Acapulco City Tour

Our guided tour was very informative, especially when it came to the history of Acapulco. Our guide shared a lot of interesting information, and we stopped at several beautiful locations with amazing views that were perfect for taking pictures. We also got to see the famous Acapulco cliff divers. Personally, I didn’t think the cliff diving was anything too special to watch, but it was still nice to experience something Acapulco is well known for. We also visited a few historic hotels and learned more about their history and significance to the city. Overall, it was a nice way to see Acapulco, learn about its history, and visit some beautiful spots around the city.

Our driver was incredibly friendly, professional, and informative throughout the entire trip. He made us feel comfortable from the start and shared interesting facts along the way. We especially appreciated that he never made us feel like a bother when we asked him to take photos for us—he was more than happy to help. His positive attitude and excellent customer service made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

The best 2026 guides and tour !

Our tour guide Carlos curated the perfect tour for our family of 5- 3 kids ages 6-12. He had a welcome sign for us and was waiting right when we exited. Great communication with us before to make sure of flight details. He had a big suburban/expedition truck that fit all 5 of my family and luggage just fine and took us on a tour to release baby sea turtles on the beach. It was a great educational moment and the kids favorite part. After we went to the crocodile farm more in the remote/village area of Acapulco. We got to see huge crocodiles and hold a baby one! We ate some local ice cream at the farm called paletas and it was so tasty! After, we went to a local restaurant that was on the river and had local fresh made food including the fish that was caught that morning! After lunch, we went on a boat ride right out of the restaurant and got to see many local birds and herons. What a sight! And spoiled with a fresh mud facial from the waters. Hands down the best tour and tour guide! Thank you so much Carlos for your hospitality!

Came on time to pick me up for the city tour Took me to the beautiful places in Acapulco Helped with the local people as my spanish is not good. Very Nice person. I highly recommend.

Carlos is wonderful! I booked him originally for just an airport transfer with a quick stop at Walmart, but we then decided to book his Acapulco city tour. He is very knowledgeable and seems to enjoy sharing that with other people. He provided yummy margaritas and cerveza. He also knew all the best spots for pictures and told us where to stand while he took pictures of us with my phone. I personally loved just driving around looking at the city, but he also took us to the chapel on the hill, shared fun facts about some of the old glamorous houses and hotels, took us to a little market to shop and made us a reservation at La Perla for dinner and the cliff diving show. At the end of the night he told me to let him know when we needed to be back at the airport and he would pick us up again for a transfer, which of course I did. It was nice to see a familiar face throughout the week. I would happily give him a call when we visit again.

Carlos was extraordinary in every way. He had a comfortable Suburban, drinks, and is an expert in his knowledge of Aculpulco.

Our guide was Carlos and he was fabulous! He drove us to all the sights in old and new Acapulco and timed our arrivals perfectly to avoid the tourist buses. We visited the Flamingo hotel, Diego Riveras mosaic murals, hotel El Monte, a craft market, the Diamonte district and the Chapel of Peace high on the mountain and San Diego Fort. His knowledge was expansive and he has a great, warm personality. He took time to take pictures of us and also took extra time to help us find a postcard. Highly recommend this tour and Carlos.♥️

Carlos was great, put an individual tour together, organised a special entry at the cliff jumpers before official new years dinner and managed perfectly through heavy traffic. we loved the flamingo hotel and other gidden gems and views. strongly recommended !

Absolutely amazing top-notch service! I cannot express enough gratitude for Carlos in meeting all of our vacation needs from transportation from the the airport and back, taking us to the grocery store, all of our tours were with Carlos and Acapulco tours and transfer, and one night we even just messaged him for advice for dinner and not only did he give us a reference to one of the best seafood dinner experiences we could’ve ever had in Acapulco but he also picked us up and took us back. Something that I did not schedule nor pre-planned with him. Acapulco tours and transfer will be the only company I refer to anyone visiting Acapulco. Side note, he makes the best margaritas ever!! He is extremely knowledgeable of the history and places In this beautiful city and as an educator I loved all the teachings he gave us, he also took photos for us and they are our absolute favorites. Our driver was excellent. Our guide was conversant and we visited the Chapel Of Peace, the Flamingo Hotel, and saw the La Quebrada Cliff Divers. The stop at the downtown 'market' was not great; very cheap merchandise and limited selections. A different marketplace would have been much better. Had to pay admission to go down to the viewing place for the cliff diving. Mario was a fair guide. A visit to the Cathedral downtown would have been a nice stop. Overall, it was an okay day.

