Booked this tour about an hour before reservations closed for June 13, and everything went smoothly. My only initial concern was pickup - the listed pickup points were all about a 30-minute walk from our accommodation in Izmir. Fortunately, I entered a closer location outside the normal pickup area, and the company accommodated the request without issue, which was greatly appreciated. The route includes pickups near Ephesus, so the drive to Pamukkale isn’t the most direct, but it does provide a glimpse of some Ephesus-area sites. We were picked up alone in Izmir and later joined the rest of the group near Ephesus. The tour was conducted in English, though the guide was also fluent in several other languages. Lunch was included and quite good. Before lunch there were stops at a winery and an onyx store - not really our thing, but the free wine tasting was enjoyable. At Pamukkale, we had roughly 2-3 hours to explore. The guide covered the major highlights and then gave us free time at the travertines. Note that entrance fees are not included, but cards are accepted. If you want to visit St. Philip’s Tomb, ask the guide about it while you’re near the theatre - the walk is only about 10 minutes from there versus roughly 20 minutes from where free time begins near the travertines, which can save some backtracking. I’d also skip the audio guide upgrade - it wasn’t particularly useful. Overall, a well-organized tour with a knowledgeable guide who provided great travel recommendations, including tips for visiting Cappadocia.

It was totally amazing experience. Special thanks to the guide for being respectful, funny and knowledgable. We visit jaw-dropping cotton castle with comfortable van. We spent almost 3 and a half hour on the road per way but worth it. Cleopatra's pool was perfect. Absolutely recommended!
The trip was relaxing , well planned out , got sufficient time to see the hot springs , museum and to shop too .. The lunch was good 😊 And the guide Osge was very sweet and informative Thanks for this memorable experience
Hello, the experience with that Tour was very bad. for me from Izmir the tour time was more than 12 hours, which I can understand because the distance was very long. What I cannot understand is that we have arrived at the historical site of interest, the reason for which I hired the Tour, around noon, and they have led us to waste more than two hours of time shopping sites that are not of interest to me , which were not included in the Tour program, and for which I did not pay. That meant we had less than three hours to tour hierapolis, pamukale. In addition, the guide did not give us a good explanation about the city, I managed to go through the entire city since I had studied on my own, but the guide never told us about the necropolis, the north gate, rather he seemed interested in us spending the pool time. Terrible experience, I would never recommend it
It was a really wonderful tour with a very professional guider. Everything was arranged perfectly. I want to thank all the team.
This was a great day out. Our tour guide Mehmet had good English and very knowledgeable, they picked us on time from the hotel, he made the trip very enjoyable and let us enjoy what we wanted to do. Our driver was Turan, was good natured and stopped in the journey to give us rest. We were also taken to to a textile and leather factory which we enjoyed. The car was almost new and very comfortable. The only thing that was not perfect was the food and it’s location, if this can be improved the trip was first class.
My favorite part of the tour was when the guide “Gül Demir” informed us about Turkey, its people, and its culture. Excellent driver “Kemal” Great team!
History was incredible. Our guide was very good Our young driver was excellent. Good schedule but could have spent a little more time at the pools. It was an excellent day overall Ernie and Diane
The entire trip was well planned and executed - very punctual and generous pick-up/drop-off, a proper amount of time at the sights, and delicious lunch included. Our guide, Umut, was well prepared, helpful, and engaging then whole time.
Our pickup time was 6:45am. Our driver was an elderly gentleman who had us get into his car as he drove us over an hour to where the shuttles are for the tour. This was not conveyed to us that this would be the process, nor did the gentleman speak a word of English, so we were confused the entire time as to where we are going, where the tour is, why we are alone in this car, etc. Finally we get to where the shuttles are and head off to Pamukkale, but not without a stop first to an entirely pointless shop selling extremely overpriced jewerly and various onyx items for 10x their value. This wasted a good portion of the time which we didn't want to miss since Pamukkale is over 3 hours away each direction and we didn't have that much time there anyway. On the way, we got a few relatively lazy tidbits of information so we can't say we truly learned a whole lot here. By the time we got to Pamukkale, it was 1:45, meaning there was 7 (!!!) hours from pickup time to when we could enjoy what we signed up for. We had a little over 2.5 hours to enjoy there, whereupon we had to promptly get back on the bus and leave. We got home by 9:30pm, meaning our day was just under 14 hours long, of which only 2.5 hours were spent actually enjoying what we signed up for. I understand it is far but I would expect far more time nonetheless to enjoy Panukkale and not waste so much time on other things. It seemed poorly planned overall, with poor communication throughout.
