Rashid was an excellent tour guide. He was very polite, a skilled and confident driver, and cheerful throughout the journey. He made us feel completely comfortable and shared insightful stories about the beautiful landscape of Ghana, which made the trip even more enjoyable. He truly made the whole experience memorable. Thank you, Rashid.
Rashid gave us a great tour of the city. Highlights include a visit to Black Star Square and the history of both the Square and a tour inside and up to the roof of the Black Star Gate. A visit to the W.E.B Du Bois center is a must see, so much history. For us who are visiting from the US this part of his work in Ghana probably isn't well known, but nevertheless impressive.
The most amazing part of our tour was the knowledge of history shared by the Tory guide Koffe Benjamin
The entire trip was excellent, however, the W.E.B. Dubois Center was great for it's histrorical context. This is a trip every American should take, especially every African American!! Our guide Rashid was excellent, he stopped everywhere that mattered along the way. He was informative, professional, and very knowledgable. As an American we have a certain standard we are accustomed too, that this service met the standard 100%. This is an AAAAA+++++ service profider and comes highly recommeded!!! By the way, there is an area where you can shop, I would compare it to a swap meet, however, you have to go in with much confidence and NOT allow the locals to overwhelm you. Negotiate every price and stick too it. Be fair but firm. They are all polite, yet aggressive. Be equally aggressive.
Had an amazing tour with Hassan he went far and beyond to make sure that I get to see the hidden gems of Ghana. I would definitely book with Hassan again he was very patient, informative and a great guy.
Hassan the guide was wonderful! Very passionate about Accra! Would definitely recommend this tour for highlights of the city!
Hassan was great! Really provided in depth info on all the sights! Very patient and seemed passionate about what he was showing me. Highly reccommend!
I always like learning new things when going to different places, so I really loved this tour. We stopped by the WEB DuBois center. I am from the USA, but didn't know enough about W.E.B. DuBois' ties to Ghana. Also, I heard of Kwame Nkrumah, but to hear about some of his history and the history of Ghana and to see some of the historical artifacts was fascinating. The tour guide was knowledgeable about the history of Ghana and I had a great time.
The tour was very informative and thorough. I would definitely recommend if you come to visit Accra.
Our tour with Emmanuel was a great time! We covered a lot of ground, gained some insight into the history and culture of Ghana, and got some great food as well. Both the guide and driver were very accommodating, and were very friendly. Would highly recommend for travelers, families, couples, or anyone who wants to see the sights in Accra.
Driver and guide makes it ideal. Because one parks and the other doesn't have to focus on traffic. Not much to see in Accra, but the guide made it special.
Day started at 0900 for a day in Ghana. Had good indept trip visiting various Accra key points. A very good living experience learning Ghana culture and passed history. My tour guide was very knowledgeable in Ghana history and was very friendly and polite.
I had a great time on the tour! Hassan was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable about the city and history. He was also friendly and easy to talk to! This tour is a great way to get an overview of Accra, from historical monuments to the struggling area of Jamestown. I'm definitely glad I did it!
Hassan was a great tour guide. Very accommodating and friendly. Would definitely recommend to others. Great tour to do at the very beginning of your trip to get a general idea of what is in the area as well as getting a chance to learn about Ghanaian history and culture.
Ben was a great tour guide, we had already been to some of the places on the list and there was no problem switching the itinerary around. We learned so much about Ghanaian history and had a great day!
The Accra City Tour is just what you need to get acclimated to the city. This was our first tour of the trip and it was helpful to hear some of the history of Ghana and to orient ourselves around the city. The guides are very knowledgeable and will always answer your questions and make sure that you see all of the important things.
My first trip to Ghana and this was the very first tour during my trip. I’m glad it was! This tour was a great introduction to Accra. Ben is knowledgeable and fun. His energy kept us all interested and motivated on a hot day. Looking forward to my next trip to Ghana and to more tours with Ben.
My fiancee and I took this tour and had a great time. We learnt a lot about the history of Accra and Ghana and got to see some amazing sites and areas (including the Makola Markets, Jamestown, the W.E.B. Dubois museum). Our guide, Ben, was a great source of interesting historical information and good humour!
I had Benjamin as my guide, and he did an excellent job showing me the historically significant areas of Old Accra. I got to experience a large amount of different areas (Jamestown, the market and Nkrumah memorial) and learn about the history behind each sight. Highly recommended
We visited the W.E.B Du Bois Centre but we were like 50 minutes early. We would likely visit it next time we are in Accra. We visited the Makola market and also went to Jamestown before making our way to the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum/Museum, and the Cultural centre (where the Art Festival was in full swing). The Tour ended at the Black Star Square & Independence Park. We got to try out local delicacy - wugashi and also bole and groundnut while on the Tour. The Accra City Tour is one experience I recommend to visitors to Ghana. The Charlie Wote festival was in full swing at Jamestown and it was a lot of fun to take part in. There is still a lot to see in Accra, and so we shall definitely be back to continue from where we left off. Our Tour Guide from Tichama Tours was really awesome, as he showed us the various parts of Accra.
Quite exciting. It was an experience. We really had a good time on the Accra City tour on Thursday 22 August 2019. Thanks a lot to Tichama Tours. Mr & Mrs Isaac Omotunde.
Hassan will take you on a tour around the city, taking you to some of the iconic tourist stops but also to some of the lesser known areas, where tourists don't always venture. It was a great balance between history, art and crafts and a walk through Jamestown and the local community there. So glad I did it, it gave me new insights into the city, its history and its community
