A totally memorable day in every way! We are a group of 3 couples, ages 62-72, fairly active, from the east coast. We recently set up a tour with Ephesus Shuttle from our cruise port in Kusadasi. We customized the tour. We went to Mary’s house, the ruins at Ephesus including the Terrace houses, then lunch with a carpet making “tour”. Our guide, Tez, had prepurchased tickets for everything so it was seamless. I corresponded with the office manager, Ferda, several times in setting this up. She was organized, efficient and responded quickly. Everything she told me was completely accurate, no surprises. Tez was immediately friendly and likable. He led us to a roomy, comfortable new Mercedes mini bus, for 6 of us they used a 10 or 12 person vehicle, just like we were told. We had a separate driver. While en route Tez talked the whole time, we were fascinated by the history, the area, his knowledge and especially his enthusiasm! He was our tour guide in Ephesus (Mary’s house and the Terrace houses needed no explanation!) offering personal anecdotes as well as historical facts. We did choose to have lunch on the way back (it was amazing!), and stayed for the carpet demo which was more interesting than I would have thought. I’m not sure how long they said the tour would last, I think 5 hours, but ours was 8 and it flew by. They were in no rush to bring us back to the shop. I would 100% recommend this company and Tez, and wouldn’t change a thing in retrospect.

We booked a private tour with Ephesus Shuttle to visit Ancient Ephesus, the Basilica of St. John, and the Temple of Artemis. We also added on the Terrace Houses and a Turkish lunch. We requested a guide who is knowledgeable in Biblical things as well. Ephesus Shuttle delivered in every way. Ersan was polite, kind, and well prepared, sharing about the history of everything we saw, patiently talking through stories, etymologies, and even local plant life—we even enjoyed a small Bible lesson and prayer in the center of the ancient Ephesus agora. Pickup from the cruise port was easy and straightforward, and lunch was delicious. This was our first time booking a private tour like this, and it was an amazing experience.

Three couples did this tour as an excursion from a Greek Isle cruise. In a trip filled with numerous highlights this experience really stood out. A successful tour requires a great destination augmented by an experienced guide and this excursion checked both boxes. Our guide, Tez, was amazing - informative, knowledgable, experienced and extremely personable. He provided the history of the area and an overview of the excavation of the ruins. We are a pretty inquisitive lot but he was able to answer all of our questions. Ephesus was one of the most remarkable places we have ever visited and Tez was able to provide insight and context to increase our appreciation of the site. The Terrace Houses, the library were highlights and, if you are offered the optional lunch, by all means take advantge of that.

We did not feel rushed and we were impressed with his communication skills and wealth of information about the region. Overall, we went back home extremely satisfied with our little tour around Ephesus.

This trip has been amazing our tour guide has been top notch. Ersan took us all around he was so kind and generous. The knowledge that he has was amazing. I can not thank him enough for taking us to a family owned art shop at the end of tour it will always be remembered.

Ozzy was the best. He was great from the pick up point at the dock and we literally were the very first ones into Ephesus. He gave an incredible and knowledgable tour of the entire place at our pace, we move a little faster. Our excursions was customizable so he took us to an incredible leather store to buy some things and we saw many other sites. The last thing we did was go to a carpet manufacturing area that was great and had a very good lunch outdoors. Could not have asked for a more relaxing tour and great tour guide. Thank you

This tour of Ephesus was perfect! Emre had so much knowledge of the places and artifacts we were seeing. We enjoyed the history and stories that he told us. He always made sure that we had the time that we wanted in each area and checked with us frequently to make sure all was good. We chose the option to see the terrace houses and were glad that we did. Seeing these homes from ancient times was amazing. He offered options to see pottery, rug making and/or leather shops, but made it clear that those were options and up to us. I asked to see the pottery because I was genuinely curious and we were so glad that we did. There was never pressure to make a purchase, only a pride of sharing the craft. After having seen the pottery, and eaten lunch where the rugs were made (absolutely delicious!) I asked if we could walk around the rug shop without the demonstration. Emre took us through and explained the process and watching and hearing about it was fascinating. Again no pressure to purchase and we were so glad we did it. Overall it was a fantastic day and we couldn’t have been any happier.

