After greeting, we will have 20 mins drive to Ephesus area. We will start visiting one of the main highlights in Turkey, Ephesus, one of the 12 cities of Ionian League (an ancient Greek district on the western coast of Asia Minor) is located near Izmir. As a port city it was a major departure point for trade routes into Asia Minor. Walk through history along marble streets lined with wonderful public buildings, among them the Baths of Scholastica, the Library of Celsus; it was built in the beginning of the 2nd century A.D. by Gaius Julius Aquila to be a memorial to his father Gaius Julius Celsus Polemanus, the proconsul of Province of Asia. , the Temple of Hadrian and The Grand Theater are two of the most impressive buildings in Ephesus. Grand theatre was built in 3rd century B.C and it was later expanded to 24.000 spectators by the Romans in the 1st century A.D.
If you wish You may include The recently opened Terrace Houses where the wealthiest Romans lived are an excellent example of sensitive excavation and presentation. The mosaics and frescos are spectacular
If you wish, You may visit The House of Virgin Mary, Tradition has it that Virgin Mary was brought here by St John after the Crucifixion and lived her final years near the city of Ephesus on an isolated mountaintop. A lovely chapel is constructed on the site tended by Franciscans and open to visitors. It has been designated a pilgrimage site by the Pope.

The village has synthesis of Turk-Greek culture, where we visit mosque and Orthodox church. All the narrow streets of the village belong to the women, selling handcrafts of all kinds, olive oil. Another attraction of Sirince is its wine: try its taste in small cafés.

Reviews
We wanted to visit Ephesus, the Terrace Houses, Sirince Village, and the Temple of Artemis. Our guide, Ozlem, customized our day with the right degree of history and culture, keeping our day interesting, fun, and at a comfortable pace. We truly enjoyed her personality which was as engaging as the information she shared. We would highly recommend Ozlem for any tour available.
We had a great time on our tour. The guide was very kind and knowledgable.
Ozgur was an excellent guide. He was knowledgeable and took into account an infant we had in our group. He was very helpful in modifying our tour based on our interests. He helped differentiate facts versus legend. I would highly recommend this service!
The car and the driver were very nice. Our guide was very knowledgable about the history around Ephesus and was a biblical scholar, so we learned a lot.
Exceptional experience, with a wonderful guide, Selaney. From the outset, dealing with the company --and kudos here as well to Aylin's promptness and clarity in making sure we understood there were no extra charges for Ephesus and Terrace house tickets, and no separate charge for the driver -- was easy and forthright. Our guide was happy to meet us early (8 am) to help avoid the mid-morning cruise ship crowds. Her knowledge was deep and impressive. Her patience with our wide range of questions was greatly appreciated, and from her we learned a lot about Turkish society and culture as well. All in all, one of the best guided experiences we've had.
The tour guide was knowledgeable, articulate, and engaging. Head-&-shoulders above the typical cruise shore excursion guide. Worth every penny we paid for it!
Spent a fascinating morning with Alex. He took us to the areas we were most interested in and we could spend as little or as much time as we wanted. Perfect for guests with mobility issues!
Melih took us on a wonderful tour of Ephesus, at a pace that we enjoyed and we felt like we had time to see everything properly. It was helpful to be able to talk with his company about the walking and the timing in advance, so we could decide whether my aging parents could manage the tour. The Library of Celsius was impressive, but the Roman villas will stand out in our minds as one of the favorite things we’ve ever seen and well worth the additional ticket!
Excellent tour and guide. We arrived earlier than advised and guide and driver were there waiting for us. great service! We were able to do exactly what we wanted and they were very obliging. We would highly recommend this company. They exceeded our expectations.
Our guide, Fulun, was an absolutely amazing guide!!! She and her driver safely took us to all of the spots on our list of must see sites and she didn't pressure us to shop when we said we weren't interested. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend Fulun to any friends or family that travel to the area in the future.
