Inan was a wonderful and informative tour guide. The van was new and comfortable and even provided cold water for our family.

After greeting, we will have a 2-minute drive to the Ephesus area to visit one of the main highlights in Turkey. Ephesus, one of the 12 cities of Ionian League (an ancient Greek district on the western coast of Asia Minor) is located near Izmir. As a port city it was a major departure point for trade routes into Asia Minor. Walk through history along marble streets lined with wonderful public buildings. Among them are the Baths of Scholastica and the Library of Celsus (it was built in the beginning of the 2nd century A.D. by Gaius Julius Aquila to be a memorial to his father Gaius Julius Celsus Polemanus, the proconsul of Province of Asia). The Temple of Hadrian and The Grand Theater are two of the most impressive buildings in Ephesus. The Grand theatre was built in the 3rd century B.C and it was later expanded to 24.000 spectators by the Romans in the 1st century A.D.
Our next stop is The House of Virgin Mary, located in the Aladag Mountains 5 miles away from Ephesus. At the third Ecumenical Council in 431 AD in Ephesus, it was claimed that Mary came to Ephesus with St. John in 37 A.D. and lived there until her death in 48 A.D. After the discovery of the house, the Archbishop of Izmir declared it as a place of pilgrimage in 1892. On July 26, 1967, Pope Paul VI visited this place and prayed there.
Lunch time: we will have a delicious Turkish kebap and mezes with salad with soft drinks included.
Next drive up to the pretty old Turkish-Orthodox village Sirince, located on the top of a mountain, where anyone will enjoy the impressive vineyards and peach trees. The village has a synthesis of Turk-Greek culture, where we visit a mosque and an Orthodox church. All the narrow streets of the village belong to the women, selling handcrafts of all kinds and olive oil. Another attraction of Sirince is its fruity wine. You can taste it in small cafes.
We will stop at the Temple of Artemis where one of the seven wonders of the ancient world used to be.
After the tour we will take you back to the Kusadasi city center or port.

Reviews
We were 2 people in a very comfortable vehicle for a beautiful day with Zegnep. Marys House before the crowds appeared. Followed by Ephesus where we saw a new display since we had been there so many times before, Next we visited SIrince, a beautiful town we had visited before. We were on our own and enjoyed it again. Final stop was Temple of Artemis - we were so tired we took photos from the vehicle with the driver lining up the car for us. Both driver and guide were awesome.
Our experience from start to finish was seamless . Our guide was so knowledgeable, and a lovely gentleman . During the tour if we wanted to add / delete things from the tour it was not an issue. Great value for money and a 5* experience that we will never forget
This tour was one of our favorites of all time. Our guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. I cannot even put into words how incredible the village of Sirince is. Please make sure to visit Hera Sirince while you are there. The Ephesus tour is mind-blowing. We went in July, and neck fans, water, and even an umbrella were a must. The transportation was lovely and air-conditioned.
We had a wonderful experience with our guide, Sefa. The tour was completely private for me and my husband and customized (time wise) . We loved our all inclusive tour to Ephesus, the House of Virgin Mary and a trip to the village of Sirince. We learned a lot about the history, Greek mythology and Turkish culture; had a wonderful lunch at a Turkish restaurant and had Turkish coffee during our visit to a lovely village of Sirince. Sefa was very knowledgeable, patient and accommodating during our wine tasting and shopping at the village. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kusadasi.
Most perfect tour with Gulsah she made our day so special lunch was good we took as much or little time as we pleased!!
Absolutely loved our day with Gulsah. She made sure we were enjoying ourselves and did the tour at our pace!! Lots of information about history!! We felt like VIP's. We returned to our ship with lots of time to spare! Thank you
Tour guide was awesome!! Informative, attentive and made sure every question was answered in detail…
Fusing was amazing, so knowledgeable and very kind. She made our trip very special and memorable. When I think of my first trip in Turkey, I will always think of her.
The views were amazing, the informations very instructive and the places really peaceful. The food was also really nice. Our tourist guid Inan was really kind and transmitted to us the fervor of his native region.
