Our guide was fantastic ! She picked our group of 5 up right at the cruise port in a luxury van. She showed us all the sights of Ephesus and was very informative and knowledgeable about the area. We also enjoyed a delicious Turkish lunch and learned about rug making. I highly recommend this tour when in Ephesus!

Our guide Elif met us as we exited our cruise ship; loaded all six of us in a large and comfortable van for a short drive to the House of Holy Virgin Mary - such a spiritual, peaceful place to visit. So happy this was part of our tour. Then back in the bus to Ephesus - just WOW! The ruins still standing are breath taking. Elif was a wealth of information and we loved having her for our guide.
One of the best tour and tour guide ever! My husband and I were treated with care and respect by your very knowledgeable tour guide We will highly recommend you
Informative tour of Kusadasi, not exactly deep in biblical reference (would have preferred a Christian guide) but enjoyable noetheless. Our guide, Elif, was kind, knowledgeable and patient. Lunch was delicious BUT it's at a carpet cooperative so you will have to endure the pressure selling whether you like it or not. We made it clear that we were in Turkey for the fourth time and had no interest whatsoever in a carpet, and preferred to return to the port for shopping on our limited schedule, but had no choice, despite my exact word: NO, to sit through the entire 1/2 hour performance nonetheless.
Great historic tour exploring the ruins of Ephesus. Our guide was very knowledgeable, spoke excellent English and a pleasure to interact with. She let us set the pace taking time to answer questions and share the history. If you can book Begum Hemminway as guide, you will not be disappointed.
Was a phenomenal tour - the depth of history is hard to imagine. Our guide, Elif, was very knowledgeable and even the mandatory tour of the rug weaving was interesting. I appreciated that our guide was attune to some of our group’s mobility challenges.
Tolga was well informed in all the sites - he was extremely enthusiastic and detailed in his presentation. His English was very easy to understand. He made sure he tailored our trip to include all the sites we wanted to see and the sites that were a must see while in Ephesus. Highly recommend Tolga!
We had an amazing private tour experience with our tour guide, Gigi, with pickup and drop off directly from the Kusadasi cruise port. She was super knowledgeable, accommodating, and we had a ton of fun along the way. Mary's House, Ancient Ephesus, and John's Burial Site were fascinating to be able to experience and learn about. Learning about how Turkish Rugs are made and ending our tour with a delicious local lunch was excellent. As a tip for others, ensure to be friendly but yet clear if you do not intend to purchase a Turkish Rug to be respectful of both yours and their time. I would definitely highly recommend this tour to anyone, and it was an awesome way to be able to experience a lot in a limited amount of time!
Excellent tour - tour guide was very knowledge, driver also very helpful
Great day with our guide Arda. Very knowledgeable on ehesus and at st Johns on life of Paul and John in Ephesus. He was very polite friendly and made the day easy. Lunch was delicious. And the visits to pottery and rug show rooms a highlight too.
Arda was a wonderful host. We had the best day with him . He taught us so much and he was very helpful. Lunch was lovely.
Tolga was a very fun and knowledgeable guide! Highly recommend
I feel so fortunate to have found this private tour of Ephesus. Our tour guide, Elif, was such a gift -— her knowledge and kindness created a once-in-lifetime experience for my husband and I and another couple we were traveling with. We arrived in port, easily found my name on a card and was escorted to meet Elif and our driver. Our ride was a lovely limo Mercedes minivan and we didn’t have to worry about anything. Our main sites: the House of the Virgin Mary, the town of Ephesus, a private lunch and the Church of St. John. The tour was seamless. Elif knew so much about Ephesus and told us stories to make it come alive. Our lunch was one of those experiences I will remember forever. She took us to an out of the way farm, Pasha, where it felt like we had a home cooked meal at someone’s house. It was absolutely delicious and so fun to get to hear more of her stories. It was one of my favorite days and so awe-inspiring to get to walk the roads where Paul walked. Highly recommend this tour by Travelshow (a family-run tour business) and if you get Elif as your guide, give her a big hug for us!
