Our private tour guide was very knowledgeable and well spoken, so we learned a great deal of historical information about Ephesus. We visited several sites and areas throughout the city which were interesting. The only reason for not giving a 5 star rating was our unexpected stop at a Turkish rug manufacturer/warehouse which was not listed on our tour. We spent about 30-45 minutes at this stop and were given a tour of the business which led to a high pressure sales pitch to purchase various sizes rugs. We ultimately decided to purchase two rugs for our new home at a negotiated price. Viator should be aware of such unexpected stops during a listed tour, and this information should be included in the tour itinerary. We hope to see receive the rugs in 3-4 months as promised with their free shipping/guaranteed delivery offer.

It was such a nice private tour. We started early at 7:30 and went up straight to Mother Mary’s House before the entire ship passngers arrives. Our tour guide Devran was very knowlegeable with history and precise with dates.

Güfte was a great tour guide, great experience. Definitely recommend her to see the sights. 10/10 we saw Ephesus, house of Mary, ceramic making, Turkish delight and carpet making. The car was comfortable clean, air-conditioned, had water and offered to take us to lunch.

The House of Mary and the ruins of Ephesus are absolutely amazing. A must see for anyone coming to this area; however, a few things to be aware of. If you are Christian and want information about Paul's time in Ephesus, your guide is Muslim and very little information will be given. Mary and Jesus are included in the Koran so they do speek well of her home and where John brought her. We also stopped at pottery studio. We own a pottery studio and the items for sale there are not produced on site. You will find d the same items in many stores in town. We were taken to a rug factory. Again, this is not where the items are actually produced and they use HIGH pressure sales tactics to get you to purchase $6000-$13,000 carpets. Don't stop there or if you do, tell them up front you will not buy!! We talked to multiple people on our cruise that experiences the same and were all put off by the hard sell. That being said, don't go to this area without seeing Ephesus!! Its amazing!

Great. Small group and our guide Gufte was flexible and we enjoyed some small side trips. Ephesus is worth seeing although supposed home of Mary less so. Seemed mostly like a time filler and the time can probably be put to better use. Our guide helped us with that. She knew here way around and made the trip so much more interesting.

Gufte was an excellent guide. Very knowledgable and happy to answer all questions. She took her time showing us around the primary tourist sites but also offered to show us additional destinations that offered authentic cultural experiences.

What an experience!! Travel guide, Gufte, met us at the port and escorted us to our transportation where she outlined our day. She was very knowledgeable and gave us personal time to explore at each stop. Good idea to bring an umbrella and lots of water. You also have plenty. Of places to purchase. Gufte has 12 years of experience and knows all the tricks of the trade. She was amazing. Our driver was also excellent and they both made the experience extremely enjoyable.

Our tour guide was ready for us when we got off the ship. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. He went at our pace. And if anyone is thinking of using this tour guide, he is also very handsome!

We had a great experience on our ephesos tour with our guide Huseyn. The communication and information before the tour were easy and quick. On the day of the tour he already waited for us outside the port even though our cruiseship arrived too late. He gave us a lot of insight on the historical and architectural context and backstory of everything and guided us to the best spots at the best time. Of course ephesos is always hot and crowdy but he made the best out of the experience. Highly recommended.

Firstly, great communication with the tour operator, watts app messages on meeting place, time etc was really helpful. Our tour guide Octavious was so knowledgeable about absolutely everything Ephasus, the area, the history, the Virgin Marys house and of course the ruins at Ephasus, he was such a good orator it was an easy listen! We were taken in a luxury 16 seater bus, very comfortable with air con. I would highly recommend this tour

Absolutely 100000% recommend!!! Guide was exceptional!!! (And there were 4 of us.) He was personable, insanely knowledgeable, kind, patient, helpful and funny. Also, very well organized! And oh my goodness this tour was sooo sooo inexpensive compared to what we paid in other countries for a private driver & tour guide!! Worth every cent!!! Choose this one!!! You won’t regret it!!! Ephesus was a great experience. We were met near the ship by our tour guide; Huseyin. It was easy to find him with our name on a sign. We were given enough time at each sites we visited, and his description of the history of Ephesus permitted us to assimilate a wonderfull experience of this old city. This tour is outstanding. The van is an impeccable mercedes and the driver is great. Gufte our guide is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the history of Ephesus, the Virign Mary's home and Artimes temple. She gave us ample time to photo and options for additional stops. We had a lovely lunch at family owned restaurant. Don't miss this tour, it's sublime. Take good tip money, she and the driver deserve it!

We had the most amazing day on our Ephesus tour from Kusadasi Cruise Port with our guide, Ahmet. From the very beginning, he tailored the experience to our interests, and his knowledge of history, archaeology, cultures, and languages was so impressive. His English is excellent, and he made everything easy to understand and engaging. What really stood out was how thoughtful he was—he arranged for us to be dropped at the top of the site so we could walk downhill (a huge advantage in the summer heat while others were struggling uphill). He always found a shady spot to share stories, making the tour both comfortable and fascinating. We also enjoyed a special stop for Turkish tea and a traditional coffee reading, which made the day feel even more authentic and personal. We learned so much and came away with a greater appreciation and understanding of Turkey—a stop we had originally thought about skipping. Ahmet made it unforgettable. He is personable, easygoing, and went out of his way to make the tour enjoyable and stress-free. Highly recommend this tour—and especially Ahmet—as your guide in Ephesus!

Very interesting to see the ancient ruins and to hear about it's history. Our tour guide was amazing. Gufte Kilic took time to really explain the history. She was also fun to be to with and helped us a lot.

