We had an excellent day. Tour was well organised, professional and educational. However this review site is not the best.

Absolutely fun and engaging trip. Alpie was courteous and shared so many stories without overloading the listener. He never rushed anyone during the trip and made the whole experience comfortable. Highly recommend this!
Alperen (Alpi) was an amazing guide, who clearly knew his stuff. He could answer all kinds of questions and covered a range of history. If I could improve one thing of the tour, I would cut out the touristy stops, especially the leather shop. It was not advertised in my tour details and I would have preferred to skip it. However, the drive was smooth, price better than other operators, and the tour guide amiable and knowledgeable which made the tour great overall.
My man Alperen was that best guide I’ve ever had. Flawless English, big sense of humor, and extremely knowledgeable. He made our excursion to Ephesus and the surrounding area more memorable than I could have hoped.
Brilliant trip. Worth every penny. Alpi was exceptional. Very knowledgeable and eager to help. Thank you 🙏
Was a wonderful experience! The bus was on time to pick us up and our Tour Guide Alpi was very knowledgable, intelligent and answered every single complicated question that we had about the history of this incredible place
We had a lovely trip to Ephesus, and really enjoyed the extra visits as well like the ceramics factory and turkush delight shop, we bought things from both places. Alpi was a great guide, knowledgeable, interesting, laid back and with a good sense of humour. The buffet lunch was also very good. Thanks for a great day.
Great tour. Our tour guide Alpe was very knowledgeable and helpful. He made the tour even better. The duration was perfect.
Alpie was a great guide! He was super knowledgeable and informative, with a real passion for the history. He was able to answer all of ours and the groups questions, and kept a good vibe going during the whole tour. 10/10 would recommend!
First time to visiting this place and feel more history time. Respect this people what build this longtime ago without Computer, Cranes and other mechanical new items
Overall great experience. Our guide Erman did a great job on conveying the information about each of the sites. Very cordial person and was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend. One piece of advice would be to lose the two “sales” stops. We were taken to a Turkish rug maker and although the demonstration was interesting, the last part was an ask to purchase in another room. And later we stopped at a store for similar tasting. Neither stops were part of the published itinerary and we felt a bit awkward.
The tour is very good Alpi, our guide, has a deep knowledge about history and culture. And he was very excited talking about everything I recommend it for everyone!
We had an amazing tour with Alpi !! He was so smiling and fun, he made our trip. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history + culture of the site and land. would recommend his tour to anyone.
Alpi was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable on the history of the ruins and local area. He was very polite and positive. Would recommend taking this tour.
Really well organised and informative I feel we know so much now about Ephesus and its surroundings even Turkey in general. We had a great day! Alpi was a fantastic guide and looked after us very well through out! Five stars! Thank you!
The tour was excellent. There was a bit too much shopping time...no hard sell or pressure but too much time devoted to shopping.
Guide was knowledgeable. The guide was very punctual and professional. She knew the pathways and ins and outs.
Erman was a great guide. Very informative and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend. Ephesus was amazing to see.
We were guided through the highlights of Ephesus and the site itself is so impressive. However there was little chance to ask any detailed questions or explore a little. It felt a bit rushed and superficial. Pick-up and drop off were great. The lunch was of mediocre standard, with far too much time allocated and in a roadside restaurant with nothing at all around it.
Ephesus is an amazing archaeological site and well worth the visit. I would highly recommend a guided tour. You can walk through the site yourself and you will see a lot, but a good guide will fill in the “story” of the city and the people who lived there. It brings the place to life and I much prefer a live guide even over the recorded audio tours often available. Our guides for the day were Erman and Alpi. Both were excellent. Clearly spoken, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. They made the day interesting and enjoyable. The tour was well organised. We were picked up right on time, transport was comfortable, driver was good, lunch was good. Nothing to complain about. Tour did include the obligatory stop at a handicraft site with demonstrations and souvenirs available for purchase.
This one-day trip to Ephesus from Izmir was really memorable. Everything worked as planned. A special thanks must go to the guide, Mr. Erman Uslu: He is professionally licensed, knows in detail the region and its rich history, and, most importantly, has a very pleasant and warm personality, which made our trip that much more enjoyable. I recommend wholeheartedly both the trip and the guide.