Our entire experience was incredible. We walked right off the ship and met with Gigi very quickly and got into our comfortable van with Abdullah. Gigi was knowledgeable and friendly, she took us to some great places, got us past the lines and made sure we saw all of the important parts. Lunch was also wonderful, and the carpet show was informative but we did not feel pressured.
Exceptional tour guide, very knowledgeable and friendly.
Absolutely amazing tour! GG was incredible and so knowledgable about all of the sites we went to. My husband and I learned so much biblical history and would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area!
Ilgin was an Exceptional Tour Guide of Ephesus With Biblical Tour. She explained everything in detail. She was very helpful and patient with all of us especially with me, I am a 75 yr old woman who has not walked much, so I would frequently be far behind. I would highly recommend Ilgin to be your Tour Guide!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Best tour we took on our trip. Ilgin was patient, and attentive. My mother in law crashed our trip and was completely overwhelmed with the heat and the walking, but Ilgin was patient and was sure to make sure we paused if we got too far ahead we had time to wander ourselves, park the grandma and see little things ourselves. We were a small group so we a were able to duck and dodge between the huge tour buses and because we did the early tour, we were leaving as the big busses were arriving. She was also very knowledgeable... My husband would ask all kinds of questions and how it related and she was able to answer very eloquently. Great trip, lots of history for those who like to touch old rocks, and an absolutely lovely lunch at a local restaurant. Book it already.
We had the best guide and the best time, very knowledgeable. And we just love the sights
Amazing excursion. The history and views are fantastic. We Highly recommend. Our private guide was perfect.
I expected more biblical background with this tour. We had a nice lunch at a rug co-operative, but the pressure to buy is not appreciated on vacation. We are not convinced that rugs are done by hand anymore, although they were lovely.
There is lots of rough, uneven ground. The marble (and other rocks) are slippery, even when dry. Gigi was an incredible tour guide- very, very knowledgeable, personable, & flexible to your needs - I don't think I have ever had a better tour guide! I would highly recommend asking for her. The lunch on the farm, with all fresh food, was included & was delicious!
My guide Arda was really good. He was a wealth of knowledge and freely shared! The vehicle was great, the pace was great, the driver was great, and the guide Arda was great!!! 10!
Mrs. Elif Serbester communicated our pick-up to be right outside the port walkway and she was there to greet us with a big smile! My husband and I were treated magnificently and were instructed all about Mother Mary’s last hime, St.John’s burial place and Ephesus! She was quite knowledgeable and personable. We got to see how Turkish rugs are made and got to see numerous designs and immense artistry! We were taken for lunch at a darling eatery overlooking a garden- food was served and I believe there were 8 dishes! Delicious ! Amazing, sumptuous cultural dishes of the region all fresh and in a beautiful setting! We thoroughly enjoyed our excursion and our day on this bright and sunny informative day with Elif and Opulla as our driver! Highly recommend!
We had a private tour with 4 adults. It was an exceptional tour with Arda. Timely pickup from cruise ship with a great driver and comfortable van. Very informative trip to Mary’s house, St. John church area, and extensive tour of Ephesus. Arda was very familiar with Biblical references at all sites, and allowed us to decide how much time to spend at each. The tour was planned to avoid crowds and make the best use of our time. A delicious lunch was provided in a restful atmosphere. Would highly recommend this tour.
Tolga was an absolutely incredible and knowledgeable guide. He picked us up from the cruise port promptly exactly where and when he said he would. He then provided us with an incredible tour of Ephesus and was a wealth of knowledge. After our tour, we had a lovely Turkish lunch and the food was incredible. I would not book this tour with anyone else and I’m so glad he was our tour guide. I highly recommend and encourage everyone to book Tolga for this tour!
Tolga was just fabulous. The tour, the food, the guide were all excellent. With only one day in Kusadasi, we truly felt we got a full immersive experience. Our guide was so knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to talk to. Highly recommended!!
We really enjoyed our day with Hatice! She was so warm, kind, and easy to be around, and she made us feel very comfortable from the start. She was also incredibly flexible with the day, happily adjusting things based on what we wanted to skip and where we wanted to spend more time. She was thoughtful and attentive throughout the tour, especially with the rain, and did a great job helping everything go smoothly. We also really appreciated all the history and cultural insight she shared along the way. Hatice was a lovely guide, and we’re very glad we got to spend the day with her ❤️ Thank you Hatice!
