Taj Mahal: A Slow Storytelling Experience

Had a great experience with Arhaan, he uses a personalized approach and not a cookie cutter one. Information is given in a story telling format making it informative as opposed to an information dump. Would 10/10 recommend.

Kaleem was my guide for a 2-day custom tour of Agra beginning with Taj Mahal. Kaleem taught a lot about the Taj, its meaning and construction, and the life and times of Shah Jahan. We had a relaxed tour of the Taj and grounds. A perfect way to fulfill my lifelong dream. We then toured the Agra Fort and I learned about the complex history of its construction and uses. The day also included a wonderful meal at a special restaurant. I really appreciated the walking tour of Agra. I would never have been able to visit the small streets and sample daily life without a guide. The following day’s highlight was Fahtepur Sikri. We had plenty of time to explore the complex and talk the history and meaning of the place. Kaleem is an outstanding teacher and he has a depth of knowledge from the many generations his family has lived i. The area. We had a comfortable give-and-take conversation and he welcomed questions and comments. It was so helpful to have a private driver so se could move around easily.

A fantastic experience that took all the anxiety and worry about organizing a tour like this out of our minds so we could concentrate on enjoying a memorable experience. Everything was carefully planned and precisely executed with plenty of free time to explore your own Taj and ask whatever questions that you wanted. The operators have a passion for the job and give little-known insights into this "Heaven on Earth". Long may they continue to offer joy to visitors like me!!

Had a wonderful experience with the tour agency for our short visit to the Taj Mahal. Everything was well organised and perfectly timed. The guide was knowledgeable, friendly and made the visit interesting without rushing us. Despite having limited time, we were able to enjoy the Taj Mahal comfortably and learn quite a bit about its history. Very professional and efficient service. Highly recommended, especially if you’re looking for a well-planned Taj Mahal tour with limited time in Agra.

This was my first time seeing the Taj Mahal, and it happened to be on a very crowded late afternoon. Despite the rush, Arhaan’s presence made the entire experience truly beautiful and memorable. He remained calm and composed throughout, and his storytelling brought everything to life in a way that felt engaging and meaningful. He felt more like a friend than a guide, and it was clear that he genuinely loves what he does. I would highly recommend him to anyone visiting Agra. The Agra Heritage Walk team does an incredible job of making these monuments come alive through their beautiful storytelling and friendly guides. You could really see the hard work they’ve put into crafting their experiences and how they’ve evolved over time to cater to what works best today.

Would absolutely recommend experiencing Agra through Kaleem and Arhaan’s lens, for a visit like never before! It was a riveting walk for us, interspersed with some fascinating insights into the history and culture of Agra. We had a wonderful time, and even though this wasn’t our first trip to Agra, the team made sure we saw sides of this magnificent city we didn’t even know existed. Also, not only are Kaleem, Arhaan and team great storytellers and unmatched experts at what they do, their hospitality is incomparable, too. We made a delicious pit stop between sites, for Kaleem’s homemade lunch—and it was heavenly to say the least! All in all, an experience that will leave certainly you wanting more.

This morning we had the Agra Heritage Walk to the Taj Mahal at sunrise. It was an unforgettable experience! Besides the beauty of the Taj Mahal, our guide Kaleem made this visit epic! He is a great storyteller and guided us through the entire area. The 3 hours were not too long, on fact the area is very large, so I can only recommend to take the time.

Tahir is one of those precious stand-out guides that you rarely get the pleasure of encountering. He's intelligent, perceptive and tailors the tour to your needs. In fact he was so good we cancelled our guide for the next tour and paid more to have him. Not only were his stories fascinating, but I particularly liked the fact that he advised us not to take photos, he knew all the right shots and took them himself, leaving us free to truly appreciate these phenomenal sites. At one point it almost became like a guided meditation. Being a professional tour guide myself and a perfectionist, this is no small praise, I learned a lot from him and will use what I learned in my tours. Thank you Tahir.

Genuinely one of the best guided tours I’ve ever been on. It was interactive, super interesting and very informative. My experience with AHW was like unwrapping a treasure chest of stories beyond the Taj Mahal. The intimate group size and Tahir from AHW turned the visit into a captivating stroll through time, adding layers of fascination to the marble masterpiece. What stole the show was the detour to local artisans, letting us witness Agra's beating heart through their crafts. From the regal Taj to tucked-away gems, every step felt like a conversation with history. It was more than a tour; it was a connection with Agra's soul. We originally just booked the Taj Mahal tour but we really enjoyed the Taj tour and the experience offered that we opted for three more experiences with the team and each experience was better than the previous. Before visiting Agra, we thought there wasn’t more to Agra other than the Taj. However our time with the Agra Hertiage Walks team proved us wrong. We had a really beautiful experience and dream a traveler could wish for thanks to the Agra Heritage Walks team sharing their culture, art, food, beautiful sights, and history with us. I hope to visit Agra many more times in the future and experience more of what Agra Heritage Walks offers.
