We had an excellent day on this tour with Adam. He is very knowledgeable and friendly and we were able to ask many questions. We had a delicious lunch and it was fun to see the countryside.
The Pamukkale and Hierapolis tour was excellent, and we found the ruins of Hierapolis absolutely fascinating. Yetkin was an entertaining and informative guide.
It was a nice trip, the foods were great, the places were beautiful. Guide explained many things, not only about our tracks. Unfortunately Cleopatra pool is still under maintenance
I would highly recommend this experience. Being in a small group, makes the tour smoother and peaceful. Would also give credits to Yetkin has been very professional and friendly guide to everyone. Also if you are staying in the Kusadasi area, it makes it easier to just sit in a shuttle all the way to Pamukkale instead of worrying the logistics and driving hours to Pammukale. This trip also comes with a buffet lunch with variety of options and desserts.
Nice small group tour which I now prefer after previous experiences. We were advised of our pick up time the night before and collected promptly on the day from our hotel in Kusadasi. Our guide was very informative and told us lots of interesting facts on the journey and throughout. I learnt lots about Turkiye. The bus journey was very comfortable and made shorter by the new road. I felt safe with the driver and he made good time. Nice, fun group of people which helps. Stopped at a rest stop on the way and also a couple of shopping stops, no pressure to purchase anything though. Lunch (included) was good, drinks paid separately. Pumukele was very busy as you would expect but there were lots of places where it was quieter to sit in the shade and take good photos. Our guide took some photos of us together. Take a hat and water, it's very hot! Shame the Cleopatra Pool was shut for renovation. We were told this only the night before. Not a problem as we had been before. Another good journey back to the resort with a rest stop and sleep on the bus!
The experience was not as advertised. Cleopatra’s Pool has been under renovation since February 2025, and a completion date has yet to be formally announced. When contacted by the tour operator via Whatsapp the day before, fees for Cleopatra’s Pool were listed as extra, which made me assume it was open. Moreover, the itinerary on Viator’s website still includes visiting the Pool among the tour’s activities. Thus, I was extremely disappointed that I found this out the day of the tour. The guide seemed surprised that I wasn’t told as well, but later admitted that quite a few tourists find out the same way I did. The time that could have been used to enjoy the pool was spent visiting roadside shops- one shop selling stones/jewelry and another one that felt like a busy TJ/TK Maxx with fake designer bags and clothes. So many of us went through these shops quickly only to awkwardly wait for the allotted time at these shops to end. If I had known that I would be forced to visit these store and that I wouldn’t be able to swim in Cleopatra’s Pool, I would have selected another tour. I’m upset that neither Viator nor these tour companies are being transparent with the revised schedule due to the renovation. We didn’t even get to Pamukkale until after lunch during the heat of the day. (Lunch was buffet style and geared more towards quantity than quality.) On the way back from the tour, the AC went out on our bus. The guide said that it was due to the extreme heat, but there was not even an attempt to try for the AC later on or simply open a window. When stopping at a gas station for a quick restroom break, I was able to talk to a few other travelers, who all said that they felt sick due to the heat and were close to passing out at one point. So many of us were suffering in silence. Why this wasn’t a one star review is because the guide was knowledgeable about Turkey’s history and culture. I don’t blame him at all for the structuring of this tour, and he did what he could to get us engaged in the sites we visited. That’s my honest take on this excursion, and I hope it helps potential travelers deciding if this will be a good fit for them. Pamukkale is such a joy to see, but through this tour it felt like an after thought instead of the main site.
Great day trip to pamukkale, great guide Ibrahim and driver very informative and helpful .Great value and well timed out
Although the guide was great, the trip was a little bit of a let down, they told us a day before that cleopatra’s pool would be closed for renovation and could not go, this however was not the case, I asked for a refund as this was a deciding factor in picking this trip, I asked for a refund, did not get one, contacted Viator who was no help either, they said this was an added extra, even through this is advertised, they did give us extra time at the other attraction but once you have seen one stone block you have seen them all, the cliffs were nice but only needed an hour max, we felt a little let down by this, the lunch that was included was standard, no good if your a picky eater, oh and they thought it would be a good idea to take you to an onyx factory and listen to a talk and walked round the gift shop, which I didn’t like, all in all 5/10
Booking this trip , the communication and execution was spot on. We got picked up on time , our guide Ibrahim was friendly and welcoming and knowledgeable .
Fab day out! The Tourmania team: Veronica was brilliant in arranging the pick up and any communication (we booked another excursion as well). The guide: Ibrahim was knowledgeable and patient with us. Highly recommended!
I highly recommend this tour. The van picked me up from the hotel in time. When I got on it, I noticed it was comfortable. In addition, there were only a small group of people, so the tour was almost personalized. The guide was very kind and paid attention to every detail to make us feel comfortable. He gave us plenty of information and tips. We spend a great time!
