After Greeting, We drive to Ephesus Walk through history along marble streets lined with wonderful public buildings, among them the Baths of Scholastica, the Library of Celsus; it was built in the beginning of the 2nd century A.D. by Gaius Julius Aquila to be a memorial to his father Gaius Julius Celsus Polemanus, the proconsul of Province of Asia. , the Temple of Hadrian and The Grand Theater are two of the most impressive buildings in Ephesus. Grand theatre was built in 3rd century B.C and it was later expanded to 24.000 spectators by the Romans in the 1st century A.D.
Visit Terrace Houses is located on skirt of Pion Mountain. There are 6 residential units which were built on three man-made terraces. These houses were settled by wealty citizens of Ephesus. These houses were very fancy decorated with wall frescoes and floor mosaics. There are many steps to ascend from bottom to top. Not recommended for people who has walking difficulties and acro-phobia (fear of heights).

A spectacular day in Ephesus. Ephesus just by itself is just mind-blowing - its the first time I truly felt like I had a real sense of what life was like, what cities felt like to live in the first century BC. On top of that our guide Inan is an expert on the history of Ephesus with an obvious life long passion for archeology and Turkish history, We learned so much and loved it all. (highly recommend adding the terrace houses to your itinerary - not only are they fascinating but they expand the experience from a macro understanding of how 100,000's of people lived and worked to the micro experience of seeing how individual families lives. The van was lovely, clean and comfortable and the company was very communicative

We are a family of 3 from Canada, first time to Ephesus. We spent a lot of time looking for a tour because we wanted to see the highlights with a guide, and also wanted the flexibility to adapt the pace at any moment. It was also important to us to not have a stop at any rug or leather or anything else like that because we have limited time and that isn’t how we want to spend it. Anyhow, it was easy to spot all the signs off the cruise area and our guide Ersan was outstanding! He walked us through the port, showing us highlights right from the start. The ride was air conditioned and comfortable and Ersan told stories as we drove to the ruins, which we all enjoyed very much and it brought the beautiful country alive for us. We enjoyed the ruins and Artemis very much. Esran showed us reconstructed pictures of Artemis which made the significance of the site really apparent. Recommend bringing water, hat, sunscreen and sun umbrella! It’s hot in August and you’re in the sun quite a bit. Very much recommend this tour and Esran was amazing!
We had a fantastic experience with Ephesus Shuttle from beginning to end. Pickup at the cruise port was easy and exactly as arranged, with a comfortable private van waiting for just the two of us. This tour was excellent. We were lucky that our small group tour ended up being a private tour for the two of us. Our guide, Emre, was outstanding. He gave us great information while touring Ephesus. He was a trained archaeologist and was excited that we were interested in history and was able to answer all of our questions and add additional information. We also appreciated that he handled the religious history in the context of archeology. We would also recommend adding the optional visit to the Terrace Houses while at Ephesus. He also gave us the option of visiting a family that makes Anatolian pottery (one of only 5 still doing this) and it was amazing to see and learn how the pottery is made.

We just finished our tour with Emma, and it was a wonderful experience. They met us right as we got off the cruise ship without any issues and took us to an air-conditioned van. Along the way, Emma shared the history of the area and told us about the different sites we were passing. Once we reached the main site of Ephesus, her guidance was incredibly pleasant. She was patient, calm, and very engaging throughout the entire service. She never rushed us, making sure we had plenty of time to take photos. Her pronunciation was excellent, and she truly made it an enjoyable time for us. On the way back, she continued to chat with us about the local customs and the country, while also asking about our trip. In short, we had a great time. I highly recommend booking this tour, and if possible, specifically request her as your guide. You will have a fantastic experience.

I recently took this tour while on a cruise stop in Kusadasi . Pick up was easy and there were no worries about getting back in time to the port. Transfer to Ephesus was smooth and we got to the House of Mary early so didn't have to queue for long. Gurkan was a wonderful guide.... friendly, inclusive, knowledgable and patient with all our questions. It was a memorable day and I would highly recommend this tour.
Spent a lovely day in Ephesus with our guide Nejdet. He let us plan our own day so we were able see the sites that were most important to us. He also suggested other sites that we found interesting and informative. Nejdet speaks perfect English and is both interesting and informative. Two out of the 4 of us have mobility issues so Nejdet went at a slower pace which made our day very pleasurable. We highly recommend that you use this service.
