10/10!!! My husband and I held our private wedding ceremony here. All that comes to my mind is pure magic and beyond anything I expected. The gardens... the contemporary art...the location. Everything about it was perfect. Dinner at Le Art, our private chef's experience and the custom cake they designed was elegant, delicious, and made us feel so special. They helped coordinate the specific room I requested, and the team put so much effort into coordinating the day. Felt like something out of a dream.

We stayed at Château de la Gaude, a Relais & Châteaux in Aix-en-Provence, and it was a dream from start to finish. The property was fully booked, so we were given a stone cottage tucked in the vineyard — surrounded by white roses, rosemary, lavender, and Mediterranean plantings, with a stone wall around it. The room itself was small but utterly charming, a minute’s walk from the pool and spa, a few minutes from the main house. The grounds are impeccable: sculptures scattered throughout, a maze we stumbled on during a morning walk, koi ponds, mature trees, and uplighting that made the whole place glow at night. They pour their own wine, the service was exceptional, and the air smelled incredible — clean, fresh, like Provence itself. We felt like we were in a dream. Five-star through and through, and we’d return in a heartbeat.
Return visit from US with kids - had an amazing and relaxing stay. Amazing property and so well maintained: expansive vineyards, olive trees, tall pines, cypress trees, plantains lining the alleys, a gorgeous Más, manicured lawns and hedges. The mix of authentic provence flair and tasteful modern design (including the huge modern art installations) is what stood out most.… they even have a natural spring in the la Source brasserie, beautifully showcased. Finest materials used throughout the property. Rooms and amenities also top notch. Haven’t tried the spa but tempted. Le H and L‘Atelier - great culinary experiences in amazing setting. Shout out to our host in the l‘atelier Tuesday night (didn’t catch his name) who was courteous, fast and recommended a delicious no-jito. Pizza made in the wood fired oven at l‘atelier was delicious. la source breakfast is tasty, but on a couple of occasions waited longer than we would have liked to, they were somewhat overwhelmed. We can’t wait to come back though!
A magical place with attentive and eager staff who are clearly passionate about their work. Lovely grounds among the vineyards. Amazing wine cellar and the wine tasting with Christina was excellent. For my birthday, my wife gave us a lovely meal at Le Art and the wine pairings with each of the 8 courses were perfectly chosen and explained by the staff. I am returning with my daughter and her husband in a few weeks. Very accessible from Aix-en-Provence. Thanks to all the team for a lovely weekend.
Chateau de la Gaude was amazing from arrival to leaving. It’s truly a beautiful property, well laid out and they have preserved the old with the more modern. Our room was ideal looking over the olive trees and had great access to the restaurants and pool. We spent time at the pool for 3 days and thank the staff down there they had excellent service. The food was amazing and my friend had a fabulous 50th celebration at both venues arranged by the Chateau for dinner. I would highly recommend the Chateau de la Gaude you will be hard pressed to find something better in the area. The service was excellent and I want to personally thank Elise for everything she did for us and all the small hiccups she smoothed over. Nothing was too much trouble.
