Quite a long queue for the car park for St Mary's Church/house as they take the ticket money at the car park gate but we'll worth the wait for the atmosphere and history. Ephesus was amazing but wear walking shoes or trainers as the marble is slippery and can be rough in places. Take plenty of water and use the washrooms at St Mary's before you go as there are none at Ephesus until you get to the end. A personal guide is well worth having. Very knowledgeable and will tailor your trip to what you want to see. Our guide Huseyin met us from the cruise ship and made everything go smoothly. He was very knowledgeable about his homeland and its history. Car was really comfortable and clean. Mr Araf was an excellent driver, patient but decisive.

Hugo was an amazing guide, he made us feel really comfortable and was extremely friendly, he is also an amazing photographer, we recommend him so much!! He never pressured us and was SUPER kind!

We were picked up from an unusual location and driven to Ephesus with our guide Hüseyin who was very helpful and informative the whole day. Very knowledgeable about the ancient site and other places we visited. He whisked us through busy areas to avoid the crowds and made the trip very special.

“Gufte” (I belive it’s how you spell it) was the best! It was great at english and helped us a lot with everything we needed. From the history, to all the questions we had about any place around Turkey. Thank you! It wouldn’t be the same.

Huseyin was extremely knowledgeable and got us to our destinations when crowds were at their lowest. He shared a lot of the rich history of not only Euphesus but of Turkey, Roman, and Greek culture. I highly recommend! We have private transportation.

I had an excellent travel experience with our lovely tour guide Gufte. She is incredibly knowledgable, patient, and informative. She went above and beyond to provide us with an in depth experience about Ephesus and Turkish culture. She answered all questions thoroughly, and offered to take wonderful photos. Even though our group was smaller then intended, she still took her time and offered to take us to any places that peaked our interest and curiosity. Highly recommend taking a tour with her and her company.

We had an amazing Tour of Ephesus with our tour guide Gufte. She was very informative and went over and above to share her knowledge with us. She even took us to a Carpet Weaving School and Turkish Delight Factory even though this was not part of the original tour!

What an unbelievable experience! The tour was perfect. It was private so just our group. The van was brand new and clean. Pick up spot was easy to find. Gufte was incredible. Very knowledgeable, and accommodating. We got to go to House of Mary, Ancient city, a yummy restaurant, temple of Artemis, and even a fashion show!! Totally recommend!

Everything about this trip was outstanding and the day was enhanced by Dory our guide. She met us off the ship with a sign with our names. From that point until the drop off point, her knowledge was exceptional and she made each part of the trip so very interesting. She coordinated each stop and always checked in with us to see how we were doing. Overall, we finished the tour totally happy, having learned so much and that was primarily due to Dory who also answered any questions we had. Can’t recommend a tour guide highly enough and if you get someone like Dory then you are in for a brilliant day!

Our guide today was Huseyin and he was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. We were really keen to visit Ephesus whilst here but it's been roasting so I was a little nervous about it especially as we have our teens with us. It was recommended to head out early (8am) we were collected bang on time. We first visited the House of Virgin Mary (arriving before all the coaches so no queues), then on to Ephesus city, and we chose to pay the extra to also view the beautiful terraced houses which are currently still being excavated. The site is incredible. It's been one of the hottest days of our stay today and Huseyin helpfully knew where to find the patches of shade and the best places to take family photos for us which was lovely because often one of us is behind the camera so we don't get many. He escorted us around the whole site ensuring we noticed everything that we needed to see and understood the history and cultural context of the Greco Roman city.

Thank you for a wonderful morning, guiding us through The Shrine and House of Virgin Mary, on to Ephesus city and all those steps through the terraced houses which were simply phenomenal. Highly recommend booking with Huseyin for a knowledgeable and chilled experience. The stop in the Ephesus visitor centre really completes the whole picture of what you just saw too. We opted out of visiting the crafts as a separate part of the excursion due to hot, tired children but did visit the temple of Artemis on the way back. If you are considering booking this tour, do it. The tickets are easily organised on the day with no hassle and you'll get a lot out of it. Thank you again!

Could not have had a better guide! Derya was just fabulous. She made appropriate changes when necessary to our itinerary based on the heat and our physical abilities. Pace was perfect. This was a wonderful experience! Derya was a perfect host and guide. She gave us lots of historical background and she went at our pace and allowed me to rest when needed. Ephesus was everything i was hoping for and more. Even my husband who generally has no use for historical information really loved it! Then she took us to a rug weaving place that trains young Turks in the cultural arts so as to not lose those important skills. While there we had a lovely, lovely light meal in a beautiful quiet spot featuring local foods that were so delicious! You will not go wrong having "Dory" show you the wonders of ancient Ephesus!

We had a great time on our guided tour through Ephesus. Gufte was a great tour guide and timed all of our activities perfectly so we had no wait time. She was also very educated on the history of the city and took us to the best local restaurant. She truly made us feel at home. Ogun, our driver, was also very safe. He drove us to all of our stops which further helped us make effect use of our time there. The company they work for is called Puerto & they communicated with us the day before as well as the day of to ensure we found the right place to meet. Overall, very easy process, learned tons of history about Ephesus, and would recommend to a future traveler!

Great pottery learning experience and tour of Ephesus City! Very frustrating that things that were not included on tour were mandated and then there was a very uncomfortable hard sell to buy a Turkish rug. This is the first time this has happened on a Viator tour, very disappointing!!!!!!

We loved this day! Highly recommend. Gufte was knowledgeable, friendly and flexible. My 11 year old son said “It was long but worth it”. He especially enjoyed the terrace houses and the stop at the pottery place. We had never seen a kick wheel for pottery before. My son thought the kick wheel was cool, as well as the glow in the dark pottery (moonstone).

Gifts was an awesome guide. She was gracious to offer her tour when it was only my husband and myself. She is very knowledgeable with the history. Of the area.