Wonderful trip with a very good guide. Excellent trip and great value for money.
Guide Alpi was excellent and very attentive to everyone and details. One of the best guide I've had. He is extremely knowledgeable and made the whole experience entertaining and educational.
Excellently paced small group tour (only 10) that covers Ephesus and beyond. Loved our visit to the main site but also Mary’s house and the Temple of Artemis. Our guide, Alpi, is very knowledgeable and his English is perfect. We also saw beautiful pottery and were able to sample turkish olive oils and desserts on our tour as well. We really appreciated how organized and smoothly everything ran with this tour group! This will be a day we will never forget! Great pricing for what is included in the day.
Alpi is a superb host, very knowledgeable, with excellent English and a wide knowledge not only of the tour he was guiding but general information on the history of Turkey. Absolutely recommend.
Alpi was an excellent guide. He was very cheerful, organised, approachable, and knowledgeable about all the areas we visited. He was also more than happy to answer any questions we had about the sites and the tour. Overall, it was a great experience! Highly recommend!
Tour was amazing and our guide Alpie informed us of the history and stories with knowledge and passion. Highly recommend
Was great experience and tour guide was great and knowledgeable highly recommend
Excellent so interesting. Thank you Aphly. Great guide full of knowledge and so willing to explain it all.
It has been perfect. Good timing picking us up. Very good guide. He was super competent and well prepared and good mood. Entusiastic. All our recommondations to Alpu!
Really liked the tour. Our guide Alpie was very knowledgable and enthusiastic. They made sure that we were as comfortable as can be. The pick up and drop off were also very nice organized. The sites were very impressive and definitely worth a visit.
Excellent experience. Alperen was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable. Bus driver was also amazing. Thanks so much for a memorable trip to Ephesus.
Alpi!!!! Best tour-guide ! It was great to meet an English speaking tour guide with such a lovely positive attitude. The trip was definitely an experience of a lifetime and well worth it . Thank you so much . Love Turkey 🇹🇷
Alpi was the most considerate and knowledgeable host. Nothing was too much effort for him. His knowledge of the era is off the charts. It was money well spent, and a brilliant day that I will never forget.
This is a highly recommended tour. Our tour guide Alpe was friendly, knowledgeable and made the experience more enjoyable. Enough time was spent at each place. The skip line ticket helped as the queues are very long. The driver was punctual and got us to the venues safely and timeously. The restaurant was good, offering variety of food to cater for different diets. The only recommendation is to include more dessert varieties.
İt was a little crowded, hot day, but our guide, Alpi, took that challenge like a professional. Thx to him and team for wonderful experience!
This was a great experience from beginning to end. All of the travel and lunch logistics went off without a hitch. Alpi was an outstanding guide. I've studied and taught about ancient Greek and Roman civilization and hit with a lot of questions. He really knows his history and archaeology and I even learned a few new things. I could not recommend this tour more!
We had a great day on this tour! Ekim was an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide. Ephesus library in particular was very impressive. The rest of the city was a bit underwhelming though.
Our tour guide, Alpi, was so helpful and informative! He picked us up and gave us some history on our drive to Ephesus. We had enough time to take photos and take in the sights, while still eating and getting back at a good time. Very accommodating. Thank you, Alpi!
Overall it was a very fun experience. Our tour guide Ekim was a very lovely guy, he really took his time explaining the history behind what we were visiting and the places we will be seeing and the history paired alongside these places. The pottery place we visited was very nice, the lovely lady that was taking us through our pottery tour was very funny and sassy which kept our energy very light and fun. The highlight and main part of the tour was overall the site of Ephesus itself, a fair warning is that it is on a downhill incline which can be slippery due to the marble. Ekim took his time with our group of about like 14 people and made sure we were comfortable at every step of the way. I think it was just unfortunate we timed with a cruise ship on tour which made the area more cramped and busy but we still had a lot of fun in the end. Honestly if you have good knees and a keen interest in history this tour would be fun for all ages for sure. AND THE TEMPLE OF ARTEMIS, it was an amazing section to see such a historic site and it was amusing to see that the temple is in line with a mosque and the ruins of a church, therefore showing the 3 major religions. So that was definitely a treat. The last section of the tour will be eating and of course visiting souvenir shops which worked well for me end of day as it was interesting to see what the local products were on offer as someone from New Zealand haha. All in all it was a great time. Big thanks to Ekim who had to guide us through those massive crowds because that must’ve been a nightmare omg. But yeah 11/10 would honestly take my family here if they could. Didn’t even feel rushed at all during this trip.
