We had an amazing day. Our driver was safe and the van was very comfortable for the 7 of us. Our guide Ulas was fantastic. His knowledge of ancient Ephesus and Kusadasi was incredible. A really lovely guy who was pleasant to spend the day with. After a wonderful tour of the ruins of Ephesus, We had a delightful lunch and then had a look at rug weaving and visited a pottery which was really lovely. Then we we’re taken to a gorgeous village Sirinci famous for its fruit wines that we sampled. This was definitely worth seeing. Don’t hesitate to book this tour. We were so well cared for and learnt so much. It really was a highlight of our holiday.
Our guide Zeynep was every knowledgeable, professional and easy to understand. She was always aware our our needs and did everything possible to accommodate.
I booked a guided tour to Ephesus, Virgin Mary, Artemis and Sirince via the Internet from Germany. Everything was perfectly organized, we couldn't be more satisfied. We had a private driver, the amazing Isik was our lovely and very professional guide and everything went smoothly. We were picked up at our house and were taken back at the end. It couldn't have been more comfortable. The price for this was more than fair. The locations are definitely all must-sees. Ephesus Port Tours is highly recommendable. Thank you very much for this wonderful experience.
the walk trough the ruins of ephesus especially the library and the atmosphere in sirince, the greek village.
My husband and I visited Samos back in August, and while we were there, we wanted to take a day trip to Turkey for a tour of Ephesus and to see some surrounding sites. We had never been before and contacted Ephesus Port Tours a couple of days before we had planned to visit. We received a response quickly and Hakan Bozdag (who came highly recommended) was available for the day we requested. Our time with him was great; he's very knowledgable and a kind host. I do not remember his name, but the driver who drove us around was great as well. Though our time in Turkey was short, we enjoyed it very much. Hope to visit again someday.
It was our first time in Ephesus and were very worried about what to do, but thankfully our wonderful guide Oguz brought us to the best of Ephesus and explained everything to us in perfect Spanish. It was a delight to get to know about this place and also to experience more of the crafts that the people in this place do, especially to see how the carpets are done. Definitely, recommend taking this tour if you visit Turkey and Ephesus. It's a must see place.
This was an excellent tour. 4 of us were met when we exited the cruise ship port. We were taken quickly to our van and given a wonderful tour by Banu!! She was well informed and gave us options as to what we wanted to do. Cannot recommend her or this company highly enough. We also were offered a true Turkish dinner at a co-op that was delicious. And were given the opportunity to see how Turkish rugs were made. An overall great experience!
Hakan was very knowledgeable and personable. We heard many detailed descriptions of life in Ephesus and he accommodated our every need. We got to go and visit all that we wanted. His English is excellent and the spacious air conditioned van was appreciated. I highly recommend Hakan. Sincerely Ruth Larson
We had a private tour from the Cruise port to Ephesus and the museum. Dilek was an excellent guide. She set up the tour with the items we wanted to see. She also stopped along the way in a small bakery so that we could taste the local flavors. She was very informative and gave just enough information to keep us interested. I highly recommend this tour.
From the first moment we were greeted by our guide ZEYNEP , we were captivated by her charm & wit. We boarded a spacious, clean, & comfortable motor coach -- expertly driven by ALI. As our tour got underway, we soon realized that Zeynep's high level of enthusiasm was matched by her deep knowledge of (and love for) her country. Zeynep's presentation of Turkey's history & culture of Turkey was equal parts enlightening, educational, and entertaining. Her sparkling personality kept us completely engaged throughout -- and we came away with a true appreciation for the country she introduced us to. Do not miss the Terrace Houses! Zeyneb & Ali are fantastic -- and their tour was the very best ever!
My husband & I enjoyed our tour immensely. Our air conditioned van driver was excellent, making us feel very safe on the roads. Our tour guide Isik was a 'fountain of knowledge' who patiently showed us around and explained the vast historical sites of Ephesus and surrounds in perfect English. They collected us from Kusadasi port where our ship was berthed on time, and without any fuss. I would highly recommend this tour if you're only in Kusadasi for a day, and wish to maximise your time visiting the historical sites.
We were staying in Izmir and decided to go for a private tour from Izmir to Efes. Our guide Mehmet was great, so was the driver. We were in a brand new Mercedes A class and the tour was tailored to us. It was like having a friend showing us around. No queue just the best of what was to be seen and always helpful with pictures
We cruised the Aegean for 1 week and this tour was the highlight. They picked the 6 of us up in a comfortable van. Hakan was fun and informative. The ruins at Ephesus were incredible. Hakan navigated us past some of the larger tour groups and quickly to the more interesting sights. This is the kind of trip we will probably only take once, and this was well worth the extra money.
We reserved while in Montreal our private tour to visit the place. We wanted a French guide. We were a group of 10. Not easy but we were able to manage. The tours was fantastic, don't remember what tour company but we used trip advisor to help in our choice. Now the tour. Wow, the tours is for at least 6-8 hours long, we paid around $60 euros per person, this was well worth it. We had a own private bus, very clean. The tour picked us up after customs in Kusadasi and brought us to amazing places, where people believe the Virgin Mary is buried, then to different holy places, people think that Noah ark landed in Turkey. Then we went to Ephesus, just incredible that so many buildings are still standing and the quality of the work still very visible. This was one of the best tours. The only little issue is like any tour, the guide and driver stopped at 2 factories, 1 leather and 1 carpet. It was every interesting but commissions are what they were looking for, like I said nice but no thanks. If you are in the region from a cruise ship, do the tour, you will nite regret this wonderful place.
We realy had a great time with this tour. First of all we had the best attention from Hakan because we arranged the tour for the same morning I phoned Ephesus Tours and he was very prompt and sensitve to organise the private tour; get an excellent guide, get the Van as well as the dirver in just a matter of minutes. Our guide, Leyla, was great and very knowledgable of the history of the región. She realy made us spend a wonderful time with the family. We got to visit the house of Virgin Mary with an excellent explanation from Leyla . Then we got to visit Ephesus… Impressive… Leyla also explianed to us not only the history of the site but also made us imagine how it actually felt to have lived there in the ancient times. We visited the Terrace Houses which is very recomendable because many people skip that part of Ephesus but it is worth it. After Ephesus we went to visit the Artemis Monument and then have a delightful lunch just outside of Selcuk in a nice garden. I can tell that lunch was a wonderful experience because it was prepared by some girls from the región and it was delicious, actually for me it was the best food I tasted during my stay in Turkey. Later on Layla took us to learn the tradition of how carpets are made, awsome. At the end of the tour we did a quick town tour of Kusadassi before we were back at the Hotel. I realy recomend Ephesus tours for this excellent experience.
The four of us had a wonderful tour of Ephesus! We all felt that we had a great understanding of what life was like in these ancient ruins - from the history of the era to the living conditions to the arts that decorated Ephesus. Afterwards, we went to a fabulous rug factory, where we were shown how the rugs are hand woven. And yes, we did purchase magnificent Turkish rugs. I think we got a better value and selection by buying directly from the showroom rather than just going to a retailer by the port. Overall, it was a very satisfying experience and I would absolutely recommend hiring this company.
I highly recommend Ephesus Port Tours. Hakan was our tour guide for our group of eight family members. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He took us first to House of Mary where we were able to see it without crowds of people. Then on to the ruins of Ephesus. Hakan explained how they would have looked in ancient times. He also provided umbrellas to shield us from the hot sun.
After making the reservation I contacted via whatsapp, immediately answered my questions. On the day they were with a sign and our name waiting with the name. We did the tour in Spanish, but gave to understand perfectly. Acer the guide very friendly!!
