our guide will escort you at sights in Ephesus, informing you about history of outstanding Roman structures as you walk through the magnificent Marble Street of the city. Ephesus is the most visited ancient site of Turkey and the third largest city of the Roman Empire after Alexandria and Rome. Once it was a trading center of Asia province of the Roman Empire known as Asia Minor. During your stay in Ephesus, you will be amazed by two thousand year old structures such as the Parliament House, Temple of Domitian, Memmius Monument, Heracles Gate, mosaic covered pavements, bathhouses, public toilets, the Third Largest Library of the Ancient World, the shops, the Largest Theatre of Turkey where St. Paul preached and many others.
House of Virgin Mary. Ephesus is an important place in Christian history as it is recognized as the final residence of Mother Mary. During the second half of the first century Christians were heavily persecuted under the Roman rule. According to tradition after the crucifixion of Jesus, St John did bring Mother Mary to Ephesus with him to hide escape persecution. They did spend their last years in Ephesus which was a very prosperous trading city. The House of the Virgin Mary is located 6 kms (3.7mi) from Ephesus and surrounded by pine and olive trees. It is made of stone and looks very small and humble. Outside the house is a "wishing wall" which pilgrims have used by tying their personal intentions on paper or fabric. A water source is also located nearby, believed to have miraculous powers of healing. The shrine was visited by several popes.
The last historical spot of your tour will be the Temple of Artemis (Diana) which was one of the seven wonders of ancient World.

Necdet is a fantastic guide. He was waiting for us when we got off the cruise ship and had an air conditioned van ready to pick us up. We went to the House of the Virgin Mary and the Ephesus archaeological sites. He was very knowledgeable about everything we saw. While driving he taught us a lot about the history of Turkey as a whole, Ephesus, the regions of Turkey, and his hometown. At the sites he gave us a lot of information and answered all our questions. He not only knew the history, but he also educated us on the cultures through history. He arranged some demonstrations for us of pottery making/painting, and carpet weaving in silk and wool. He also arranged tastings of Turkish coffee, tea and Raki at our request (Turkish alcohol). He also arranged a traditional Turkish lunch which was amazing! Necdet also took photos of us for us which was a great perk. His English is great. He’s very friendly. We absolutely will book him as our tour guide the next time we are in Turkey.
The city of Ephesus was amazing. Our tour guide (Selin) brought the city to life. Her knowledge of the city and its historical significance made the trip. We did make some on the fly changes to our tour since it was a private tour and Selin was very accommodating to our wishes. Would very much recommend this tour and having Selin as your guide is a huge bonus.
Selin was our guide and she met us right on time. I was surprised at how big the ruins at Ephesus were. Selin is an archaeologist, she loves her country and is passionate about teaching others about it. We got so much more at Ephesus because of her knowledge. We stopped at a rug store where we were shown how they turn cocoons into silk and watched women weaving them. Amazing! We stopped at a restaurant for an authentic Turkish lunch and it was so good! On the way back we stopped at a pottery store with beautiful art for sale. I would recommend Selin to anyone wanting to learn more about Ephesus.
Our tour guide Selin, was amazing and she was an archeologist also. She was very knowledgeable of every site we visit and brought our tours to life. Her personality was so friendly, fun and pleasant. We enjoyed our time with her and even asked her to join us for lunch so she could order an authentic meal for us.
we took so many picts, scenery was amazing & incredible places to visit. Will be back for sure, really enjoy the trips, Thank you!

The views and the historical sites were a beautiful sight. We enjoyed every moment of this tour along with our family and it was well organised.
YESRA did a fantastic job. She is very Knowledgeable with her history. It was great. DEFINITELY would do it again. The weather wasn't to bad but still hot in September.
Yesra, our guide, was very informative and also looked out for us when we were being hassled by sales people. Our tour went at our pace and we visited the last home of The Virgin Mary, Ancient Ephesus and the Heirloom for lunch and a carpet weaving demonstration. Our van was air conditioned and our driver Ergin was professional and prompt.
Ephesus is definitely worth seeing! Beautiful views and scenery. Devran was a great tour guide and was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Kusadasi and Ephesus. Would recommend!
Necdet was great. Great deal of information. We had a chance to stop by an authentic turkey restaurant.
Necdet was knowledgeable in current and ancient history and planned our tour from the boat and back perfectly.
Extremely enthusiastic and amazing tour guide! They were incredibly knowledgeable about the history and culture of the region, and made the experience truly unforgettable. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an immersive and educational travel experience.
