Grand Hyatt Izmir Istinyepark

The best stay we had in Europe! This brand new hotel is well designed and beautiful. The breakfast is exceptional, with eggs cooked to order, and a full Turkish spread. Our room had a view of the Aegean sea and we could watch the car ferries crossing, which was very peaceful. The room itself was quite, large and comfortable. The shower had great water pressure and all amenities (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion). The restaurant (Faro 7) does good food and better cocktails. The hotel is located right next to a big, Western style shopping centre that has multiple restaurants and a supermarket. This mall is right next to both a metro and tram stop. Take the tram to the city centre for a beautiful waterfront view.

A Luxurious modern hotel with a scenic view located adjustabt to a high end large shopping mall and 600 meters from the metro and tram. The staf at reception, cleaning service, bell boys were all professional and polite. I would like to mention Burak at reception who handled our check in. He was warm and sincere in welcoming us and he also offered show us some of the hotel areas that we asked about. Last but not least ameneities were place in our rooms for our anniversary. Thank you!

The hotel is beautiful, and overall we enjoyed our stay. However, there were a few issues that affected our experience. When we arrived, the concierge took our car and parked it, but we then had to go to the parking area ourselves to collect our luggage, although the concierge did assist us. To reach our room, we had to leave the building and take two separate elevators, which was inconvenient, especially when carrying luggage. I also spoke with the reception manager about my concerns. Unfortunately, I felt that the conversation was not handled very well. He seemed to question me as though I had done something wrong, and he did not make eye contact while speaking to me. I found this a little disrespectful and not what I would expect from a manager in a hotel of this standard. To their credit, the hotel did send a letter and some nuts as a gesture, which was appreciated. However, I believe there is room for improvement in staff training, particularly in customer service, communication, and handling guest concerns in a more efficient and respectful manner.

Phenomenal hotel. Feels very luxurious. Service is excellent. Great amenities. We even had a chance to use their outdoor pool and sauna. Every detail is thought through. We don’t want to leave, but unfortunately have to.
