Aburi Gardens,first Ever Cocoa Farm & Waterfalls Day Adventure

We really enjoyed the tour and had a great time! The pick-up went smoothly and everything was well organized. I was on a conference trip and didn't have much time to explore the country. The tour with Eben was absolutely amazing to get a snapshot of the country side beyond Accra. Eben is a great tour guide and took such good care of everyone on the trip. I learned a lot about the history, culture and plants in the area. The Aburi Botanical Garden was fantastic and learning about coco production and history was really interesting. I'm glad I didn't miss out on this experience and can highly recommend booking a tour with Eben.

This was an amazing trip through east Legon with a history lesson thrown in! Saw so may beautiful historical sight, from the mystical botanical garden with ancient bamboo, to its parasitic trees - trees that have literally been taken over by a weed to the point where you can actually ENTER the tree and view the skies from within it……fascinating stuff. WE also got to ee the beautiful waterfall, hidden in the middle of the woods – you can even opt for massages while taking in the view. The entire day was coordinated beautifully by Eben – such a kind generous soul – he really knew the region so well and made so much of an effort to ensure we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. He took pictures, lectured us in the history and made sure to look after the elderly members of our party, helping with walking stick and foldable chairs, even buying us fresh coconuts to refresh ourselves with. There was nothing too big or small for him to help with. Finally, he even helped negotiate a taxi to the airport – we had been quoted an outrageous price and he went out of his way to find us taxis that ended up being 20% of what we had been ruthlessly quoted by a greedy Driver and his unscrupulous coordinator! Adventurous stuff! :-) Anyway, Thanks Eben for an amazing day. Next time we’re in Ghana, we will make sure to take a tour of the west through you. And you can help us avoid **greedy** drivers who try to charge us GHS700 for a journey that eventually only took GHS100! Recommended by a frien who just visited. It was a great half-ish day tour! From on time pick-up to drop off Eben was warm and sharing history & little known facts. The driving leaves room for alot of conversation. Each part was lovely and the cocoa farm demo/tasting was cute, insightful, and yummy. My favorite part of the tour was the Assema Waterfalls, it was beautiful. Just enough water to splash around (not deep enough to dive) and standing under the falling water was refreshing! Eben snaps great pics throughout so dress cute for the gardens you can change after lol. Eben was super professional & can be super flexible and accommodating. He made sure I tried coconut water the Ghana way and had some great fufu (not included, I paid the restaurant in cedi’s). Overall a great eastern region tour. Wish I had booked him for other tours especially based on his historical knowledge.

The garden and waterfall were so beautiful and the cocoa farm was such a great learning experience. Hotel pickup and drop off are included and I felt safe as a solo woman traveler.

I toured the gardens, cocoa farm and Asenema falls as the Boti falls were closed. Moses was a great driver and guide who provided ample information about the sights , Accra and Ghana, including history and culture. The local guides at the gardens and farm were also great. I enjoyed the tour and recommend it.

Even is such a chill tour guide. He exceeded our expectations for sure. I def recommend him I had so much fun and the meal for lunch Eben recommended was fire!

Eben is literally a wealth of knowledge. We started the day at the Aburi Garden, we got to learn so much about the different plants and trees (even got to taste some), so cool! Then we did the cocoa farm, I never knew that Ghana was such a massive producer of Cocoa. We got to see a live demonstration of how they are harvested, dried, and prepared for manufacturing. We learned so much history about the guy that started the farm and how cool that 2 of the original trees planted back in the 1800s were still there producing. We then headed to the waterfall, and wow, it was so much fun! We got in, played in the water, and just soaked in all of God’s wonder. The entire trip, Eben is giving us historical and cultural context, was playing as our content creator (we got so many good pictures! This literally was the best icing on the cake), took us to the BEST local restaurant after, like the food was soooooo good (Ayede Pan). The ride felt safe for a family with young children, the trip was extraordinary, and Eben is literally so passionate about his work, you can’t help but have fun with him as your guide!

I had a fantastic experience with Eben at EEA Tours Ghana! This was my second tour with EEA Tours, and we visited the historical Tetteh Quarshie Cocoa Farm and the Aburi Gardens. I got the chance to taste the cocoa in various phases of production. Absolutely wonderful tour with Kwesi (guide) and Benjamin (driver)! We've had them for multiple tours and they are the best! It's an easy day trip with all the sights being close to each other. Kwesi made sure to keep us on schedule while also being flexible with time and our needs. It's certainly a good day trip to get some nature and relaxing moments, especially after diving into the slave history of Ghana on another day. Kwesi made sure everything ran smoothly and we never had to worry about any logistics such as transport or admission fees.

We had such a great time exploring Ghana with our guide. He took us to waterfalls, cocoa farms, botanical gardens, the slave castles, and a national park- every stop was amazing. He was really charismatic and fun, and made the whole trip feel easy and enjoyable. The car was spacious and air-conditioned, which helped a lot on longer drives. He even drove us from Tema to Busua Beach Resort. Honestly, we had so much fun and would highly recommend him!

Touring with Eben ​Walking through Aburi without a guide is like reading a book with the pages stuck together. The tour should have started at 9am but got delayed until 11am, during that time I sat at my hotel lobby waiting for the operator to send a message to me, but no form of communication occurred, after multiple attempts to reach out to the operator I learnt that the tour has been cancelled I did not get to see the waterfall since it was my last day in Ghana.

We had two really amazing tours with Eben. He took us to such cool places that we would never have discovered without him. He brought us to authentic food spots and catered to all of our wishes.
