Mario was an excellent guide, the excursion visited many sites. only disappointment was there was too many people at the cliff divers and I couldn't see the divers hit the water.

I was surprised that I was booked privately, but I suppose the price reflected that when booking the group tour. So that was a nice surprise.. but the tour agent made me find him. Didn't go to the address I provided.. and then it was 5 hours not 6. I still had a good time, and without having seen a whole lot of acapulco (and staying south) it was nice to get a solid overview of the city. I still haven't recieved the pictures I was promised.
Our day in Acapulco was awesome, the tour picked us up directly at the cruise terminal and away we went. Alex was very knowledgeable about Acapulo and ensured we had a great experience, from the turtle release to the cliff divers. The tour provides a great overview of the different locations, vantage points and sights which Acapulco has to offer as well as some of its history including some of the rich and famous people who frequent Acapulco both past and present. A great day for the entire family.
Was a great trip, very informative and enjoyable. Tour guide was helpful and kept us all fully informed
Arturro is a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable and passionate. I would highly recommend this tour☀️☀️
Fabulous trip. Rudi and Oscar went over and above to make our trip so special. Rudi so knowledgeable and told us so much about Mexico. Can’t believe we covered as much as we did. Would highly recommend this trip.
Excellent guide, very knowledgeable, small group of 8 was nice, covered all the highlights, good driver and nice comfortable van
My wife and I took the 6 hour tour! It was relaxing, fabulous and we learned of many historic events that helped shape Acapulco into what it is today. The people are so kind and we felt safe during the whole trip! Acapulco is safe - do not believe the media! As a child I have always had Acapulco on my bucket list! Thank you Mario you showed me and my wife parts of the town we never would had seen if it we not for you! Muchas Gracias from Texas! And Viva Acapulco!
Not only did my wife and I see the attractions listed on your itinerary! We were taken to areas we would not even have been able to get to otherwise. Seeing Acapulco has always been a dream of mine since the late sixties! Thank you Jose! You gave us a wonderful day getting to know the culture and history of the Pearl of Mexico!
Jesus and Mario are excellent tour guides. The knowledge they shared with us was priceless. They were very accommodating.
Rudy and Alphonse were awesome travel guides. This was my first time visiting Acapulco but my third visit to Mexico this summer even during a pandemic. They were knowledgeable, professional and timely. They made the tour very educational and fun. It was a great day. I have traveled the world and visited over 50 different countries and 100's of cities. Clearly Acapulco is a world-class city. I highly recommend Rudy and Alphonso. Gracias
We just wanted say what a fabulous day we had with our guide Rudy yesterday. He was friendly, considerate, kind and very organised and punctual. His knowledge of Acapulco is amazing and he knows the city inside out. The baby turtle release was a very special part of the tour and it’s something my sister and I will never forget. The divers were spectacular and the Chapel of Peace was serene with a stunning view over the whole city. Rudy even stopped off for an impromptu tour of the fresh food market when I asked him to. I’m a chef and I love seeing food markets! We can’t recommend Rudy and his side kick Santiago enough. Our tour was brilliant and we hope everyone books it if and when they come down to Acapulco. Thanks Rudy! Alison and Laura. Australia
It was a interesting city tour with 2 experienced city guides. Highlights were the cliff divers and the turtle release. Emotional moments. We got a lot of insights into the city life, the locations and the culture with enough flexibility to our own needs and interests. Recommandable tour.
The tour was great and Rudy was amazing. The tour included many sites but my favorite was experiencing the market. He took us into the local's market where we sat and sampled all kinds of authentic foods and drinks and even treated us ladies to a fan. He is extremely knowledgeable about historic and current events and shares this with you freely as well as answers your questions. The only disappointing portion of the tour which Rudy had NO CONTROL over was there weren't any baby turtles to release the day of our tour. He still took us to the camp so we could see the operation. He also called the following day and volunteered to come back to our hotel (free of charge) and pick us up with another group and take us that day to take part in the turtle release. Unfortunately, we couldn't as we were flying out that day. Bottom line.......TAKE THIS TOUR......you won't be disappointed!
My wife & I were a bit worried that the tour operator might not come to pick us up at the hotel we stayed. On the day of the tour, we asked the hotel front desk to call the tour operator to confirm if they were really coming to pick us up. Finally at 8:45am, we were greeted by Mario in our hotel lobby. That was the only worry we had for the arrangement. Mario spoke perfect English & he was very knowledgeable tour guide! I was amazed by his profession. It was like a private tour as we were the only 2 in the tour. He first took us to the other side of Acapulco. On the way there was a spot to take the panoramic view of the city. He took us to the beach where we had a chance to release Golfina turtles. Then he took us to the Chapel of Peace, Marketplace, Cliff Divers(La Quebrada show), Los Flamingos Hotel, Diego Rivera's house. He even took us to his boss Rudy's house to see the full panoramic view of the city. Mario took lots of pictures from his cell phone. And he also helped us to take pictures with our phones. The tour was concluded at ~2:30pm. Mario took my email address. he said he would send me the pictures that he took. I have no issues but highly recommend this tour to anyone who hasn't yet joined any local tour in Acapulco. A week later I did received an email from Rudy with the link to retrieve the photos that Mario took at the tour. Another surprise: there was a customized video with all the places we visited in the tour! I was extremely pleased! Thanks Rudy & Mario!
