I was there for a conference and therefore cannot comment on the rooms. However, the amenities are deteriorating. The food at the restaurant was tasty as previous, but what was absent were the customers who visited for buffets during their lunch breaks.
Poor service especialy for evening dinner, kitchen took over 1 hour to prepare club sandwiches
I was at the Royal Nick a few days back for a Seminar. First of all the positives. The food was excellent. Both for breakfast and in the Dining Room for lunch. Negatives? The lifts weren't working. I have a bad knee and getting to the first floor was painful. Internet wasn't adequate for the number of people but I believe that may have been miscommunication. The big negative is the state of the Swimming Pool area. A few years back (pre 2020) it was a smashing area and lovely for a beer. Then they shut it to refurbish it and here we are 6 years later and it is still a building site. It is the most abysmally managed refurbishment I've ever seen. I can't comment on the current prices for rooms but there are nearby hotels with similar facilities that are probably cheaper to stay in. It is sad to see it living on its reputation from years ago because it was a lovely hotel.
Although it was a good hotel the design paid little attention to details. Such as having to get up to switch off the light. Once in bed. No two way switch by the bed side. Shower handle only outside the sliding door. Once in the shower with wet hands difficult to open the glass door. The place has potential for excellence
I’ve been staying at Royal Nick Hotel in Tema, Ghana for the past few years, and I’m truly impressed with the marked improvements in every aspect. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained, providing a very comfortable stay.
The staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile. The food quality is consistently good, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that Indian food is available on request, which is a big plus for me.
The hotel is very affordable and offers great value for money. It’s clear that they are committed to enhancing the guest experience, and I look forward to many more stays here. Highly recommended!