Our genial guide Yalçin allowed us to tailor our tour the way we wanted, gave us all the time we wanted, so it was overall a relaxing tour despite the wet day.
Wonderful trip! Oznur was fantastic.
Oznur was fantastic! She was super knowledgeable about the area and so sweet! I was told she was the best and now I know she is. She’s personable and easy to talk with. If we come back we will ask for her again.
Nizam was a fantastic tour guide. Answered every question. Driver was great too!. I would recommend to anyone this company and tour.
We went in Sept. 2026 and really enjoyed it! It was half the price of the Princess cruise tour and was private with just the two of us. We paid $85 for the two of us which included lunch. In addition we paid for the admission tickets to Mary’s House, Ephesus and St John’s Basilica. The original tour listing did not include the Terrace Houses but they had no problem adding them, we just had to pay the additional entrance fee. We were able to get to Mary’s House before all the buses showed up. The tour included a nice lunch at a rug weaving coop with a restaurant. We had the choice after lunch whether to see a rug weaving demonstration which we found really interesting. A rug sales pitch followed but there was no pressure to buy. If not interested you can just say no to the demonstration. Having a private tour was the way to go since we had control over the entire day. Our guide gave us a great recommendation for where to get baklava near the ship after our tour was over.
Tolga was a wonderful guide. He provided great information about Ephesus and Türkiye in general, and he has a fun sense of humor. We really enjoyed seeing the Virgin Mary House, and the tour of Ephesus was so much more than we expected. The visit to the rug makers was also very informative (just be ready to want to buy a rug!) All in all a very nice tour!
Olga was an outstanding guide and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking g for a great tour!
Our tour was excellent! Elif was so professional, knowledgeable, personable, and patient.
Elif was a wonderful tour guide. She was so knowledgeable. Even told us little things about what to not buy and to biy . She had a great personality. Really learned alot. Price was fantastic even included lunch
Groups we saw were too large, so glad the 4 of us had Tolga . We listened & asked our own questions. He explained everything very well & his English was very understandable.
My mom and I had a wonderful private tour with Biblical Tours Ephesus! Our guide, Arda, and our driver were both so helpful and thoughtful, especially with my mom. The driver even placed a stool by the car door to make it easier for her to get in and out—a small gesture that meant so much. Arda was patient with my mom’s slower walking pace and never made us feel rushed. He also took photos for us and shared fascinating information about Ephesus, Kuşadası, and Türkiye in general. His kindness and knowledge made the experience even more special. We’ll definitely contact them again when we visit Cappadocia. Thank you, Arda and our wonderful driver, for taking such good care of us. Highly recommended!
Tolga was amazing! This tour is a must do when you visit because it is organized, and lots of history and so much information and knowledge. Our family of four had a great time.
I had concern for English, his English was excellent, and I could understand. Kind, considerate - Tolga . 4 of us, great timing & explanation. Organized, answered my many questions. Very glad private guide and our small group. Well worth it!

My wife and I enjoyed a memorable and truly wonderful tour today with Seyhan. He was informative, warm and accommodating. The journey through Ephesus and the Basilica of St. John was unforgettable. We wholeheartedly suggest you try a private tour.

An amazing tour! Would 100% do it again! Gigi was great!!
Gigi was AMAZING!!! Best tour I’ve ever had! Takes great care, and cares about the history!!
Cigdem gave us a fantastic tour full of information and enthusiasm, she was very organized and had lots of maps and even called ahead at the restaurant to make sure we would have lots of space. Special thank you to her surprise at the Ephesus museum. The 3D museum was an extra treat that we really enjoyed! Would recommend this tour to everyone stopping by Ephesus
Great tour. Educational, personal and guide, Elif, was amazing! Meeting place, transportation, meal and sites were all wonderful.
Fantastic! Our tour and guide, Nazim, was fantastic! We saw the ruins in Ephesus, saw how handmade carpets were made as well as a generations old family business of ceramics. It was fabulous! Nazim was a great guide who was kind, knowledgeable and patient! I’d highly recommend this tour with the Biblical background!