This is the most comfortable way to see the most interesting features of BEAUTIFUL Acapulco. The driver Carlos is knowledgeable, kind, helpful and friendly. He is on-time and is very accommodating. He selects amazing highlights of the city and we took TWO tours. He even stopped at the market so we could get water and food for the hotel kitchenette. We also used this service for airport transfer. HIGHLY REOMMEND...150% :)

Excursion was organised well. Visited all the places on itinerary. The ‘flea market’ a small set of stores selling to tourists. Lucky enough to be the only two people in the tour so a private tour in effect. Guide was nice.

Excellent service. The guide (born and raised in Acapulco) makes your journey so entertaining by explaining the history of the city. You visit the main POI of Acapulco.

Was a good tour where we saw most of the main sights and a lot of good viewing points. The bay is beautiful of course. The church with the big cross that you can see from everywhere and the diving were particularly good. Carlos is very helpful with other tips about what to do and where to eat. The margaritas were very welcome.

Carlos gave us a great tour of Acapulco, seeing all the main sights and views. We thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the divers and the Cross. It was very hot and the drinks, particularly the margaritas were very welcome. We also did the lagoon tour and went to the mescal distillery, both good too. Carlos organised both our transfers and was very timely and has a comfortable vehicle. He gave us very good restaurant and transport tips and has great knowledge of Acapulco.

Our guide Carlos knew a lot of history about the city and everything we saw. It was great and he speaks great English. We will use him again when we visit Acapulco

We had a wonderful tour with Carlos! The margaritas were delicious, his car was very comfortable, and we learned so much about Acapulco! Carlos picked us up at our hotel and took us on a wonderful tour of beautiful Acapulco, taking us to places we would never have found on our own. We especially enjoyed watching the famous Cliff Divers! Carlos was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly, going above and beyond to make our experience interesting and memorable, even acting as our personal photographer! Fantastic Tour, would highly recommend this. We arrived on our Cruise Ship and were met at the Port as arranged by Alejandro Nino (Alex). He was very knowledgeable and was able to taylor our tour to suit us, we decided we didn't want lunch but would love to taste the local coffee, so immediately took us to a local coffee shop that the locals use. He was professional, polite and took great care to ensure that we saw as much of Acapulco as possible within our time restraints. Absolutely superb

Carlos Allegria is an EXCELLENT tour guide! We booked an all-day sightseeing tour with him and he picked us up in his very comfortable Ford Expedition, and offered us drinks along the way. He took us to the Capilla de la Paz (Chapel of Peace), a famous old Hollywood hotel (called Los Flamingos) with a stunning view of old town Acapulco, saw the famous La Quabreda cliff-divers and a really nice flea market. He told us many interesting facts about the famous people who lived there and about Acapulco in general. We even had a local meal (pozole) at a family restaurant with Carlos too…sooo delicious!! The San Diego Fort Museum was closed for renovations unfortunately, so we’ll have to see that next time. We enjoyed our day with Carlos so much, that we booked another day trip with him - hiking and snorkeling to La Roqueta Island! Fabulous day again!! Carlos’ friend, Juan (also very friendly and knowledgeable) joined us as a guide for La Roqueta Island, and he was FULL of more interesting information about Acapulco and the island. We could not have asked for two better guides and genuinely nice people to show us around, and make our Acapulco experience the very best! Also, Carlos recommended, booked our reservations and drove us to a wonderful Argentinian restaurant one evening, for a very memorable experience with an exceptional dinner overlooking the Acapulco Bay, for sunset and evening lights of this wonderful city. And at the end of our trip, he gave us an early morning ride to the Acapulco airport. Thank you so much for everything Carlos! We will be back to Acapulco and see you again, because of the exceptional experiences you created for us. You are truly THE BEST!! ❤️

We had a great experience with our wonderful tour guide Carlos. He is friendly, professional and very well -informed. Our private tour for two was tailored to our preferences. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Carlos and highly recommend him.

