Ephesus Tour Guide Review Thanks to Sedar, we enjoyed our visit to Ephesus enormously. His deep knowledge of the Greek, Roman, and later periods brought the ancient city vividly to life. Sedar shared fascinating insights into the city’s architecture and building techniques, as well as its myths, history, and everyday life, skillfully separating fact from legend. His enthusiasm and storytelling made our visit both engaging and memorable. We highly recommend Sedar to anyone visiting Ephesus.

Gül was a fantastic guide, I have been traveling the world and rarely you meet guides that are so vested and tell stories with such passion and historical accuracy. My wife and I booked a night tour and despite the fact that Ephesus was crowded due to the light show we had a blast of a time. You should definitely get tickets for the Teras Houses it was the highlight of our trip and Gül definitely has THE gems you can’t read on the description boards.

Gul was amazing. Favorite guide on our entire almost 2 week Europe adventure. She was so knowledgeable and extremely kind. Catered the experience towards my group of all ages (2yrs-75yrs).

Our family, multiple ages 2-77, thoroughly enjoyed the your of Ephesus. Gul, our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. She knew her stuff and also how to read her participants. Our driver took great care during our transport to the various sites. A car seat was provided for the toddler (upon request). Ephesus is so unusual. Cobblestone paths can be slippery. Good shoes are a must. Strollers do not work well. The tour covers much history. Other options are Mary’s house. However the entry line can be long so plan accordingly. With a private tour, other options are available. We aldo visited a rug and leather buildings. Not high pressured which was much appreciated Gul was fabulous snd thus tour is recommended.

We booked the all-inclusive private tour and it was one of the highlights of our entire 2.5 week trip. Gul was an amazing guide, so kind, engaging, and accommodating. We visited in April, and she and our driver were able to plan the itinerary so there were no queues at any of the sights. As promised, the tour included Ephesus (truly incredible, one of the best preserved ancient cities in the world), the Temple of Artemis (only one column remains but still a wonder of the ancient world), and Virgin Mary's house (quick to visit, so the cafe outside is a great place to stop for tea). Lunch was delicious and again one of the best on our trip. Only drinks were not included. Pick up was right from port and you can be dropped off back at port or anywhere in Kusadasi.

We had an amazing time with our guide Hürey! She was fun and we learned a it of interesting facts about Ephesus. We also had a very kind and friendly driver who’s name I sadly forgot. All in all we had a great time and would recommend the trip if you want to learn more about the history of Ephesus 👍🏻

We had an absolutely amazing time exploring Kuşadası, and our guide Mehmet made it truly unforgettable! The tour is kid-friendly and offered in a great variety of languages. Mehmet shared fascinating facts and stories we didn’t even know! Our kids loved it so much that we can’t wait to go again — obviously, with Mehmet. The tour was reasonably priced and definitely worth every penny. I would highly recommend it!

We had a great time. Everything was perfect. Is how do you spell your name ISik was so knowledgeable and did a great job with all the information on the great pace runs were absolutely amazing Temple Artemis just a really great time in the afternoon at the leading rug center was pretty amazing. We ended up buying a rug. We’re gonna ship it free of charge back to back to the USA then we had a great lunch with three courses and a great little dessert with some wine. We had a great time. Enjoyed it very much and tour guide made it all possible.

I recently had a fantastic two-day tour of Ephesus, Pamukkale, and Heiropolis, organized by our outstanding guide, Gul, and our skilled driver, Erdal. The tour included visits to the Ephesus ruins, an onyx factory, a carpet factory with a delightful local lunch recommended by Gul, the beautiful Pamukkale terraces and Heiropolis, and the Firca Pottery family. Gul, our guide, was incredibly informative and supportive. She quickly understood my walking difficulties and went out of her way to find solutions that allowed me to enjoy the sightseeing at my own pace. Her enthusiasm and deep knowledge about the sites were truly infectious, making the experience even more enjoyable. Erdal, our driver, was very capable and understanding of my mobility issues. Both Gul and Erdal went beyond their capacities to ensure my comfort and ease throughout the tour. Their dedication and care made the trip an unforgettable experience. Additionally, I highly recommend trying Kismet Pide for a great meal. It was a wonderful recommendation from Erdal. Thank you, Gul and Erdal, for making this tour a memorable one!

Had a wonderful tour today of Ephesus with our Guide, Gul. She was very Knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend her. Terrace homes are a must. The transportation was very good as well. What a great day! wonderful. And our driver Erdal was the legend.

