If you booked the option with tickets, you don’t pay for the tickets. Located 6km to the north of the ruins of Ephesus, a church was built from the 6C AD to the top of the foundations of a house from 1C AD and it is declared by the church to be the final house where Mary spent her last days. Also, it is believed that the Assumption took place there on the 15th of August.
If you booked the option with tickets, you don’t pay for the tickets. An Archeological treasure, The best preserved classical city in Eastern Mediterranean. During the 1C AD Ephesus was the second largest city on the planet after Rome with more than 250,000 citizens. It was in the center of the known world and played the role of a gateway between the East and the West. With its giant harbor it was also the center of trading in antiquity. It was not only a rich commercial city but also the honeymoon place of Mark Anthony and Cleopatra. It is also home to one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, Temple of Artemis. Ephesus is also so well preserved that, walking on the ancient streets among the beautiful monuments such as the third largest library of the ancient world or the largest roman theatre on the Asia continent, gives you the feeling of a time traveler
Lunch. The tour guide will suggest a restaurant; if everyone agrees, lunch is added to the program.
was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Its ancient cult dedicated to Artemis was very famous in antiquity and made Ephesus a much-visited pilgrimage place. There were a total of 127 ionic columns with a height of 19m. The temple is also considered to be the earliest bank of the ancient world
At the end of the tour we drive you back to you.

Erdal was amazing! Great tour. He arranged it so that we didn't wait in any lines and the crowds were minimal. He was also patient and accommodating while we made purchases and the lunch was amazing! Highly recommend this tour.
Everyone is going to the same locations (House of Mary, Ephesus) so expect to wait to get to each site, then wait in line to go into a venue. The venues themselves are crowded and our guide had to try to maneuver around other tour groups at each of the stopping points. There were 3 cruise ships in port, so the port pickup was rather crowded and confusing. Our tour guide's English pronunciation was sometimes lacking - he was often hard to understand, although he was trying hard to be informative. The House of Mary is an impressive visit, but has to be very short due to crowds - especially if you wish to offer a prayer. Also, the tour vehicle, a Mercedes Sprinter van, could have been cleaner. The most disappointing part was having the "optional" lunch and carpet weaving "demonstration". The food was OK, nothing great. There was a minimal carpet demo, just a strong sales push by the owner. Lots of tours stop at the same location, so must be well known. Left us feeling uncomfortable and somewhat mislead. Given the choice, we should have opted out of these last two items. We paid the tour guide for the lunch after we had departed back for the cruise ship port (we paid for a bottle of water at the lunch stop), so we wonder if he paid them and we reimbursed him or if he pocketed the money.
Yonet and Mimit are very professional and friendly. We learnt a lot of historical information of Turkey from Yonet and it really made our day! We also enjoyed the traditional Turkish lunch!
Yonet is very knowledgeable, personable and professional. It was a pleasure to spend the day with him. Tour itself is fascinating and an easy walk. Excellent lunch too!
Very good day. Yonet was friendly and knowledgeable- he didn't try to sell us anything and didn't talk too much (some guides never stop talking and it's extremely annoying). The lunch was the best I've had yet. We were able to explore a little on our own without being pressured to leave. Would recommend!
Your guide took my husbands phone and wrote a 5 star review for himself without our knowledge. The tour was fine, but not 5 stars. He didn’t give that much info and I had to ask questions to get anything out of him a lot of the time. We were only 2 on the bus which was nice but I felt like he didn’t give us all that he should have because of it.
The place was incredible! Our tour guide was knowledgeable, fun, and informative. The driver was safe and competent.
Excellent trip, excellent guide, good lunch, very interesting information, very comfortable minibus.
This was an amazing tour from the very beginning where we were picked up from the cruise port to the moment we were dropped off at the port with plenty of time to shop at the bazaar near the terminal before boarding our ship. Ali S. took very good care of us and planned the itinerary so that we could avoid all of the crowds at each location. He gave us alot of information and also added in features and stops that helped us stay cool in the Turkey heat. I highly recommend the tour. You will not be disappointed.
Was amazing tour . Mustafa was excellent. Full of information. Driver fatmia was great Would highly recommend. Lunch was very tasty too
Our guide Bárbaro was very accommodating and informative and takes good care of the group. Our tour was part of a longer trip and he gave us the highlights so that in an hour and a half we got a good sense ending at the famous ancient library.