Thanks for the great experience! Alpi was great 🙏🙏🙏
The guide, Ekim, was very knowledgeable about the ruins and was very thorough with his explanations. The biggest downside of this tour was the unnecessary stops which are NOT detailed in the itinerary. Be prepared to sit through presentations on ceramics, with an opportunity to peruse or buy some of these beautiful, but extremely expensive items… but hey, you can get a 50% discount! also when you’re tired and ready to go home, you’ll have another stop at another shop. I will say that the food and oil items sold there were nice, but incredibly overpriced. It feels very dishonest to not include these stops in the itinerary, I really do not enjoy being forced into these situations. I booked an Ephesus tour, not all this extra stuff, so if you book this, just be prepared
The Ephesus tour was excellent - our guide Alpi was very knowledgeable and he taught us a lot! The one con was the factory tour at the beginning for ceramics and after for Turkish delights. Both were not listed on the agenda and as such were a surprise. Also I think having one makes sense as that’s how these tours work but two was a bit much.
We had the best time with our guide Ekim and driver John! I really appreciated Ekim explaining the general history in the van and then getting into the details in Ephesus, he also made sure he was explaining things in the shade - which was needed! Thank you so much for helping me tick this off my bucket list
The tour was such an amazing experience overall!!!! Our tour guide, Ekim, was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and witty. He gave us such detailed background and history of how Ephesus came to be on the way there and as well as on site. I also really appreciated the supporting/minor details that Ekim pointed out a long the way. It was enjoyable from beginning till the end, from the pottery and gift shop visits to the food provided. Would definitely do again if I ever get the chance to!!
I really enjoyed our day trip to Ephesus. We had Ekim as our tour guide and he was amazing, he talked us through the history in great detail and was easy to follow and understand. I really appreciated it when Ekim gave us the background and history and made sure to do so under the shade, I thought that was very thoughtful as it was a very hot and sunny day. Such a fun experience I would recommend to anyone wanting to do a day trip to the ancient city of Ephesus.
Really enjoyed our Ephesus tour and the stops before and after Ephesus. Ekim was a fantastic tour guide!! Highly recommend.
Our Ephesus tour was an incredible experience. The guide was outstanding — he didn’t just share history and details, he made the journey fun with his humor, which kept everyone engaged. The driver was equally professional, ensuring a safe and smooth ride throughout the day. We visited all the highlights: Ephesus ancient city with its breathtaking ruins. Virgin Mary’s House, a serene and spiritual stop. Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. A ceramic factory and a Turkish delight shop — both were enjoyable stops, and importantly, no one was forceful about buying anything, which made it feel relaxed and genuine. The only small note: the food could have been better, though perhaps that’s just a matter of taste. Overall, the combination of a knowledgeable and funny guide, a professional driver, and such iconic sites made this tour one of the best travel experiences I’ve had. Highly recommended
A memorable tour to Ephesus. Our guide Alpi (?) was so friendly, enthusiastic and informative. He really made the day. His English was excellent and he give is just the right amount of information without becoming too detailed. He walked us through the ruins pointing out key highlighted areas but also gave us time to explore ourselves! The trip to the House of the Virgin Mary was also an interesting highlight. Definitely recommended.
We booked the tour one day before it. In a few hours, we got a message saying when they'd pick us up via WhatsApp. Accounting with the transfer, the tour started at 7h50 and ended at 17h00. The driver ensured we had a smoth trip. Alpi, the tour guide, was very friendly, had a perfect english accent, and, more important, we could tell that he really enjoyed history and talking about it. Besides the main stops, like Ephesus, the House of Virgin Mary and Temple of Artemis, we also stopped by a potery shop and a turkish delight store. Both were amazing, but the potery shop really took our breath away, we high recommend setting aside some bagage space if you're traveling, you'll want to buy everything there. In summary, the tour was amazing, we learned a lot without feeling that any stop was rushed, all this specially due to our tour guide, Alpi.