We had a very enjoyable day visiting all the key historical sites. Our guide, Mehmet, was very knowledgeable. With this being a private tour, he adapted the itinerary to suit our interests. We did visit carpet and ceramics centres to watch demonstrations of the craftwork, but there was no obligation to buy. This is a perfect way to view the sites from a cruise ship as pick up and drop off was directly outside the port. All transportation was in a fully air conditioned and very comfortable car. The itinerary was adapted to try to minimise the queues. Only negative was the the entry costs to all the sites needed to be paid at the entrance and was not included in the cost of the tour. We were aware of this but the prices advertised at the time we booked were significantly lower than the actual cost. It is also a little confusing that some prices are advertised in euros, but they don’t accept euro payments in cash, not easy to navigate if you want to pay in cash. But they take card payment

I was impressed with the knowledge of the history of Ephesus Serdar our tour guide knows. We are pleased to witness the history of this incredible and amazing ancient city. Reading the New Testament from Acts of the Apostles (Act 19). Serdar took us to The House of the Virgin Mary located on Mt. Koressos, after spending time and site seeing at ancient Ephesus. Tasted local food and was able to watched how Turkish women waved carpets. Also witnessed the demo on how silks process, from a cocoon to becoming silk and a final carpet product. Finally, we visited the leather factory and watched a demo on leather processing from animal skins to a fine leather product. It was a pleasant day with beautiful weather in the 70s. Thanks to our amazing tour guide Serdar from Get Your Guide. We didn’t bring cash thinking credit card will be accepted but not all locations take cc since most of them are small businesses. So lesson learned for us. Lucky we didn’t get hungry and Serdar paid for our lunch. We stopped at ATM by the Port and was able to withdraw Euros and paid back Serdar. Keep up the good work GYG.

Ephesus was amazing, the museum experience is not to be missed and only 18 minutes long. The best shopping was at the Ephesus exit and the grand shops across from the port entrance. Our guide was informative and our driver always ready to pick us up immediately for the next stop. The Virgin Mary house is worth the visit if there are no lines. Our guide got us there at the right time to avoid the line.

One of our better experiences! The guide was very knowledgeable and provided a lot of relevant history and insights which we found interesting. I would recommend that the lunch experience is part of the tour, as the food was of top quality, local cuisine! Our visits to the carpet weavers and leather clothing manufacturers were unplanned, yet a great addition to the tour!

A comprehensive route was planned with visits to all the main attractions: the Virgin Mary's House, Ephesus and the Temple of Artemis. Our guide was very flexible, helpful and informative. We had a one day tour of Ephesus, the museum, Mary's house and St. John's Church. It was a great day. All the logistics were flawless. Our guide was knowledgeable and allowed us to shape our day based on our interests. We experienced so much in a day. Apas also was so helpful in organizing the day (i.e. suggesting where to stay etc.. ) Overall I could not have asked for better.

Gül was our guide and she was wonderful! She was waiting for us at our Kusadasi cruise port and quickly got us boarded on the van waiting for us. Hassan was our driver and he too was great. Gül was very polite and very knowledgeable about the three stops. Gül and Hassan were so efficient that we arrived at the House of Mary in great time and avoided the buses and crowds that soon followed. At the end of our three sites, we had time to visit pottery, carpet, and/or leather places. We chose to only visit the carpet making co-op. They obviously want and hope to sell you their products, but they were not pushy on the sales. Instead, they were very hospitable and answered all our questions. We highly recommend this tour. If you can request Gül as your guide, you will surely receive great information and care. A great tour!!!!!

Throughout the tour, we were extremely satisfied with the services provided by the travel agency. Our transfers were seamless, and we had no worries about getting back to the ship. The staff accompanying us during the tour were friendly and helpful. Everything was spectacular, we were picked up very punctual in a comfortable and elegant cart the Guide was exceptional, explained us very well the history and gave us a very complete tour.

The trip was wonderful, with a very attentive and polite Guide: Mr. Guray. I don't speak much English, and he made it a matter of speaking slowly, trying to be as clear as possible. Mary's face brings great peace. The ruins of Ephesus are wonderful and the technology museum is amazing! I loved!!!

The visit was tailor-made. The ADiL Guide, explained beautifully everything we visited. Honestly, if I had to recommend this experience, I would certainly do it, although I would eliminate the house of the virgin Maria, a meaningless one for us and make more use of the center of Kusadasi

Very great tour with Mehmet. He was very friendly and guided us well through ancient Ephesus. We had a well air-conditioned minibus with driver for us. Individual wishes for restaurant or route were taken into account. At the respective stops, the car continued to be air-conditioned, which was very pleasant when returning from >40 degrees warm surroundings. The included lunch (tasting Turkish cuisine) tasted very delicious, the prices of the drinks more than fair. Finally, there was a presentation of a carpet manufacturer with a huge sales room. Of course, they wanted something to be bought with free worldwide shipping. However, a "no" to jewellery and carpets was accepted. In short: we would book again at any time and can recommend Mehmet and his driver 100%.

Our guide Mehmet made our tour very enjoyable, he was waiting for us to depart in port from our Celebrity cruise and we took a private tour of Ephesus, Virgin Mary and other stops of interest. He was very flexible and also very accommodating and jokey with our young children. Fully recommended!!