My husband suggested to have 1/2 day city tour. I didn’t want to go at the beginning bcoz I didn’t like the idea of have turtle release as commercial. End up I changed my mind and joined the trip. It was 1/2 day trip. Certified guide, Mario, came to our hotel with the sign of our name. He started to talk about acapulco after we got on his car. Long story short, it was an eye open 1/2 day tour I ever have in mexico. Mario was very knowledgeable. He explained all the questions we had. Especially when he took us to the turtle camp. I was speechless. A family style organization carried an important mission. I thought it was very commercial style but end up it touched my heart really. This short visit gave me a lot of insight about environment and our action towards it. During the trip, Mario kept taking pictures of us. I didn’t know why but I didn’t bother to ask. Near the end of the tour, he told me that he would send the pictures back to us. It was very nice to share this with visitors. Also thank you the boss(sorry forgot the name, Rody?) he was following up for us from the beginning to the end. Thank for the tour.
I stayed in Acapulco for 4 days and decided to see the city with the help of Tour By Van booked through Viator. My tour guide Mario was punctual and very accommodating. He took me throughout the City and provided me with the history of Acapulco along with some interesting information you cannot find in your history books. I give this tour company an A+. My tour exceeded my expectations!
Rudy, Rodolfo, picked my sister and I up from our hotel on time. There was a little confusion on where we were supposed to meet, but it was settled quickly and we were off. There were 2 other guests on the tour, but because they also spoke English, Rudy gave the tour in English. We started at the turtle release and it was very beautiful. I didn't expect much from this stop, but it was surprisingly satisfying and a highlight for me. From there we proceeded on the tour to the more affluent part of town and looked at some of the amazing homes of the wealthy along with some breathtaking views of the city. Our second stop was the Chapel of Peace, also very tranquil with beautiful views. Our final stop, after a lengthy tour around the city's various neighborhoods, was the cliff diving. Again, very worthwhile. Altogether, the tour was excellent and the commentary and attention by Rudy was great. I would definitely recommend it. PS. Rudy very thoughtfully took pictures of use at each of the stops. He took our e-mail and said he would share the photos. I trust that he will, but as of yet we haven't received them.
Overall: - Highly recommend this tour & tour operator. Good customer service. - Friendly polite, interesting, bilingual (my guide was fluent in English & Spanish) guides. I had Jose as my guide. Rudy confirmed my pickup location the night before. Jose arrived at my hotel early for my 9AM pickup. We visited the following locations: - Lookout point for Puerto Marquez - Puerto Marquez lagoon - Turtle Campground & baby turtle release - Chapel of the Peace walkthrough - Acapulco local market tour plus a stop for gorditas - La Quebrada show at Hotel Mirador - Los Flamingos Hotel - Diego Rivera´s house - Back to hotel (around 2:30 to 3pm, depending on traffic conditions) Pros - Many photo opportunities! Jose is a seasoned photographer and constantly offered to take photos of me at every tour stop. - Jose is very knowledgable about Acapulco´s history and I enjoyed speaking with him. - You get to see a lot of Acapulco in a day, including the day markets, which are a bit of a drive from the shoreline hotel areas. - The turtle campground and baby turtle release is a once in a lifetime opportunity. The project owners had dozens of baby turtles that were only hours old ready for release. Check out the other animals on the property as well - most are friendly. Good to Know: - Your tour guide will ask to take your photo on your own devices AND his or her device. Toward the end of your tour, the tour guide will ask for your email address so that Rudy can email you a video montage of your day trip. You can also just ask to be emailed all of the photos. - Bring extra water & apply SPF for the tour. More often than not, your tour day will be very sunny and you will be outside for about 70% of the tour. - Wear comfortable shoes.
My wife and I really enjoyed holding baby turtles and sending them on their journey to the sea. We took endless pictures of the cliff divers with our cell phones. Great lunch at the seaside restaurant and shopping were the best way to experience the local area.
Got picked up right on time. The guide was very helpful and offered lot of information about was I was going to see and the overall highlights of what I was watching along the way.. the tour was literally all for me!! Highly recommended!!!
Thanks Rudy for an amazing tour on Feb. 26th. You were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful as we saw this beautiful city. The turtle sanctuary was a real highlight and should not be missed. Great job and thank you again.
Rudy picked us up off the ship at the nominated meeting point and we set off first to the Turtle Farm which was interesting as it has many animals here. Showed us how they gather the turtle eggs and how they are incubated. We were given two baby turtles each and took them to the waters edge after explanation and released them where they headed to the sea and immediately swam when they entered the water. Interesting projects here to help other animals etc. Then went up to the Chapel of Peace with great views over Acapulco and good commentary with lots of local information through the day. Lots of amazing houses to see along the way. Then went to see the Cliff Divers and Rudy gave us great seats with views of all the dives by the young cliff divers. The height and distance to dive out over the rocks is a amazing. Then did some more touring around the city to see many of the areas and then for lunch at a pleasant restaurant as a group. Really the best tour of Acapulco in a group of 14 against the ships tour with around 40 on board. Great tour and real value with a great knowledgeable tour guide. Highly recommended when on a cruise ship in Acapulco.

