I had a wonderful Tour in early Septemeber that turned out to be a solo tour of the virgin Mary's house and Ephesus. So many highlights including the Terrace house, library and marble streets. The guide was great, so well informed and spoke excellent English. Lunch was extra but delicious and worth it. Hotel pick up and drop off was flawless abs wonderful. I highly recommend the tour!

It was a lovely experience and incredibly immersive! Our guide Hugo was very accommodating, flexible, and considerate. It was a hot day, he always looked for shade… he also gave us advice on what to get at the shops!

A magical trip back in time and a wonderful day out! We had a fantastic, fun and informative guide in Gufte and a friendly, careful driver in Ogun. Stopping off for lunch on the way home was a real treat, the other guests were great company and the coach was clean, cool and comfortable. 5 stars from my husband and me - highly recommended!

I highly recommend Puerto Travel for tours in Turkey. We were a family from Australia with a tight time line and communications with Ayfer was excellent. She sorted out an excellent driver and guide for a day in Ephesus from Izmir Hotel. We were given complete flexibility in timing and how the day would run. Our guide Nico was fantastic and informative while adding a trip to see some pottery and get a delicious authentic Turkish lunch. The whole day was wonderful and I ended up using Puerto to book accommodation and a transfer for later in our trip. Very professional group to deal with. Thankyou!

We have just returned from a fantastic tour of the House of The Virgin Mary, Ephesus and the Temple of Artemis with a great guide Huseyin Apaydin. The highlights being the Library of Celsus. Our guide was not only geographically and historically knowledgeable but his explanation of the Latin derivations of the structures names was fascinating. He added a bonus trip to a leather factory, a delicious and authentic lunch and trip back to our hotel through the hills and olive groves of Sirince. Huseyin’s skill at negotiating the crowds and pointing out the best photographic vantage points was also really appreciated. Thank for such a great day Huseyin!

Hold on to your hats everybody as I am about to state the obvious. "A GOOD GUIDE MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE". We first visited Ephesus and its associated attractions in 2019 and left confused and frustrated due to our guides complete inability to relate to anyone without a Masters in ancient history. Fast forward to today for the do over. We were picked up on time by the team from Puerto Travel. Gufte was our guide and Askin was our driver. We give them both 12 out of 10. Askin has a beautifully clean vehicle and was a very safe driver. Gufte was an amazing guide who had great language skills and could put all the relevant information into an easy to understand commentary, something our previous guide could not do. The day started with a visit to the house of the Virgin Mary and proceeded on to the city of Ephesus. We then had lunch at a lovely rustic cafe (try the gozlemes) and proceeded on to the Temple of Artemis. You can choose to visit leather, turkish delight or carpet outlets on the way (the carpet one was really interesting). We were returned to our hotel with a new found appreciation of these sites thanks to Gufte. A big special thank you from us to Gufte, Askin and everyone at Puerto travel for a great day😄😄

What can we say? Gufte was amazing! Very knowledgeable in the local history and very personable; nothing was too much trouble. The itinerary was comprehensive, with flexibility built in; eg we said we would like to sample the fruit wines, a speciality of Sirence, and this was accommodated with no problem. Excellent English. We highly recommend Puerto Travel for a tour of Ephesus and the surrounds.

The driver was very punctual and drove us from Izmir to the meeting point in Selçuk. The guide was very nice and could explain a lot of things about the historical places We visited also a Lamb leather fashion shop and a ceramic workshop. It was really interesting.

Their knowledge of both the history and current events of Turkey has made us enjoy the day... along with the delicious traditional Turkish food that we have tasted in a small town in the area.