Miss Esra and her driver were the most delightful people that we have met in Turkey They are both professionals and very knowledgeable as tour guides it was the best Turkish experience on this vacation it was an absolute pleasure spending time with both of them They should be commended as exceptional employees and credits to your tour company We definitely have no hesitation in recommending tours with this group and we will certainly take more in the future 🙏🏻Steve Gianfelici
It’s my first time solo traveling and Tour Altinkum did not disappoint. The itinerary is nice, the tour guide is very knowledgeable and speaks fluent English. The lunch we had is really nice. Most importantly, I felt safe during the entire trip. Value for money is 100%!
This was an amazing tour and we gained a tremendous amount of knowledge. Esra was the name of our guide. She met us at the cruise ship drop off with her driver. She was warm, patient and extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area. Knowing the history behind the site was fascinating and added tremendously to our enjoyment. I would highly recommend this tour and Esra as your guide.
Fantastic tour. Ephesus was amazing. Visit the House of Mary only if you have strong interest. Nico, the guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable. . . with a good sense of humor. Included a tour of a rug factory. Of course, they were selling rugs. Outstanding quality at good prices. Lunch was good. We strongly recommend this tour.
We had the most amazing time with Ezra! I go on a lot of excursions and this was by far the best on this entire Mediterranean tour. We went to Ephesus and saw the most amazing sites. Ezra and the driver were so kind and informative. Ezra met us on time at the ship terminal and we rode in a new air conditioned van. It was very comfy. During the drive Ezra explained so much about the country. When we got to the sites Ezra’s knowledge was amazing. We soaked up all her history and were impressed at her level of knowledge. We went for a traditional Turkish lunch and ate while enjoying each others company. We booked a Turkish massage but Ezra recommended a better facility and it was closer to the cruise ship allowing us more time to relax. I wouldn’t hesitate one second and for sure book your excursion with this company. If you are lucky you might get Ezra!!!!!
Anastasia was a very informative guide and provided us with a well organised trip in a small group environment. Would recommend to anyone interested in doing this day trip.
The only site worth visiting is the Ephesus Ancient city, everything else for me was a waste of time. Lunch was great and Barb was a great tour guide. It was September and still quite hot. An umbrella for Ephesus is essential.
Best experience ever. Great information and funny trip. Mr.Gorkem gave valuable information and knew about history of every place we visited
Had this wonderful tour to Ephesus guided by Riza Okan. Very knowledgeable and fun tour guide. He even took my friend to visit a handmade carpet factory as we were curious about how the famous Turkish carpets were made here. We had lots of fun through the entire day. Highly recommended Riza and the day Ephesus tour to anyone who’d like to see this part of the Turkey.
We enjoyed the sites. Our guide Riza and driver are very professional. Very informative. The lunch is good as well.
We had Emre as our guide, and it was a very informative tour. He has a great knowledge of history, and I learnt a lot about Ephesus from him. Definitely recommended.
We did the day tour to Ephesus & Virgin Mary's house. I can't recommend the tour or the guides highly enough especially Gonca. It was a great day out & she was very knowledgeable about all areas of the tour.
That was an amaxing tour with great guide emre. Vehicle was new and good ac. Take your camera with you because there is lots of point for photo.
Today we had such a wonderful to tour of kusadasi with an amazing guide Emre. The best things about that really made us happy was his the most friendly behaviour towards each of us this guy really has ample of knowledge and exceptional command over the language. Emre explained each destination wonderfully we are glad that we got an opportunity to take a tour with him 😍😍
Ephesus is a marvel, and the guide we had was very good. We did it in English, and it was perfectly understandable. Good explanations and very pleasant. We also ate at a place that we liked. Totally recommendable.
Risa a été un guide plus que parfait. Il connaît très bien l'histoire d'Éphèse et donne plein d'informations utiles sur la Turquie en général. Il est très flexible dans l'horaire de la journée et prêt è répondre à toutes demandes.
I recommend this excursion to the cinema percent, Guide Hugo speaks very fluent Spanish and is very knowledgeable, thus communicating data with excellent accuracy. A 10 for him and very correct lunch.