The tour was very well crafted and Ibrahim our guide was great. Lunch was sumptuous and filling.Group of just 3 persons gave us a immersive experience.
We had an incredible experience on our tour to Pamukkale and Hierapolis on March 4, booked just two days prior. Despite being a last-minute booking, we were pleasantly surprised to have the entire tour to ourselves (just two of us), making it feel like a private experience at the best price available on the site. The journey to the site was smooth, with no traffic, and well-planned stopovers along the way. The weather was perfect—cold yet sunny—allowing us to enjoy the stunning landscapes without the usual crowds. Pamukkale’s white travertines and the ancient ruins of Hierapolis were breathtaking, and having fewer tourists around made it even more special. Our tour guide, Ibrahim, was outstanding—professional, knowledgeable, and passionate about the history of the area. He explained everything in detail, making the tour both educational and enjoyable. He also gave us enough time to explore and take photos without feeling rushed. Overall, we highly recommend this tour! If you’re looking for a seamless, informative, and well-organized trip to Pamukkale and Hierapolis, this is the one to book. Thank you, Ibrahim, for making our experience unforgettable!
The guide was super patient, answering questions about the history of herapolis. I recommend this tour with this provider
Worth visiting, incredible place and experience. Went with a guide and some other people. Would recommend going for sure
The tour was well-planned and we had a great experience. The guide was quite knowledgeable and gave some nice insights.
Here’s a glowing review for a tour in Pamukkale and Hierapolis with Cemal: “Incredible Experience in Pamukkale and Hierapolis with Cemal!” Our tour of Pamukkale and Hierapolis with Cemal was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, Cemal’s warm welcome and enthusiasm made us feel at ease and excited for the journey. His knowledge of the area’s history and culture was incredibly impressive, and he shared fascinating stories that brought the ancient ruins of Hierapolis to life in such a vivid way. In Hierapolis, Cemal guided us through the ancient city’s highlights, including the amphitheater. His storytelling made us feel as though we had stepped back in time! Cemal was attentive to our needs throughout the day, giving us plenty of time to explore, take photos, and enjoy the breathtaking views. In travertine terraces of Pamukkale, Cemal had such a deep understanding of the site and pointed out unique formations and details we would have easily missed. He also explained the geological significance of Pamukkale, making us appreciate the natural wonder even more. What made this tour so special was Cemal’s genuine passion and warmth. We left with unforgettable memories and a deep appreciation for this beautiful part of Turkey. Highly recommend Cemal as a guide if you’re visiting Pamukkale and Hierapolis – his knowledge, kindness, and professionalism are unmatched. Thank you, Cemal, for an amazing day!
Great views, amazing scenery. We had a wonderful tour guide - Cemal. We visited Hierapolis and Pamukkale. I would go back again and again.
Very punctual. Tour guide Mr Selcuk was very knowledgeable and friendly. He takes a good care to all of us and provide us with information.
The roman ruins of Heiropolis are excellent and the history speaks for itself. The thermal baths at a constant 36 degrees was brilliant, as were the calcium slopes. There are two reasons I didnt give 5 stars. 1. The tour guides here seem to take you to other venues such as carpet weaving factories and onyx factories. These are fine if you want to go there and book a trip accordingly, but we didnt. Because of these extra stops we had less time at Heiropolis and the thermal spa than we would have liked. 2. Viator will tell you that this trip is 6 to 8hrs (all day). Our trip, and we did not rush or go slow, was 13hrs. Even without the stop that we didnt sign up to, it would still have been 12hrs. This resulted in us missing breakfast as it was a very early start, and also missing our evening meal as we were too late back. Viator have got these timings very wrong indeed (and I would like some compensation for the evening meal we had to buy, being too late for our all inclusive one).
The tour was very nice. Everything well organized. They pic up us with a luxury van, our guide Huray was prepared, smiling and teached us some Turkish words! Lovely! The lunch was nice, and we had enough time inside pamukkale. Thank you for everything. Reccomended
Wow, what a great experience we had, to walk around the fantastic ruins and swim in the cleopatra pool was a bucket list experience. Our guide Huray was awesome, with her history, dance and not to mention the great music she made our trip one to remember. I would recommend this trip to everyone that goes to Turkey. Thanks Henderson Family
We had a great day. Huray was our guide, and she was absolutely wonderful. Told us a lot about the history, Pamukkale and Hieropolis, which made the experience great. My daughter who was 11 also had a great time. At the end near the hotel, she also gave some short folk music history information which was really nice to hear.
Hüray was great. She explained everything perfectly. Showed us how to read in turkish coffee and had us listen to some traditional Turkish music. I highly recommend her.
Although it was a long day with a three hour journey each way I would say it was worth it. The pickup was on time but we did waste some time at the other stops as the people were not ready so we could have been at Pamukkale a little earlier to give us more time. The tour guide gave us some good background information about what we would see and the best way to make the most of our time there. We very much enjoyed the travertines. The hike up the theatre was definitely worth it and we finished with a soothing swim in the antique pool. The lunch stop was good too. All in all a tiring day with the travelling but glad we went.