I visited this lovely city and ruins with my wife on a cruise stop. I had been here about 40 years previously loved our guide, see photo attached. Emphasis is an amazing place as where some of the other sites we visited. Driver and guide were both welcoming and simply awesome. Had lunch at a really nice restaurant by the water and a beach. I’m would highly recommend this to our company and our guide.
Learning how silk is obtained and how they create wool and silk rugs. Though I wasn't to thrilled about the tour focusing on sales for leather and rugs (very pricey). I thought we would be touring the island and trying many of their local food items. Felt it was more towards sales pitch touring.
This was fantastic. We made it our own-very flexible, easy going and friendly and the van was very comfortable. Do not hesitate to book.
We are a family of four with a 9 and 5 year old children. We knew they won’t have too much patience or stamina for long tours with a group. Our guide Pinar was knowledgable, kind, and understanding. She catered the tour and information in a way that my children were able to tolerate and even enjoy despite the 97F heat. The van was comfortable and the ride was smooth. Booking was super easy and the company was very responsive. Definitely recommend!
This was my favorite excursion. We did excursions at each port of the cruise we took, and this was my favorite. Our guide, Mr. Cenk Cengiz, was great! We appreciated his knowledge and organization. Our driver was friendly and the van was comfortable and clean. We were able to customize the trip and that meet all of our individual needs. I highly remind this excursion !
This tour is absolutely wonderful, our guide Nilgun was perfect. She was full of historical knowledge of Ephesus and Turkey in general. She and our driver made us feel completely safe and welcomed in a private Mercedes van. The met us with a sign of our name at the ship’s port as promised. They catered to every need, didn’t force us to go anywhere we didn’t want to go (like a rug shop, merchants, etc.) but did take us to the most reputable leather and designer handbag shop as desired. Nilgun accompanied us everywhere and, along with our driver, took excellent care of us. We HIGHLY recommend Nilgun and this tour operator!
Our guide was the most knowledgeable person I have ever met. He was informative and managed to keep our 16 yeqr old engaged. He even gave us some unique ideas of other things to see along the way.
We had a great experience! Our guide,Mr. Nejdet, was very knowledgeable, accommodating and flexible. I would highly recommend their services.
Ephesus Shuttle were outstanding! They tailored our tour to suit our wants & nothing was a problem. They took good care of us & we finished the day off with a wonderful traditional Turkish lunch. Cannot recommend them more highly. Fantastic value for money spent. Don’t hesitate to book them!
Outstanding tour with tour guide Mr. Yavuz. He was so knowledgeable, friendly and easy going. We had a great day and would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to pay the same price as a big bus tour and get a personal tour.
Ephesus Shuttle was a great company to work with. All emails were answered promptly, and what was promised was delivered. We used them for Ephesus and again in Istanbul. We had a memorable experience on both days. Our guide in Ephesus was Pinar and she was very responsive to our requests and all eight of us enjoyed both days immensely. Thank you Ephesus Shuttle. Others on our cruise used Ephesus Shuttle and they had a wonderful experience also!
I love the travel agency. The staffs were super professional and very resourceful and helpful. They were all also very patient and disccussed the itenaries. The costs were reasonable as well. I and my family had a great time in both Ephesus and Istanbul. 2 thumbs up!!
Excellent day. Met promptly at the port. Guide was knowledgeable and helpful with some suggestions of what else to see. Highly recommend
Favorite tour of our trip! Tunç was very knowledgeable Biblically, historically, and also of the area. He and our driver got us to the House of the Virgin Mary before the large tour groups. We only had to wait 15 minutes to enter the house (the line was over an hour wait later). He introduced us to Turkish coffee and tea. As we toured Ephesus, he presented the information in such a way that you felt you could picture how things were in their original time. Since it was a small group of my daughter and myself, he was able to show us areas that the larger groups would not be able to fully access. He also assisted us in navigating any slippery areas. Tunç even took on the role of private photographer when he wasn’t answering all of our questions. We went to a ceramics shop to see how they were made. No hard sell. Just beautiful pieces. Even some that glowed in the dark. Next upon my request we visited a candy shop so I could buy Turkish delight. Tunç was very concerned that we were not overcharged or paid for 1/2 products at full price. He introduced us to wonderful samples in the shop. Next we had lunch at the Agora restaurant and enjoyed 6 different Turkish dips with our meal. We concluded our tour at St John’s Basilica which was very humbling to tour the ruins of this special place. I highly recommend this tour especially with Tunç as your guide. You will not be disappointed
We had a great day in Kusadasi and Ephesus when we stopped on our cruise. Everything was taken care of from the time we found our guide at the port throughout the day. We were taken the places we asked to see and also given suggestions that we were glad we did. We really wanted to see ancient Ephesus, and we definitely got a lot more out of the experience having a guide. We also did the Turkish lunch, which was delicious, and my kids are still talking about it. When our tour was over, we got recommendations on where to shop and visit later in the day. We'd highly recommend this tour.
