From Izmir: Private Best Of Ephesus Tour (Skip-the-line)

Ersan was a wonderful guide and tailored our day perfectly. He was knowledgeable and funny and brought Ephesus “to life” for us. We were thrilled.

We arrived from the cruise port and were fortunate to have Gul as our tour guide—she was fantastic! The skip-the-line access was a huge plus, especially with the long queues. Gul was incredibly knowledgeable and guided us through all the key highlights with great insight. We were a private group with older adults, and she was exceptionally patient and accommodating throughout the tour. I highly recommend this experience and our wonderful guide, Gul!

We (2 couples - 4pax) were treated like VIPs from the moment we landed in Selcuk, we boarded a luxurious spacious Mercedes Benz van & were taken directly to Momma Mary's home & thereafter, to Ephesus to visit the Greek / Roman ruins with guided tour by the fluent English speaking guide Mel. Her explanation on every sight we saw was very detailed & clear that made us understand deeply the significance of every place we visited. Lunch was arranged at an outdoor countryside area under a large tree & we were served authentic home made grilled chicken which were marinated & cooked to perfection along with lentil soup & hot from the oven freshly made bread. Thereafter Mel took us to her local village called Serince a typical Turkish village where we saw beautiful houses in the sounds of the Muslim Adzan or call for prayers from the local mosque. This was a unique experience to blend with the locals. The next day we were off to Hierapolis to view to ruins of the Greek collumns & theartre....along the way we had a magnificent local Turkish lunch. Highly recommended.....get Mel if u want a thorough English speaking guide & good food.

The tour was very interesting. Our guide Mel was very friendly & knowledgeable providing us the history and lots of information of Ephesus & Hieropolis. She went above & beyond to ensure that we got what we requested. Overall it was a very fun tour

Gul was an awesome tour guide! We did a private tour of Ephesus and the Virgin Mary House with a pickup from our hotel in Şirince. Gul was very knowledgeable about both locations and loved the cats as much as we do which was lovely! It was nice to have a private guide so we could hear everything very well as she was talking directly to us. It’s nice to be able to ask as many questions as you would like without interrupting a group. I highly recommend this tour, it is definitely worth it!

We loved this private tour and it especially was Melika who made it so special. She had a great sense of humour and a great knowledge of the area having been born in Ephesus. This meant she was able to talk about more obscure facets of the place which was excellent.

Our guide Nizam was fantastic! I can not say enough about his deep knowledge and upbeat, positive personality. We have taken other private tours in France, Italy, Istanbul, Greece and England - Nizam was the best guide we have had the pleasure to work with.

Great tour of Eupheses and the surrounding sights. Our guide Isik knew exactly how to manage a very hot day and get us to the highlights early before the heat and crowds kicked in. Isik is very knowledgeable about ancient history as well as more modern Turkish history. She wove them together to help give us a more complete picture of South Western Turkey. Very well done!

Melike (Mel) was a fun, enthusiastic guide to all the sights in Ephesus. She planned our agenda to avoid the crowds (there were three cruise ships in town that day!!!). I was picked up at Izmir airport, and dropped back off after the tour, lunch, and a Hamam visit since my flight wasn’t until later that evening. I recommend Mel completely.

Our tour of Ephesus was excellent! Our driver and guide (Nizamettin) showed up to our hotel in Cesme (2 hrs away) on time and energized for the day. Nizamettin’s English was excellent and so easy to understand. He was passionate and knowledgeable about the area as he was born and raised there. The transportation was comfortable and A/C working well which is unfortunately uncommon in Turkey so that was nice. This was one of the best tours and tour guides we have ever had - we would highly recommend Aspasas Travel and Nizamettin to anyone looking to tour Ephesus!

We took a private tour from Izmir to Ephesus and the guide (Chetin) was fantastic! The ride was very comfortable with a big passenger van even though there are only 3 of us. We visited House of virgin Mary, Ephesus, Temple of Artemis and St.john Basillica. Chetin with 25 years of experience of guiding, was passionate about his job and he shared with us freely on what he knows about various places of interest. There was lots of interaction and he also speaks fantastic English. For those visiting Ephesus, do visit the terrace houses. It is definitely worth even though the tickets are pricey . Would definitely recommend everyone to select the guide and tour!