Excellent tour! Ardam, the tour guide, was knowledgeable and entertaining. He constantly interacted with us, making sure we were comfortable. Highly recommended!
Were brought to places where I did not want to go and I did not lay for. Therefore there was too little time st the actual location. Pickup was a lot earlier than booked.
Pamukkale indeed is a beautiful place! However I expected a little more from the tour. The guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable but we really were left a lot on our own. Also the distance was really far from Izmir. The company was kind enough to provide a driver to pick me up from my hotel but the driver's car was so uncomfortable much worse than your average taxi cab plus three of us were crammed in the back seat. The driver was a nice man, though. Also, I was really surprised that masks were not required on the mini van as there were quite a few people. Probably the ideal thing it would be to stay somewhere closer to avoid traveling so many hours but I'm still glad I did the tour.
It was a small group trip from Izmir, Erdem, a tour guide who is knowledgeable and responsible. he made our trip more enjoyable. Thanks!
Even though the weather was not optimal for the trip, our tour guide Erdem made the very best out of it. We had a lot of fun. Great place to visit.
Fascinating ancient city and geology. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and spoke very good English. He would answer questions about anything and everything! Being able to swim in the naturally-heated Cleopatra’s Pool was a wonderful bonus.
Mehmet, our tour guide brought heaps of knowledge, local facts and fun to this tour. He is very knowledgeable, experienced, well travelled and had many funny stories and experiences. A very special thank you to him. Tour was good, many sites and artifacts to see. Lunch wasn't very good at all, very stingy on the meat. However, the tour outshined this aspect for me.
Had a fantastic time with Erdem, our tour guide. He made the history of Hierapolis and Pamukkale come alive. He knew the best spots to take in good views and snap photos of the stunning sights. The tour was well-paced. Erdem always made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the trip.
It was the most amazing experience! Was thrilled to see the beauty of the thermal water ... The beautiful history and culture. Fantastic learning and a great experience overall. Had a nice interaction with Erdem, who was kind enough to take us through everything with genuineness and passion. Thank you for this beautiful experience.
Even though ours was a small gorup your, my wife and me ended up being the only ones, so it was like a private tour. Erdiem(our guide) brought along two students studying tourism at Kusadasi university. Let me start off with how the trip started off. We were picked up at the stipulated time from our hotel in Izmir in a good comfortable van which could seat 4 people comfortably. Erdiem was funny, informative and very patient. The tour was at a relaxed pace and we were never rushed into doing or not doing anything. Although the lunch was very simple, it was hot and hygienic. Alert: Carry your swim wear just in case you want to take a dip in the 'Cleopatra pool'. All in all a great trip to pammukale from Izmir. P.S: We ended up doing our tour to Ephesus with erdiem the next day as well.
It was a nice day. Our tour guide Erdem is very qualified. His english is fluent and also , his narration is affluent. A long time ago I attended Erdem’s tour .This is my second experience with Erdem’s tour.It was a great experience for me. I enjoyed so much. Both customers and I had a great day. Thank you for nice trip :)
It was fascinating to see the part of history the Byantium Empire has left us. Our Guide Erdem Eryılmaz executeded his job greatly and never left us with a question mark. Seeing that part of the history was entertaining. I would reccomend everyone to visit this antcient place to see the thetre with their own eyes themselves. Loved it
It was a good day but the weather a bit cold. Our tour guide Erdem was informative about everything, he knows the area very well. It was my first trip with him but it will not be the last I hope. Also I appreciate his support for locals. I recommend %100
This was my first tour and it was a very nice experience for me. It was a great day under the leadership of our guide Erdem Eryilmaz. I would like to thank him very much for passing on very beautiful and lasting information to us in his fluent English and valuable information.