Yavuz our guide was amazing and was so kind and knowledgeable. He made our first visit to Turkey feel like home. I would recommend him and his tour company to anyone who wants to learn and enjoy the beauty of this amazing country.
Our tour guide was very educated with his history knowledge. Very informative and friendly. Through our private tour, it was what we really wanted to do with the tour guides input.
We had a GREAT private tour of the ancient city of Ephesus, Terrace Houses, Temple of Artemis and a visit to a local handmade Turkish carpet store. Our guide, Yavuz, was EXCELLENT! He was educational but also entertaining and engaging. We would highly recommend. Great driver and van as well. Very spacious, comfortable.
We had a wonderful day with our guide Yavuz. He was a fantastic guide and so very informative. He was very easy to understand and to visit with. The entire tour was as promised from start to finish. We also used Ephesus Shuttle for two days in Istanbul with another wonderful guide Selen. This company is very responsive and replied almost immediately to my emails. Thank you for three great days in Turkey !!
Ephesus was just AMAZING. To think that we walked the same roads that St. Paul the Apostle walked and lived. Our group did a private day tour with Emre who was one of the best tour guides I have ever had the pleasure of taking a tour with. He was a wealth of information and so passionate about his country and its history. The day just flew by. Everyone in our group noted how wonderful our tour was. Please take this tour and ask for Emre you will be so glad you did. Thank you again Emre for an amazing day.
Taz was one of the best tour guides we've ever had. Incredibly informative, knowledgeable, outgoing, and kind! We had an amazing day with him.
We enjoyed every moment with Emre our guide. The tour was paced perfectly and the content was deeply insightful. Our guide was pleasant and fun to be with.
Wow!!! We just finished a tour of Ephesus with our tour guide Emre. We are pretty sure he is the BEST tour guide in all of Turkey! We planned our trip very last minute with Ephesus shuttle. I wrote them on WhatsApp and got an immediate response. With in 10 minutes we had the tour set up for the next morning with a 7:00am pickup. Within just the first 15 minutes we knew this was the right choice and knew we were in for an amazing day. Emre has been doing tours since he graduated university and the knowledge and facts inside his brain never stop flowing out. He loves what he does and takes such good care of anyone in the group. When we want to slow down he slows the pace down. He is such a great communicator and his English is so clear to understand. Honestly he is a joy to walk the streets with, the kind of guy you want to be friends with. We met his wife, who was also leading a tour, and she is just as delightful…such a fun couple. We were traveling in a group of 6 people, two of which were my teenage boys…they both said afterwards that this was one of their favorite days in Turkey. They loved asking Emre all kinds of questions and Emre was equally excited to answer them. If you are traveling to Ephesus look no further for a tour group…and if you are lucky enough to get Emre tell him his friends from Seattle send their love to his family! Also the van was so comfortable and spacious. The driver was great.
Standing in the great theatre and imagining speaking and hearing the crowd like St Paul. Walking and touching the actually stones of history. Seeing the secret symbols carved in stone of the early Christian Church. Thank you very much for our tour guide, Geghis Khan, who knew so much and always had a story to tell.
The tour with Gonca was amazing! His Spanish is excellent and he answered all our questions. 10/10