Carlos communicated well with us prior to the tour. He greeted us at the cruise exit gate with the sign he had prepared. We had his email address and cell number prior to meeting him and used that to confirm the day of the tour. The air was already on in the clean and comfortable Ford Navigator Max. We were introduced to another couple from the ship who were also taking this tour. My husband uses a walker which Carlos stored and retrieved from the trunk at each stop. He was diligent to park as close as possible to the entrance at our stops and direct Larry to ramps that would make his walk easier. On our way to the Chapel of Peace we learned much about the history and development of Acapulco, including famous stars from the 60s Ana’s entrepreneurs today. There is no better view of the bay and the cruise ship than the view from the chapel! It is spectacular! And Carlos knew just where to have us stand or sit to make photos. The air was not clear due to pollution from a festival a few days earlier and common haze, but that was not something Carlos to manage. Lol. We watched the cliff divers from a comfortable location that Larry was able to get to using ramps. We visited a market run buy friends of Carlos. The prices and negotiations were good and whenI compared these items to others online and in shops by the ship, I paid less than they were asking. We had lunch at a local restaurant on the water. Carlos recommended the steak and shrimp combo or kebab. The food was delicious. We did not get sick and we watched the World Cup with the people there. Carlos took great care of us! We were back to the ship, well satisfied with our day. Recommend him highly.

Fun day with our driver Carlos. Very detailed and informative. Drinks in his cooler for the day trip. Small museum was interesting of past famous people who stayed there. Cliff diving was cool, just long wait for the actual show & it was hot outside. Strwet food smelled so good, everyone is super friendly. Restaurant was nice, enjoyed seeing different parts of the bay. The chapel was beautiful. Great views.

Carlos was by far the highlight of our visit to Acapulco. I was traveling with two teenagers. carlos was able to listen to their conversation and make tailored recommendations for trips that would keep our family entertained, Every trip we did (ATVs, beach, Jet Skiing, Island Tour, City Tour, snorkeling, airport transport, Turtle rescue) was well organized and informative. I always felt very safe and the kids had a blast. It was fantastic to be able to sit back and enjoy vacation and let somebody else deal with the logistics of day trips. Absolutely the best money I spent on this vacation.

We spent two weeks in Acapulco and really enjoyed having Carlos Alegria as our guide. He was waiting for us at the airport with a sign with our names on it when we arrived in Acapulco. He stopped at Walmart so we could get groceries and waited for us on our way to the hotel. He offered us beverages and was just so helpful. We did the City Tour and the Eco Tour with him. He was very knowlegeable and we learned much about the culture from him. At each place that we went Carlos would take very nice pictures of us with our camera. On each excursion he stopped at the store so we could pick up some needed items. Carlos was always very punctual when he would pick us up. I would highly recommend Carlos and will definitely contact him on our next trip to Acapulco.

We spent a week in Acapulco and Carlos took us on three excursions while we were there. It was AMAZING!! He catered everything for my family. There were 5 adults, 1 teenager, and a 2yr old. We traveled in a beautiful suburban, always felt safe, and he always had a cooler full of drinks for us. He also did our airport transfers. We visited the island, hiked to the lighthouse, snorkeled, and ate at the Fantasy Island restaurant. What a great day. He hauled drinks on the hike for all of us, made sure we all had snorkel gear that fit us, had a kayak for the baby to sit in while we snorkeled, translated everything for us for lunch so we got exactly what we wanted. He had a private guide that went into the water with us snorkeling that took us to see fish, we held a sea urchin, puffer fish, and star fish. My boys loved it! We took a half day tour with Carlos to the Chapel of Peace where he told us of the history behind this sacred place. The best view of the bay is from the chapel. We also saw the cliff divers. He told us exactly where to stand to see the best view, supplied us with umbrellas to block the sun and provided waters. He then took us through the downtown markets where the locals shop and we were able to pick up any souvenirs we wanted. He made sure everyone took very good care of us. My son and I took another half day tour with Carlos and visited the turtle camp where we learned about the struggling start of life for these turtles and then were able to release a baby turtle out onto the beach into the water. We also visited the crocodile sanctuary where we drank fresh coconut milk, held a small crocodile, and learned about the rehabilitation of these injured creatures. Great day! Carlos was so friendly, dependable, and willing to create any experience we wanted to have in Acapulco. He listened to our wants and needs, and provided us with such great memories. We learned so much from him, laughed, and had such a great time. My family will always remember him and now consider him a friend.