This was a tour I will never forget. The tour guides were extremely knowledgeable about not only the main sites but about many aspects of Acapulco. They also made the tour a lot of fun and included a lot more experiences in the tour than was advertised. This was an excellent experience.

The van was really crowded. Need to get a bigger van if that many people are going to be booked The tour was great. It would have been nice to trim it down to about 5 hours. The guide was very knowledgable and the driver was great.

The most important thing for any tour in a foreign country is a guide that thoroughly understands the culture of the location and the culture of its guests. Rudy spent the entire day ensuring that each one of his guests were safe, entertained, and comfortable. His respectful relationship and interactions with the locals in each location was a testament to the type of person and guide that he is. He is genuinely proud of his city and helped us to embrace many of the things that, as Americans, we may have been afraid to see or understand. His detailed knowledge and entertaining delivery of information was very engaging. We got the added benefit of a second guide, Beto, who ably assisted with our group and he and Rudy handed-off responsibility of meeting the needs of diverse guests. They allowed us to choose how adventurous or how safe we wanted to be. The walking tour through the market was a once-in-a-lifetime eyeful of the true Acapulco culture. It was a fast walk through a catacomb of dozens and dozens of vendors with every imaginable ware. It is not a shopping tour - so don't expect to buy souvenirs here it is a cultural tour that you will likely not see from any other guide. Again, Rudy's relationship with many of the vendors, including a vendor where we stopped and ate a freshly made gordita, was an essential part of this tour's success. He lives and runs a business in the area and his connections with the community made us feel safe throughout our trip. He offered an honest and genuine depiction of life in Acapulco, both good and bad. Rudy, with Beto's assistance, is THE guide to show you the multi-dimensions of Acapulco.

We had an excited time, starting with the baby sea turtle release. We each got to hold two baby sea turtles, hold them high, name them, and wish them well as we set them on the sand and watched them find their way into the big ocean. We then went to the Chapel of Peace the first quiet place in all of Acapulco :, a tour of the wealthy, middle class, and poor neighborhoods, a walk through the markets, and a front row seat for the cliff divers. We paid a little extra got a seat in the restaurant to watch the cliff divers in order to get some shade and enjoy a cold drink - it was a great view. Lunch at La Cabana was also delicious and the staff were very attentive and appreciative.

We would not hesitate to recommend this tour. Our group opted not to stop for shopping at the end of our trip and, throughout the day, Rudy did not pressure us to do anything that we did not want to do. We feel much better about safer in Acapulco because of this tour.

This is a fabulous tour. Our guide Rudy was very informative. The baby turtle release was the highlight for me. We also enjoyed the divers, the neighbourhood tours and the local market. Excellent value for our money.

The Tour was great and was even better with the awesome tour guides Rudy and Santiago who really gave us a great historical background about Acapulco. Rudy explained to us the fascinating history of the Cliff Divers of La Quebrada, the Church on top of the hill, the baby turtle release and the Mercado. He really held our interests with the historical aspects and then took pictures of the group at each site we visited and shared the video on youtube which I felt I got my money worth plus some. I will definitely recommend them for anyone going to Acapulco and looking for something to do. My trip was wonderful!

This tour was awesome. My 7 yr old son loved the turtle release. Jose and Alex's knowledge of Acapulco is unbelievable. They take you to areas that are in addition to what is listed here. They are very kind. They make a video of the morning and emailed it to me. Wonderful people wonderful tour!

An excellent choice for a well-organized tour of Acapulco’s most emblematic places with a friendly, very professional Francophone guide who easily adapts to the pace and wishes of his clients. I recommend it without any hesitation.
Mario was very friendly, he was at the right time very punctual, he explained in detail everything we asked him. The tour very well organized and if we would do it again.
We had a great time releasing baby turtles, sightseeing in the city of Acapulco and diving show. We had guides in both English and Spanish, so our group enjoyed it very clearly.
Aangename en rustige zonder shopping verplichting daguitstap. Veel gezien zonder push. Gids heeft veel info gegeven. Zeker een aanrader!
My tour was "particular" and excellent. On the scheduled day only I had requested a guide in Spanish, so I made the tour only with guide (José Mario), a great Cover! Meeting all Acapulco was amazing. A walk that was worth it!
