This is a relatively long and detailed review of the hotel. 1. Approach Road - The approach road to the hotel is good. If you are going from Delhi, it will take somewhere between 15-20 minutes after getting off the expressway to reach the hotel. 2. Location - The hotel is located very close to the Taj Mahal. The east gate of the Taj Mahal is approximately 900 meters to 1 km from the hotel. 3. Conveyance to Taj Mahal from the Hotel - You can easily get e-rickshaws or autos outside the hotel at any time of the day (Even at 5:30 AM, if you plan on visiting the Taj Mahal early morning). The cabs/autos booked through mobile apps are available early morning. In addition, there are government operated carts which run on the road right outside the hotel. To take these carts, you will have to walk around 200 meters from the hotel towards the east gate where you will spot these carts (Cart operators charge Rs. 25/- per seat). 4. Rooms - I had booked a Deluxe Room at the hotel. The experience with the room was rather disappointing. The washroom had hair particles in the bath tub and the seat. However, the staff was kind enough to upgrade the room to Taj Club King Room. If you are planning to book a Superior Room or a Deluxe Room at the hotel for the Taj Experience, then you should rather avoid in my opinion. These rooms will not give you the luxury feel. In the given price point, you can find other hotels with better rooms. 5. Service - The service is rather slow at the hotel. I had to make atleast 4 calls at the reception and the room service to get someone to clean the washroom. However, another request which was made by me for an extra blanket, was taken care of in 1 call but the service was slow. It took approximately 20-25 minutes to send the blanket to the room. 6. Staff - The staff is extremely well mannered and courteous. They will help you through all your genuine needs during your stay at the hotel. 7. Food - I just had breakfast at the hotel. The variety is good. With respect to the taste it's a mixed review. Some items were great and some were below average. You also have the famous Bedami Kachori with Aaloo curry for breakfast which is good. All in all, it was good experience at the hotel.

Taj is known for its hospitality and Taj Agra truly carries that legacy forward. Right from the smooth check-in and the warm welcome by Rohan, the experience was wonderful. The stay itself was comfortable and the food was a highlight. Chef Ashish and Aman are doing an excellent job, not only serving delicious dishes but also bringing creativity and innovation to the menu. Housekeeping deserves equal praise. Mayank and his team keep everything spotless and well managed, which adds so much to the overall comfort. Overall, my time at Taj Agra was memorable and a perfect reflection of the brand’s commitment to excellence.
An absolutely outstanding hotel and without doubt one of the finest we have ever stayed in. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Every member of staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Nothing was too much trouble, and we always felt incredibly well looked after. The food was also exceptional—easily some of the best we enjoyed during our Golden Triangle tour. Every meal was delicious, with a fantastic choice and impeccable quality. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Taj Agra for making our stay so special. You created memories that my family and I will cherish for years to come. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Agra and can’t wait to return.
I recently stayed at Taj Agra, and while the overall experience was pleasant, there are a few areas that need improvement. The ambience, hospitality, and overall property were excellent and lived up to the Taj brand. The rooms and service were also very good, making the stay comfortable. However, the dinner and breakfast buffets at Palato were disappointing. The variety was decent, but the quality and taste of the food did not meet the standards I expected from a five-star hotel. In my opinion, several other five-star hotels in Agra offer buffet food with much better taste and overall quality. Interestingly, when we ordered from the à la carte menu at the same Palato restaurant, the food was delicious and much better than the buffet. This suggests the kitchen is capable of producing excellent food, but the buffet offerings need significant improvement in terms of flavor and consistency. Overall, I had a good stay because of the ambience and service, but I hope the hotel focuses on enhancing the quality and taste of its buffet to match the high standards associated with the Taj brand.
My visit to the Taj in Agra was truly a wonderful experience. The property offers a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and warm hospitality. The rooms are spacious, beautifully maintained, and provide a relaxing atmosphere. The staff members are courteous, professional, and always ready to assist with a smile, making guests feel welcomed and valued. The food is exceptional, with a wide variety of delicious dishes that cater to different tastes. The cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel are impressive, reflecting the high standards associated with the Taj brand. The ambience is elegant and peaceful, making it an ideal place for both leisure and business travelers. One of the highlights is the breathtaking view and the overall attention to detail in every aspect of the guest experience. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend the Taj in Agra to anyone seeking comfort, luxury, and memorable hospitality.