We had a wonderful private tour guide Ozeg. We visited St John’s Basilica, Mass at Mary’s house, Temple of Artemis and including Ephesus and the Terrace Houses. We were with a true historian who obviously loves her job and country. Very comfortable van and driver. It was a good value for the entire day we spent with them. We also felt more in control of our itinerary

Cem met us from the cruise terminal and walked with us to the driver giving us some information about the area and it's history along the way, we climbed into a comfortable air conditioned mini bus and with only one couple with us we had a spacious ride all day. He took us to Mary's house first giving us some more very interesting information to turkeys history on the way. After Mary's house he guided up thru Ephesus pointing out landmarks and histories to great detail, we chose to go into the terrace houses which was a great edition. He took great photos of us all along the way. Our last stop at the Temple of Artemis. A nice bit of free roaming and a history check and we were back in the bus for the end of our tour. I was worried when reading about Ephesus that most tours took you to a rug factory and they were hard sellers trying to get you to buy. Cem asked us if we wanted to with which we declined and there was no more mention which was great. We had a really good day out with Cem, he was engaging and knowledgeable without overloading you in the heat. Would definitely recommend. We only wish we didn't forget to tip as was too busy saying our goodbyes. The tour is 5*

Nedj is a truly excellent guide: knowledgeable, kind, careful, funny, thorough, thoughtful and obviously loves what he does. We felt comfortable immediately and that we were getting a good taste of the area, its history and culture, in a regrettably short time frame. He made us want to return. Stopped in the port of Kusadasi on a cruise and really did not know what to expect here. Well - this tour was so fantastic, I think it was my favorite port of our 11 day cruise. Our tour guide, Nejdet was simply the BEST. So knowledgeable & personable. He knew to get us to the house of Mary right away before the crowds. His tour was so informative. You will not be sorry if you book this excursion! And ask for Nejdet - he’s the best of the best.

We had a wonderful day with Nej on our tour of Ephesus, house of Virgin Mary and Church of St John. We had a delicious Turkish lunch and added activity of seeing how Turkish rugs are woven and opportunity to purchase a rug. It was a great day!! Thank you Nejdet Karaman!!

Inan was a wonderful guide for Ephesus, St. John’s Basilica, and Temple of Artemis was the perfect taste of Turkey. Inan took us to a traditional Turkish lunch and rug demonstration. The rug salesmen were not pushy like you see in a lot of reviews. The rug demonstration was interesting and those ladies work very quickly. If we are ever back we will do another through Curio Tours with Inan. I highly recommend.

Was an excellent snapshot of the Kusadasi, Ephesus, and immediate area. The history, culture, and views were interesting and exciting. Inan's tour of the area took about five hours and captured several of the highlight areas, which he also explained quite well. Some of the areas, like Ephesus and St. John's Basillica were busy, but that was to be expected and it wasn't difficult to get through. Everyone I met were friendly and informational and with Inan translating where needed, easy to communicate with. I hope to return again someday to experience western Turkey further.

The best of all tours in our trip

It was clear from the beginning that the tour guide wanted to keep the length of the tour as short as possible, unless it involved additional visiting shopping sites. We chose not the visit the Virgin Mary’s house, and went to the archeological museum instead. The tour guide was knowledgeable and showed use the main highlights in Ephesus, but his personality did not match well with our group. As represented the tour included all ticket costs and a good lunch. Overall the tour was okay, and not as high of a quality tour as compared to other private tours I have taken.

Very disappointing private tour. Our guide barely guided us. He would give a few basic facts, then stay behind in the shade while we explored the sites on our own. For a private tour, we expected the guide to actually walk with us, explain what we were seeing, and answer questions throughout the visit. Instead, it felt more like transportation with brief introductions at each stop. To make matters worse, the guide repeatedly used profane and inappropriate language, which made the experience even more uncomfortable and unprofessional. We specifically asked for a Christian guide to experience Apostle Paul’s journey in Ephesus. We felt rushed at each site and pressured to not take pictures. He would leave before us and we had to catch up with him at each store. Ephesus itself was amazing, but the guiding service was absolutely not what we paid for. I would not recommend this tour.

Ozge Was AMAZING! My kids loved her (held her hand the whole time) and she was so knowledgeable and friendly. We had a great day. The convenience of having our own private driver was amazing. We had space to spread out, didn’t have to worry about parking or anything. Truly a 10 out of 10 experience!! We also had a 2 year old and 4 year old, which can be a lot, she made the experience fun for all of us!

It was a great/amazing experience with them, I book for the following day on 29th of August with no problems, so easy to deal with. Our trip was amazing with had a great time. Our tour guide Füsun was so amazing and awesome, very knowledgeable, one of the best tour guide we've been with. Everything was a 5 star from the pick up time and place, to the van/transportation, to the great driver, to the places we've been and of course our tour guide Füsun. Thank you so much for that wonderful tour. Highly recommended to all travelling to Ephesus.
