Half Day Sightseeing To Fatehpur Sikri With Licensed Guide

A great experience. A knowledgeable and organised guide who showed us round superbly!

This was a wonderful tour. We chose to go first thing in the morning to avoid the worst of the heat. We were picked up at our hotel at 6:30. The two drivers arrived a little early, and they were such careful drivers. Once we arrived at the parking lot we met up with our tour guide, who brought us on a golf cart the rest of the way. The tour was informative, and there was almost no one else there so it felt very relaxed. Our tour guide helped us avoid the peddlers that were pushing us to buy trinkets, and suggested we avoided the part of the mosque where we would be pressured to give money. We were a group of six, dancing from 12 years old to 74 years old. Everyone enjoyed this tour!

Excellent experience. Starting with our driver Shahid who was very good, very personable, the drive there was very entertaining since it is mostly a road going through small towns. Our guide was Sumit and his guide skills were on par with his photography suggestions. Both of them were very attentive and thoughtful.

Fantastic place, very well maintained and our guide service was very knowledgeable. A must visit if you are in Agra or Jaipur.

It was a complete disappointment. The only good part was our driver, Shahid—punctual; He made our journey comfortable and knew more about Fatehpur Sikri than the guide. Unfortunately, the guide, Shammo. He made up stories, ignored corrections, and rushed the tour. He kept repeating he had 30+ years of experience and claimed to take beautiful photos, yet took terrible ones. He didn’t give us time to go close and see the monuments properly—just pointed from a distance and moved on. He even asked if we wanted to visit Buland Darwaza, though it was included! A complete waste of money!

It was a very nice trip with a very knowledgeable and thorough guide. We felt like pupils in school - all was very interesting and informative. Highly recommended!

Our driver Shahid Khan was very good and drove us from Agra to Fatehpur Sikri well. We felt safe at all times and he gave us information along the way. He even recommended a good restaurant for lunch on the way back. Fatehpur Sikri was enjoyable except for the number of touts that were very insistent. Our guide was disappointing. Although he explained each building, he was in a hurry and kept moving us along, even though we were travelling with an elderly parent. He lacked interpersonal skills and we found it difficult to understand his English. We were also guided to his friends shop as we left. Overall I would recommend the trip but the guide you get is luck of the draw.

Fatehpur Sikri is certainly worth a visit. All communication worked perfectly. Pickup was as agreed on, and the guided tour was informative and well presented in English.

The tour was reasonably priced and we felt we saw all the major parts of Fatipur Sikri. Our tour guide was clear and helpful in answering all our questions and we felt we understood the site well. Our driver was very punctual and polite and the car was clean. The only issue was that our guide took us into a tourist shop (with very expensive magnets) at the end and we felt somewhat pressured to buy something.

Easily arranged, good communication, comfortable and punctual ride, and a great tour of this fascinating place. I keep coming back to Fatehpur Sikri and always learn something new. This visit did nothing to lessen my enthusiasm to come yet again whenever the opportunity arises.

Our tour was fantastic. Our driver picked us up from our hotel. He provided us waters and informed us of how long the drive would take. He was great at navigating heavy traffic. We felt completely safe. We then met our tour guide at the park. He met us right away and had tickets ready to enter. He made sure we were comfortable. The park would be difficult to navigate without a tour guide, so we were very thankful to have him. He was very knowledgeable about the palace history and able to answer all the questios we had. He also took great photos of us the whole time. After we finished we went back to the car for our drive home. Our driver was waiting and had refreshed our water bottles. Overall it was the best experience we have had with Viator tours!!

The guide did a good job introducing the history and stories. However, be aware that there's an additional charge at the mosque for purchasing a small piece of cloth, required for entry, which costs 1000 Rupees. Additionally, the guide takes you to a store at the end of the tour. It was odd that the guide requested a Trip Advisor review in his presence and even provided an incorrect link for the review.