Selda was great, very knowledgeable and fun to talk to. Ephesus is an amazing place to visit, have been twice and would go again.
Our tour guide was Dicle Gundem. She was fabulous. Very knowledgeable and informative. Kept the trip interesting and kept us ahead of the crowds. I would highly recommend her and this tour!
This was an amazing tour. Ersan was our tour guide and I highly recommend him.He is very knowledgeable and friendly and made our tour 5 stars!
Top notch tour, fantastic tour guide, Ersan. This tour was full of excitement and knowledge. Learned SO much and saw so much. Would definitely recommend this tour and would use Curio and request Ersan on future trips! Perfect day in Turkey!
Yavuz was great. Very knowledgeable and he has wonderful delivery! He kept the information and funny comments coming!
Emre was absolutely wonderful! So knowledgeable in the history of Ephesus and so friendly. Again, we have encountered another friend/family member. Definitely request him if booking. He was amazing and we had a wonderful tour of Ephesus, delicious Turkish lunch and tour of Turkish rug making. Absolutely terrific!
Cem, a local having grown up in Kuşadası, was an experienced tour guide and instrumental in our family (2 adults, 2 children 11+) having such a great time visiting Turkey. Our private tour took us to the House of the Virgin Mary, Ephesus, Nakkas Rug, Şirince, and the ruins of the Temple of Artemis. Cem and his driver picked us up from the cruise port in a black limousine van with AC and educated us as we traveled between each location. Cem was personable, knowledgeable, patient, funny, and always at the ready to answer our questions or provide accurate backstory to the areas we visited. I must give a shout out to the driver as well who was always prompt and courteous by opening doors and getting us there promptly and safely. We never had to wait for the driver; he was always ready for us when we exited a location. Cem got us in and out of locations with minimal fuss allowing us to bypass huge lines through his efficient itinerary. Cem's knowledge of Turkish history, Ephesus, and the other sites enhanced our visit greatly and he never rushed us. Following his recommendation, our visit to the Nakkas Rug was calming and educational. Here we enjoyed a delicious, private Turkish lunch, a demonstration of the authentic rug creation process from the silk worms to the looms, and then a beautiful showing of Turkish rugs over Turkish coffee. The Nakkas staff were professional, knowledgeable, and very welcoming. We were never propositioned about our interest in purchasing rugs or anything else while visiting. Cem then took us to the small village of Şirince where we perused the shops picking up some affordable souvenirs before heading out to our last stop at the Temple of Artemis. I highly recommend going on this tour with Cem! We all agreed it was one of our favorite vacation days during our 16 day trip spanning Rome to Greece. Thank you Cem for making such a positive impact and lasting impression on our family. You will be remembered and we can't thank you enough. All the best!
Ersan took great care of my family and I. He was very descriptive and flexible with our plans and made sure we safe and comfortable. I highly recommend him for your Turkish tour needs.
We have just completed the most wonderful day trip from Bodrum > Ephesus and return. Selenay, our guide was outstanding, we haven’t had a guide with as much knowledge and passion, she certainly made the day. Our driver was the consummate professional. This Private Tour saw us visit Mary's House and surrounding archaeological sites at Ephesus, such as the Library, Temple of Hadrian, Fountain of Trajan, Gate of Hercules, the Odeon, Temple of Artemis and Cathedral of St John. To round out the day we had superb lunch set in cool surrounds of pomegranate and citrus trees at Nakkas Ephesus. Here we saw weavers, weaving their magic, and the interesting process of spinning raw silk from cocoons which capped off such a memorable day. We were here in late September and the weather was ideal. (Note to self, wear non slip shoes, when walking around Ephesus, the marble paths can be quite slippery.) If you’re looking for the perfect trip to the above, we cannot recommend this trip highly enough.
Aleyna has a comprehensive understanding of the region. She guided us to all the significant locations and provided detailed explanations. The vehicle was comfortable, and the driver ensured our safety. The tour was of exceptional quality and offered at a reasonable price. I highly recommend booking through this tour.