Booked a private tour from İzmir to pamukkale with my family. From İzmir it took three and an half hour. Maybe it is a long journey but if you are with erdem as guide you wont got bored. Because 2 days ago we have been to ephesus with him and 2 days later i saw him in the morning coming to pick us up. He is very funny and informative very qualified. The terraces where amazing even my son fell down 😂 because he didnt listen to our guide at that moment he warned us that it was slippery by the entrance.he was at that moment taking pictures. Than he took us to the theatre.we learned that it was the best preserveted one in anatolia. Thanks to the company and team. Top job. Keep going like this
It was actually my first tour in Turkey. First times are always special but these one… It was more than special. And if you guys read these you can’t understand without join how i feel. Our guide is the best. He made me feel safe and comfotable. And same time he gave me fascinating facts about history of the Pamukkale. Definitely worth to go
I really loved there and ı was so happy as a student there. Our guide Erdem Eryılmaz very informed and he english was also so fluent. I never felt tired or bored, time passed so quickly. I enjoyed every second of there and ı believed ı learned important myths and history from there as a tourism student. I went Pamukkale before but this time ı feel ı am more experienced. I am so happy to having this tour.
It was a nice excursion day trip. Expert guide named Erdem speaking in good English was well informed. Although it was a bit long journey but for me personally I think it’s worth.
İt is a wonderful day and unique experience for me. Tourism guide also enjoyable and happy. He is so helpful and polite person. Thanks for everything!
It was a very enjoyable trip with our guide Erdem Eryılmaz. We left with good information and memories.
The trip was very good. Our guide Umut was very helpfull and friendly. The stops for food were well chosen. Organisation of the tour and contact with the agency was very easy and fast.
Pamukkale is stunning and undoubtedly deserves a 5-star. The transportation was on-point (it was a 6- 7 hours long ride in total) . The driver that picked me up at the hotel was punctual, polite and professional, and then I was transferred to another shuttle to join the rest of the group. However, I am sorry that the only reason I have to give a 3-star here was because of the tour guide. I personally wouldn't mind when the tour guide sat somewhere else and smoked because that's his freedom. However, he was really a big smoker and even smoked while we're walking/ while he's introducing places, which made secondhand smoke inevitable to us who were following him. Also, his introduction to places was not very clear (which other group mates also thought so). He didn't constantly wear a mask in the vehicle either, if you wanna know. I personally have done another tour in Turkey (not in Pamukkale, though); that tour guide had given a much clearer, on-point delivery in introducing the tourist sites. Perhaps I have been spoiled by many other excellent tours and they have set the bar too high.
Guides were very informative, and answered questions on a variety of subjects. Great choice of locations.
I had the best time here in Pamukkale, my tour Guide Mr. Erdem picked me up from izmir at 08:00 am, we drove to Pamukkale with 2 stops on the way. I had a really colorful experience & I recommend this tour for anyone who may be interested. I learnt a lot & had value for my money.
Visiting Pamukkale is my old dream! On this trip I was with very good guide Erdem. He's friendly, attentive & he interesting teller. The trip was very comfortable, thankful Erdem & a driver. Pamukkale is wonderful place, miracle of nature! I'm so glad I visited this place in winter because there were few people. I do recommend this tour.
Pamukkale is worth the travel and visit. My tour guide phyllis was lovely, sweet and extremely knowledgeable. Everything from start till the end was smooth.I would surely recommend everyone booking this tour for an everlasting experience when visiting turkey.
Pamukkale is a very unique place there is no other place on earth like it but I was advised by the tour guide not to swim in Cleopatra pool as it isn't clean o wish something could be done to make it cleaner for tourists
A place with a stink of history is beyond our expectation. Free entry with museum card. The area is very expansive Travarten, museums, Ancient theater and Ancient pool that is not too warm, we paid an additional fee to the pool an adult child with our Museum card 100tl. We parked the car at the entrance from the South facade and it made us more sense to bring bread with us, bring tea in the thermal so I don't know the food prices
On the advice of my cousin, we decided to join the Pamukkale tour. As we joined from Izmir, everything was nice despite the long journey and the warm weather. Thanking Guide Erdem and Captain Suleyman.
We took a Pamukkale tour for my cousins from Germany from the agency we took some tours at night, year over year, and thank you so much for everything.