Niko was very well versed and very proficient.. He was very informative and funny!! We really enjoyed his company. Highly recommended to everyone who happens to visit Turkey ! Good guy !!!
We got to see so much of the culture and history of Ephesus & Turkey! Our guide, Necdet was incredible and very informative. Definitely recommend!
Ahmet is a very good tour guide . He gave us a very good experience in the tour . My Family and I was enjoy of it
Ephesus was simply awesome, and Mehmet was the perfect guide for it. This ancient city is awe inspiring and so well preserved, it is a must see on your travels through Turkey. From the innovative infrastructure to the amazing architecture to its historical significance, there is not a thing about this city and the ancient people who occupied it that Mehmet doesn't know...and all told in his gentle style backed up by a warm smile and great sense of humor. They don't call him Mehmet the Great for nothing, he's perhaps more archaeologist than tour guide and he really enjoys sharing his knowledge so feel free to ask questions. Our only wish is that we could have spent even more time in Ephesus. I suggest getting the longest tour that your schedule allows, there is too much to see and learn here.
Fantastic luxury tour, highly recommended, Nico the tour guide had amazing knowledge and he was able to answer all our questions. The journey both there and back was very comfortable and made the whole experience a great time. Thank you Nico.
We had a wonderful day with Niko, his nickname. He had so much information about the culture and history of his amazing home county. He is highly recommended.
Had a great day in Ephesus! Learned a lot and took lots of good pictures. Nikko was very kind and knowledgeable.
Been on a fantastic tour of Ephesus with Necdet, a very knowledgeable and entertaining guide, he made this tour the highlight of our holiday. I have absolutely no reservations about recommending Necdet.
Necdet was a fantastic tour guide! The entire day was so informative and interesting. If you are spending a day in Ephesus I highly recommend this tour!
Necdet the best tour guide .. he was excited to show us the history of the place .. you all should visit this place .😊
The scenery of the ancient city is very beautiful. It feels like we’re going back to the past.It was such an amazement to see the huge building there.Sometimes you feel like it is impossible to build such a building during those periods but the civilization there had proves us that it is not impossible.
My family and I had a good memories while visited Turkey with Nico being our tour guide for the trip.
Having the opportunity to go on this tour was really a once in a lifetime opportunity for me. I spent an entire week in Turkey and decided to end my trip seeing the wonders of Ephesus and the tour was the highlight of my entire trip !!! I was fortunate to have Nico as my guide who was very funny and personable. He also spoke very good English allowing me to see and learn SO much about Turkeys rich history. If you have the time don’t hesitate to book this tour and request Nico to guide you.
Not only is Nico a fun guide, weaving humor into his fact-packed talk, he is quite knowledgeable, having studied at the university for 5+ years - architecture, history, archaeology, etc. I love history and made sure I never missed out on any of his tidbits... I stayed close to him so I could hear all the details. I had a lot of questions for him and he was the epitome of patience. He was never bothered by our queries - on the contrary, he seemed quite happy to stay engaged the whole time. I give him the highest marks and recommend him without equivocation.
Nico was our tour guide who designed and implemented a group for us. His humor and personality was perfect for our tour and his sensitivity to our group's devotion to worshipping freely was appreciated. Our team loved him and would definitely recommend Nico to anyone interested in a tour guide who has expert knowledge in the history of Ephesus. Job well done!
Our tour was interesting and enriching, with Necdet (Nico) Yildiz giving us plenty of information and being friendly, as well. I loved learning background facts about Turkey and her strategic place in history, as well as seeing many archeological wonders. It was an unforgettable day for us all, but as for me, I can’t recommend this tour enough. Thank you again, Nico!
Awesome tour of Ephesus and Mary’s house! Tour guide “Nico” was very knowledgeable of surrounding area! Great guide! “Nico spoke excellent English! $20 Euros per person for guide and taxi shuttle van plus $10 Euro for entrance to each ...Ephesus and Mary’s house. Booked it in a little shop just past security and money exchanger.
The guide did not show up, no one informed us, and when we tried to call, no one answered the phone. In the end, they refunded us the money, but the least I expected was a notice if for some reason you cannot come. Very bad experience
Excellent service, transportation and first time and kutay our unique guide very special, very good lunch and in a very special atmosphere very Turkish, a unique experience recommended 100% The company very responsible and arranged only for us a group of 11 people
Excellent excursion, very knowledgeable guides and very friendly, especially Burak, who also speaks very good Spanish and is very friendly. I'll definitely be back.
