We booked our private tour the day before with a 9am pickup. Jaleh (our tour guide) arrived on time and was amazing throughout the day. Very informative, polite and considerate. Would highly recommended if you are looking for an experience without the hustle and bustle of big tour groups.

The Library of Celsus, located in the ancient city of Ephesus, is one of the most iconic Roman structures in Turkey. Built in the 2nd century AD, it once housed thousands of scrolls and served as both a library and a monumental tomb for the Roman governor Celsus. Today, its beautifully restored façade stands as a symbol of Ephesus and offers visitors a glimpse into the architectural and cultural achievements of the Roman era.

After enjoying the Turkish cuisine at lunch, you will visit the House of Virgin Mary, where she spent last days of her life. Visit the Archaeological Museum of Ephesus before returning to Kusadasi where you tour concludes.
The Basilica of St. John, located in Selçuk near Ephesus, is a historic site believed to be built over the burial place of St. John the Evangelist. Constructed in the 6th century during the reign of Emperor Justinian, the basilica was once one of the largest churches of its time. Today, visitors can explore its impressive ruins, marble columns, and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area while learning about its importance in early Christian history.

We (myself and my elderly mother) took our private tour because it was half the price of the organised tour from our cruise ship (in February 2019). Our guide was waiting for us at the port and our air conditioned people carrier was waiting nearby. As we drove to each site, our guide would tell us about Turkey and other points of interest as we passed them. Once at Ephesus we were able to take our time, looking at the archaeology at taking photos without being rushed. We felt un-hurried and relaxed - nothing like the usual organised tours from the cruise ship. We saw everything on the itinerary and even stopped at a ceramics workshop and the obligatory Turkish Rug outlet, but this was fine because I picked up a lovely silk rug as a reminder of my stay. The lunch was filling, even though I am vegetarian, there was still more than enough to satisfy our appetite after a full day's tour. We were delivered safely back to the port and it was one of the best tours we had. Mainly due to the efficiency of booking, the helpful guide and the safe driving of of driver. I would not hesitate to use Ounce Travel again and would recommend them highly.
We got to meet an excellent private tour guide for our visit! she's very lovely, and very knowledgeable in history. 1 day tour will be a little tired because the distance between Izmire (where i suggest u to stay) to Ephesue and nearby ancient cities.
<p>The tour was exceptional. Our guide was fun, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I would highly recommend the same tour to my friends and family.</p>
<p>Most of the tour will be more interesting to anyone highly religious as it includes several "holy places." The ruins of the town are fascinating and the two-story library alone makes it a worthwhile tour. We're just not religious enough to appreciate the house that was deemed to be occupied by the Virgin Mary. Never knew Ephesus was even on the map before this tour. Our guide, "Top," was very knowledgeable and personable.</p>
<p>Excellent tour. We really enjoyed Ilene and the driver "Cowboy"</p>
<p>This was a fantastic tour and our tour guide, Zeydep, was absolutely the best! We would have loved to have taken her with us all over Turkey. Ephesus was the highlight of our trip and anyone traveling to Turkey should not miss this experience.</p>
<p>It was a great day at Ephesus and surrounds. I had only used Viator for transportation purposes in the past (with good results) and tried my first excursion with them. I'm glad I did. Levent, our guide, was stellar and extremely personable...not to mention extremely knowledgeable and engaging. He was on time at the ship/port and getting going was a breeze. I and my companions totally thought the excursion was well worth it! The only thing I didn't react well to was the carpet business visit...but that comes with the territory in Turkey. I just should have spoken up in the beginning that we were not interested. Otherwise it was a great day and learned lots.</p>
<p>Ilker was a very fun and knowledgeable guide. Ephesus completely exceeded our family's expectations, it's much more beautiful that we expected.</p>
<p>We booked the private tour and was told it would be approximately 8 hours. After 4 hours, the tour was over. We had to pay extra money for our guide to take us another place for a few more hours. She was a good tour guide, but Viator disappointed us in to believing we had a guide for appriximately 8 hours.</p>
<p>Our trip in Kusadasi was wonderful! Our driver was very nice and our guide extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She made our experience in Ephesus an amazing one- one we will certainly never forget! Lunch was delicious and the service at the restaurant incredibly friendly. Would recommend this trip to anyone! Our day in Kusadasi was a great one thanks to Delik!</p>
<p>Absolutely wonderful. A beautiful plca and a GREAT guide. I would highly reccommend this tour!</p>
Our tour in Kusadasi was excellent! Our personal tour guide, and driver, met us at the port where the cruise ship had docked 15 minutes early. The driver was quite good -- and safe! The guide was exceptionally knowledgable and helpful. He knew all of the shortcuts, got us through all of the lines ahead of nearly all other people from three cruise ships. The guide actually helped "customize" our tour for our schedule. Our companions aboard the ship were jealous of the personal service that we received on our tour. Oh, what clean, beautiful and interesting cities are Kusadasi and Ephisus. What a tour! Bravo! A lifetime memory!
We actually booked three tours with Viator and the Ephesus Day trip was the best of the three by leaps and bounds.. the other tours were not energetic and the food was terrible. Pompeii and Capri. BUT our tour with Selin Usun was great.. She was young, energetic, engaging and fun. She brought us to a restaurant that had ok but she definitely was a pleasure to have as a guide because of her knowledge, energy and command of English. If you take this tour make sure you request Selin.
Excellent tour. Guide was great and very well informed. Also went to rug factory, pottery factory and leather good manufacturer. Would tour with Viator again without question.
Wonderful informative tour to Ephesus. We were visiting the area by ship. I noticed this tour was only 50 more per person for a private tour over the large group tour offered by the ship. Our guide was a brilliant young man who not only knew the area but took excellent care of us.
