have discovered this is because he is new to this platform and indeed has many, many 5 star reviews on other sites. I recommend taking this tour early in your stay in order to make good use of his wonderful suggestions. We return to Paris with our bags stuffed with treats we have discovered on this tour. Merci beaucoup Edouard.