Feedback/ review regarding Pamukkale tour. It was excellent experience we took lots of photos and memories with us. In addition lunch was great. Our Rehber/Directory Miss Huray had passionately explained detailed informative information with enthusiasm 💕Yay..! comfortable journey because the driver drove smoothly he was pleasant as well. Overall we had the best time at Pamukkale tour. I would recommend it to everyone. From all of us we thank you so much 🥰
Had visited PAMUKKALE for an overnight trip with family in May .The actual scenery of the town with its famous architecture is not upto the mark as seen in Pictures.Even the Hotels /Food were not great.I would have preferred to stay in Kusadasi town for a day more rather then take a long trip to PAMUKKALE.
We were picked up on time, the journey was broken up well with a stop on the way, were you can get a drink and a snack. We had a couple of stops on the way whilst we learnt about Turkish history. The tour guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable and ensured we had time to explore. Really enjoyed the trip.
Pre trip communication was very good. Got Picked up on time. Guide was very knowledgeable and delivered in clear English. She even went over and above to advise about other sightseeing places. Will recommend to others
It was a very insightful trip to Pamukkale. I would have preferred if we had more time to explore in Pamukkale itself. Loved the history and the landscape. Would recommend to others. Tour guide was entertaining and very pleasant
Amazing services Everything was on time Vehicle and Guide details were shared a day before Guide was sweet and helpful, we had to leave from pamukalle to Antalya and she helped us pick bus for it
We really loved the tour to Pamukkale! It was a long drive but worth it :) our guide Hüray was the best and took us to several nice places and even did some fortune telling with our coffee ;) She told a lot of interesting stories about the country, culture and history. Would definitely recommend!
The day was good, we had 2h hours of free time in Pamukkale/Hierapolis plus 1 hours visiting widely the place with comments of the guide, This time was perfect, The lunch was really good, But there is a lot of wasting time in shops to sell products without any explanation about the manufacture, just to make money. Maybe it should be better to have more time in Pamukkale by canceling the stops in the shops.
Wonderful trip to Pamukkale, clear explinations by the guide and perfectly on time, both departure and return. A real treasure. Robert
The journey from Kusadasi to Pamukkale is long but worth it. The driver and the guide were both professional whilst taking us to these two UNESCO World Heritage sites. I was in a fairly small group, it was just a young family and myself. We first visited an outlet that sold cotton products since the area is known for its cotton production, I'm not a big shopper so I just bought a very small towel. We then went for lunch, which had a lot to choose from and I decided to try the chicken kebab which was tasty. Afterwards we headed towards the main sites of Hierapolis and Pamukkale. We were able to jump ahead of the queue as the guide had already booked the tickets, for note you have to pay for it as it's not included in the tour price. I really like Hierapolis and the ancient artefacts left by the Romans, especially the amphitheater. Pamukkale was fascinating but it can get crowded and it can be slippery in some places. However it is a spectacular natural site and is definitely worth the visit. The Cleopatra pool was interesting, very busy but the water was at the right temperature! Overall, it was a nice adventure to see these sites, just make sure you are ready as it is a long day but one where you get to see some famous sites in this region.
It wasn't like the pictures in the internet. The experience was amazing, we spend great time, did nice photos and have filled the spirit of ancient times. Recommend this please as "must visit it" at least lans in the lifetime.
Nice trip. Combination of nature and culture. We did this in a small group and that was nice. Good organised and good communication with organiser.
Excellent tour. Pick up was on time and the experience at pamukkale was great. Only thing I would say is the stop off at the pottery place could have been an extra half hour at the thermal springs, which I would have preferred. But all in all a great day.
Everything went as expected, they were very kind and helpful, very recommended. I bought English tour tickets, and they send me with a Spanish group as i ask them. Very good buffet lunch.
Great experience. The tour manager thorough with the ancestral insights and was extremely knowledgeable. The pickup and coach was on time as well.
The experience to see Hierapolis and the “Cotton Castle” Terrace was great. We opted for an add-on of paragliding over the site, it was an once-a-life-time experience. Friendly guide and driver.
Hi! It was very interesting! The guide Mel is incredible! She knows a lot about the history of the place! Thank you a lot!
It was an amazing place and very good for history buff. Amazing limestone taverns and roman ruins are amazing.
I had a wonderful day trip, I was picked up on time from my hotel, my tour guide was brilliant so friendly and knowledgeable we had a lovely lunch before exploring the beautiful site I really enjoyed the spring pools and Swam in cleopatras pool which was so warm, and I was returned to my hotel after a wonderful day.
I am very happy with the overall tour. Pamukkale is amazing! The tour guide and driver is very nice. Will recommend for sure!