Pick up & drop off from our hotel was flawless, with a very good driver. We were met at fatehpur Sikri by our guide, who was very knowledgeable & helped us understand the purpose, history and design of the sites. Our only criticism would be that the guided section felt somewhat rushed, but overall a great experience, well worth doing

We made the booking on our way from Agra to Fatehpur Sikri and received instant confirmation. It was immediately followed by a call from our guide, also named Amit, who gave us clear directions on where to meet. Amit has great knowledge about the area, and we were lucky to have him show us around. He was extremely courteous and made sure we spent ample time at each site. Fatehpuri Sikri is often overlooked by tourists visiting Agra, but it is a travel destination in itself, with so much history and excellently maintained monuments.

Visiting the Taj with our guide took all the stress and hassle out of the experience. The guide was flexible adjusting to what we wanted to focus on.

It was a very rainy day and having an organized program helped quite a lot. All tickets were fully arranged and the guide arranged was quite knowledgeable and helpful. Do check the weather before you go, it helped to have a rain jacket.

Zahid was flexible, personable and helpful throughout the tour during a crowded period at Fatehpur Sikri. He is commanding in his presence, has fun with kids and is easy to converse with during the tour, and able to answer most questions about the history of the area. We took two hours from start to finish, without feeling rushed. I whole heartedly recommend the tour company and the guide for this tour. Pro tips: #1: wear pants that cover your legs past the knees #2: carry Rs. 100 in 10s. You'll need Rs. 30 for the bus ride from the monument, and Rs. 20 to have someone safely keep your shoes while you tour the mosque area. #3: Politely and firmly refuse any and all hawkers. Else you'll get bogged down. #4: It's a personal choice but refuse/reject any attempt to get you to buy a cloth to put on the Durgah or buy a thread to tie. Also, you shouldn't pay the 'cleaners' at the Durgah. Ignore it all, see what you want to see, and keep moving. The guide will recommend paying folks at the Durgah; don't.

A good guide ,explained in detail. An advise Select your day of visit wisely. We accidently visited on Sunday and it was free entry due to independence week end. Huge rush was there , did not enjoy the visit but nothing wrong at Tour guides part. He still explained everything.

Fatehpur Sikri holds one of the most fantastic aspects of Mughal history, and its probably often relegated to the background compared to what Taj has to offer, I’m sure a lot of people don’t even bother taking the trip out of Agra or package a day trip from Delhi and miss out on a gem of an experience on account of time. 

Our experience was enhanced to a much higher degree by our guide, Avid & tour organiser Laxman Suthar of the India saying Namaste Trips. 

Right from the moment go all communications with Laxman were on WhatsApp, which made life much easier for me, especially with the UK-India time zone differences. His responses were prompt and prices were cheaper than most, and we even got refund adjustments as we were all OCI card holders and TripAdvisor prices are for foreigners only, and we didn’t even ask for it ! 

During our 3 day trip in Agra, we found ourselves with more time on our hands and because their services were so good and easy/flexible we booked 2 additional tours with them while on trip ! 

Our guide for Fatehpur Sikri, Avid, was very efficient, we had a very tight schedule on the day of our visit, and had under 2 hours to finish the entire place, we informed Avid and he was able to set the pace for us quite brilliantly, still taking pictures for us, still telling us all background stories and the little anecdotes/details which made the whole tour very enjoyable. 

We travelled in a large family group and Laxman’s team also organised travel van for a large group, at a price much cheaper than our Hotel travel desk. And they also helped us with marble and ‘Petah’ shopping, one can’t ask for more ! 

We genuinely enjoyed our whole experience right from planning/organising to the actual tour with the guide, look no further if you are looking for a brilliant Fatehpur Sikri experience !

We initially signed up for the tour just for something to do after visiting Taj Mahal- and it ended up being such an awesome experience! Especially taking part in the wishes experience (you will know what that means when you go!) We were told originally we didn’t need a guide, I believe I would not have had such a great time without one! Bablu (I apologize for spelling!) was great 👍

Avid Guide helped us explore this wonderful place. Just make sure not to visit when it's too sunny as it is too hot.
