Skip-the-line Ephesus And Mary's House Tour For Cruisers

Nilay was kind, fun and informative and our driver was friendly and competent. One thing I would have changed was staying firm on what we wanted and did not want on our tour. We did Ephesus and the House of Mary the two must-do things on our list and those were incredible, but the high-pressure rug sales pitches after the weaving demonstration, and a leather fashion show were a waste of precious time in a beautiful country none of us have ever visited. Also, the group was asked to fill out tour feedback while we were on our lunch break and about half done with the tour. Make sure you are clear about what you want and do not be swayed by suggestions.

Canan was very knowledgeable, pointing out things we may have missed. She was kind, sensitive to our ability needs, maintaining a pleasant pace throughout. She has a lovely personality. We had no interest or idea that we would be attending a carpet demonstration so we felt that we were bamboozled into going.

There are hidden costs. Never told we would be having lunch and then told to pay for it. Who does that?

Truly amazing private tour of the historical city of Ephesus. Our tour guide, Val, was very knowledgeable and so energetic. She brought the history of Ephesus to life. The fact that she got us in and out of the ancient city, before the massive crowds arrived, was a real bonus.

This was a lovely half day private tour. We were met at the port by our tour guide Deniz who was excellent. His knowledge was second to none. We saw and heard about things that wouldn’t be covered with larger groups.

One of the best parts of this tour was that it was completely private. I loved the personalized experience, and having our own private vehicle to travel between each destination made the day so comfortable, relaxing, and enjoyable. We had an incredible tour in Kusadasi, and it was one of the highlights of our trip! Bahar was an outstanding guide. She was knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about sharing the history of each site we visited. We toured Ephesus, the House of the Virgin Mary, the Temple of Artemis, and a silk rug factory. Ephesus was absolutely fascinating, and Bahar brought the ancient city to life with her detailed explanations and interesting stories. It was amazing to learn so much while walking through such well-preserved ruins. The silk rug factory was an unexpected favorite. We watched a live demonstration of how the rugs are made, learned about the silk-making process, and even got to participate in a hands-on demonstration. It was a unique and memorable experience. This tour was phenomenal from start to finish. Bahar made every stop informative and enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kusadasi and it is definitely a 10/10 experience!

We had an outstanding guide named Deniz (Dennis). He picked us up on time and was extremely knowledgeable about Ephesus, House of Mary and The Temple of Artemis. We had a great lunch of local fare. We made back to the ship with plenty of time to spare.

We had a wonderful and educational time with our tour guide, Fatima. She customized our whole itinerary around what we wanted to do from sightseeing to meals and Turkish coffee and tea. Easy and organized. Fatima, our guide, was great! Lots of knowledge, super kind and friendly, and catered the tour to what we wanted. She is a local who is educated and had visited our own country too! The archeological sites were beautiful and unforgettable. We appreciated the stop at a local Turkish woman cooperative and learned about the detailed carpet and tapestries created by hand.

This was an excellent tour. Josh was fantastic. We truly enjoyed our tour. Josh spent time sharing information and taking us to amazing spots. Luke was exceptional. Although the price of certain things were not included in the price we knew that going in and Josh was very transparent. I would absolutely recommend this tour.

Decided to book a private tour of Ephesus as opposed to the tour that our cruise ship offered. That was the best decision I ever made. What a nice change to not have to be on a huge bus with lots of people trying to navigate through the sites. We were greeted by a representative as soon as we exited the cruise terminal and taken directly to our personal guide who met us with a driver and a luxury vehicle. Neco, our guide, was so knowledgeable and explained so much to us. He also knew how to navigate around the crowds. He was a pleasure to spend the day with!

Best tour we have had. The guide met us and had a sign so we knew it was our tour. Very small group in an excellent vehicle. Walking around he even was able to assist my wife walking thru the site. We made multiple stops and he was always attentive and professional. What a great experience we would ask for him again

The excursion provided enough of an overview to want to return to Turkey and explore more. We had a tour with Fatima and it was wonderful! She picked us up at the port from our Celestyal Journey ship with a sign for our name and we drove around to each location on the itinerary as well as some special locations for local snacks and shopping along the way. We were ahead of the crowds and received a ton of information on the sites we saw. I learned a lot about the local culture here and loved learning about Turkey!

Ephesus was amazing. We’ve never seen such intact ruins. You don’t need a ton of imagination to understand what it might have been like. Our guide was informative and nice. We didn’t appreciate the multiple attempts to get us to go to the carpet making presentation, after being pretty direct that we had no interest.