Just had an amazing day with our tour guide Hüseyin- communication was super easy from when we booked the tour all the way to the meetup at the cruise gate. The ancient city of Ephesus was incredible and Hüseyin knew all of the best photo spots. We got some amazing pictures. There is plenty of flexibility to spend as much or as little time in all the spots as you’d like- highly highly recommend the private tour, it’s the best way to do it!

Ephesus is crowded but a good private guide brought it to life. Gufta was great! The people we met were warm and welcoming.

Our amazing guide (Tylan) met us at the cruise port, as scheduled. We were then met by a driver in a new, clean, air-conditioned vehicle. We learned lots of great information about Turkey as we drove to the various sights included on the tour. The best part of the tour was seeing the ancient ruined city of Ephesus. My husband and I learned so much! We also traveled with our 11-year-old son. After seeing the sights, we had lunch at a buffet restaurant. The variety and quality of food were outstanding! We really enjoyed ourselves. Our guide was very engaged with us and encouraged us to ask a lot of questions. We arrived back to the cruise port in plenty of time for its departure. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is visiting Kudasi/Ephesus. If you can request a specific guide, try to book with Tylan. Very energetic guide, spoke perfect English.

Tour guide did not kept the tour itinerary. Take us to some tourist trap, not detail on tour and due to time where not able to visit the most important stop, the Ephesus ruins. Upon tour confirmation, they mention that entre fee was not included, but never mention how much where they at the different schedule stops.

Ephesus was a great place to visit, our tour guide Gufte, met us as arranged at the port terminal and was very helpful, the history and information we received is essential to understand Ephesus Our extra visit to Turkish Delight shop was nice , and an interesting visit to a carpet makers

Thanks to Puerto Tours for this amazing experience. Gupte and Ahmet are great couple with lot of patience and compassion. They guided us well and took us even for shopping at Parmukale. We had the most beautiful experience at cleopatra pools and terventines. Had the best meals at the restaurants. Our trip to Euphesus was most memorable. Learnt about the origination of the word "hygiene ". At the end of the tour they were kind enough to drop us at the Airport in izmir to connect to our next destination. We met Yavuz for our Ephesus tour . My husband and I were on our honeymoon, and working down the Aegean coast, and Yavuz was with us the whole time. Yavuz is a huge history nerd, really knows his stuff. My husband is too, so they got on a little too well haha. They talked the whole time haha. We went to the Virgin Mary’s House, Ephesus, the Temple of Artemis and the Basilica of St. John. We went a ceramics store, Firca, where we failed to make a pot :) We found some beautiful peices of ceramic art there, and even bought one; they were all beautiful! Loved our time there, lovely people, lovely sights!

My wife and I took this tour with in May 2023. Our guide was Güfte and she was super friendly and knowledgeable. She even indulged my bad Turkish :) We went to the Theotokos’ (Virgin Mary’s) House, the old city of Ephesus, St. Johns Basilica, what is left of the Temple of Artemis, as well as a few local craft stores. She went at our pace and answered all of our questions, which were many. The crafts stores were incredible as well; real amazing craftsmanship at very reasonable prices It was invaluable having a guide, both to keep us on track, and get front of the line; those queues were insane. This was probably my favorite tour in Turkey; it’s so good we have done it twice!

This was the BEST tour, with the best tour guide Ever!! The whole experience felt like a private tour without the price! Gufte was our guide and a local with so much knowledge of every stop. The tour included the home that has been said to be the home of Mary the mother of Jesus. It is in a secluded area so it is extremely well preserved. The ruins in Ephesus were very interesting with stone inscripted with the symbol of a pharmacy, Medusa, and Sampson.

We had a lovely tour of Ephesus with Ms. Gufte Kilic. She was very knowledgeable about the ancient history of Ephesus and Turkey. She explained the customs of her country and stopped at a rug making and pottery shop for us. We had an amazing experience because of her professionalism. First of all I would like to thank our tour guide . Lyric for quick arrangement of our package tour . She did a great job and as promised of the tour . From door to door services from Istanbul hotel . It was wonderful tour for us on 2 days tour of Pamukkale, heriapolis, staying a night in nice,clean hotel near to seaside with breakfast included . Next day we went to Ephesus, house of mother Mary and basilica St. John in extra detour . What I want to say is good , efficient, trustful, and worthy to join these company for tour . This tour was great and I am glad we booked it! We were picked up at the port and brought back with plenty of time before the ships departure, which was important to us, as it was our first cruise. Our guide Gufte told us a lot about the history and we also had time to look around interesting places (for us) a little longer. The driver was friendly and took us everywhere and waited at good spots for us to be picked up. Gufte even waited for 1 hour in the morning for us without any problem (just found out at the end as I asked about it, as we didn't know that the times in the itinerary reflected times on board of the ship and not local times). The tour took us from the house of Mary to Ephesus to the rests of the temple of Artemis to a national carpet factory and as we asked we also stopped to get some local Turkisch Delight and apple tea. The included traditional lunch was nice and provided tasty food for us. One other great thing was that Gufte took pictures of us with the sights which made it even better, as we are normally not together in pictures otherwise. We highly recommend the tour or Gufte as tour guide.

It is a super complete experience. For going on a cruise it is ideal because they pick you up at the port. Our guide's name was Hussein. A very kind and patient young man. We were very happy with him. He had a lot of patience with us, considering we were traveling with 6 children under 7 years old. He made the tour a bit express at our request, but he didn't leave anything out. Truly a complete and valuable experience!