Wonderful experience. Must see this while you are in Turkey. Our guide Gulsah was very helpful in explaining all the amazing history here. Please be sure to see the virtual museum. Highly recommend ❤️
The views where amazing. Such amazing history. Turkey is beautiful. Our guide was amazing. He was friendly, kind and very knowledgeable.
Gulsah .She was a most pleasant and knowledgeable guide. On time and pick went well. The tour went as expected and was well organised. The driver did a good job.
It was an incredible experience. Tour guide Gotkem was knowledgable friendly and got us to each spot at the best time. This is the tour you must take when visiting!!
Our tour was great, and our guide, Cankat, was so knowledgeable. The walk around Ephesus, the Ephesus experience, and the visit to the Virgin Mary were really amazing. Bring a hat or umbrella with you because of the hot weather, and wear comfortable walking shoes. Having Cankat as our tour guide made a big difference. We had a really nice air conditioned van that was appreciated in the hot weather. It was a good experience being in Ephesus for a few hours, and lunch was nice as well. If you are contemplating a visit, and need a tour guide, I highly recommend Cankat. He's super nice, and knowledgeable.
Amazing! We had this tour as a family and we throughly enjoyed it. Yavuz(Javier) was amazing, extremely knowledgeable, patient and flexible. Everyone including the kids had great time, highlight of the cruise. We learned a lot about the history of the places and of Türkiye. He was kind enough to change our itinerary to accommodate our needs and was always smiling.
Javier was very knowledgeable and spoke perfect English and Spanish. Important to have a good guide to highlight both ancient and current history of Ephesus and Turkey. Tour was adapted to our interests and made it for a very memorable experience. Thanks Javier and Oz!
I love!!! This was amazing and Ersan remained with a upbeat attitude despite the heat and was happy to answer any questions without bias. He was clear and factual. He was very educated on the topics. I became light headed due to the heat and he was comforting and offered water. He would always stop in a shaded spot to speak and even help illustrate what he wanted to say by drawing in the dirt. I loved this part and really helped me understand. He waited longer than expected for us on each stop and did not complain. He got us to the stops early enough to get there before all of the crouds so we didnt have to wait in lines. He even offered to take a group photo of us. Over all he is how I want evey tour guide to be and I will book him again next time.
Yesim was amazing and did a great job explaining the sites and ensured we were safe as we walked around the site of Ephesus. The lunch was also great and we enjoyed the Turkish carpet demonstration and tour.
Excellent guide and tour. Punctual and well spoken english. Flexible too. We had a great time exploring ephesus ancient city with terrace houses included. Virgin house of mary was a divine experience.
Melissa, our guide, was amazing. A total professional and the quality of information provided exceed our expectations. She is also bey gentle and that makes the experience even more pleasant.
My husband and I were so impressed with our tour. We felt so spoiled with this private tour. Selda was so informative and very proud of her country. Selda kept communicating with associates at the different sites to check lines and crowds. I highly recommend this tour, all the sites we wanted to see and the bonus was it was private. We had a wonderful driver as well. The price was very reasonable. Don't hesitate to book with this company!
We had a wonderful tour of Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary with Selda. She met us at the cruise port in Kusadasi as we got off our ship. She gave us a wonderful tour. It was so nice to be picked up in a Mercedes van as opposed to taking a shore excursion in a large bus. This is the third time we have used Curio Travel and we highly recommend taking them if you want a private tour.
We toured the Virgin Mary’s house, old city of Ephesus and our guide Seda was amazing! She was very knowledgeable and explained things so well. We also toured a turkish rug business. saw how the rugs are made and it was so interesting. the rugs were beautiful. the excursion was beyond what we could have expected and Seda was a big part of that! thanks Seda!
We were with Kutay on this tour, he was a great Guide, speaks very good Spanish and is very friendly. He did his best to avoid us long lines and how far the large crowds could be (by those coming from cruise ships). The places are very nice and have a very interesting history. Kutay explains everything very well and gave us tips to take more beautiful pictures!!
The attention of Hugo spectacular, the city of Ephesus amazing and all other excellent places visited, the food very rich. Loved the tour 🎉
Very friendly Yigit always punctual, attentive and knowledgeable. Thanks for such a good Guide and company, always with the best recommendations
