The pickup point was just beyond the port exit. It was secure and the tourist police were available to provide information. We were upsold 2 seated tickets for $30 cash with one drink each for the diving show. It was a good location and in a shaded spot. That information should have been provided. The commentary while driving the city of Acapulco was interesting but difficult to see from the van. We stopped two times to get out and walk for photos.

Great guide (Malou) and city information (good). We had to call to get pickup location (bad). When you require a MINIMUM number of characters I will stop giving my honest feedback.
Tour guide was brilliant. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip. He wss very informative and brought us to many interesting places. Thd views of the bay werd spectacular!
Overall the content of the tour was fine. A bit disorganized and felt overcrowded in the bus. The problem was the operator I guess had oversold the tour and had several people on the tour that spoke little or no English. Normally not an issue but he spent half to over half the time speaking in solely Spanish to take care of these few guests while the other 12-15 of us had no idea what was being said. I speak a little Spanish so I could tell he was leaving out certain details for one or both groups. This was sold as an English tour. I can appreciate trying to accommodate people but not at the expense of the other guests.
I love everything about the process easy and good in progress
There were pluses and minuses for this tour. The van was new, although surprisingly cramped for those above average height. The guide was informative and the driver careful. We enjoyed the sights and cliff divers but would have preferred more visits to historical places, like the fort, rather than strolling around the downtown area unguided, which we could have done by ourselves. The pickup was messy being 10AM rather than the advised 9:30AM. We opted to view the cliff divers from the Mirador restaurant. This provided an excellent view of the divers but we were essentially forgotten about as we entered the restaurant. So lots of potential but the misses took the edge off the tour.
Got a good general overview of the city. Pay the extra for the drink and show as worth it otherwise standing in the open sun to see the divers.
Rudy was an excellent guide. He took his places that the cruise tour never got to see. The cliff divers were amazing and we would recommend the tour.
Amazing experience. The turtle release was the highlight. Tour guide was very knowledgeable. Front row seats to see Cliff Divers
It is safe, moderate walking with an excellent guide who is very knowledgeable and ready to answer all questions. Beautiful scenery, ample rest room stops. The divers are magnificent! Well worth the effort and cost! The cost is less than those booked thru cruise lines.
The cliff divers were a must see when visiting Acapulco. Our tour guide took us on a tour of the market where the locals buy their food. Very interesting. Your guide, Rudy, was very knowledgeable and very friendly.
Great way to spend my Birthday! I wanted something unique to remember the day and ACAPULCO ! This tour made memorable. Our guide was on time and waiting at port as soon as we came out of the gateway. We got underway very quickly and had a great drive and explanation through the marketplace and neighborhoods of the working class. We then headed to the south shore and the higher rent areas - seeing some beautiful homes and resorts, the Chapel of Peace, Diana Statue and Las Brisas. Then off to the famous cliff divers show where we had front row seating, a perfect vantage point. We wrapped at the Diego Rivera mural. Our guide Rudy went above and beyond to provide us with an amazing comprehensive tour and followed up with photos and a drone video he took for us! My only comment is we expected a van to take our whole group of 8 together. We wanted to spend all the time together. Rudy and Mario had 2 separate vehicles and we had to split into a group of 3 and 5, which was not ideal . We also found we got 2 different guided tours when we later compared notes. Since we were doing as a birthday outing together we really wanted to have the time together. Only negative comment I have.
Knowledgeable tour guide and a tour worth taking. We saw areas that we never would have seen on our own. Particularly enjoyed seeing the huge market area where the local residents shop. The views from the top of the hill where the cross is were amazing.
Great tour and overview of city. Love when you have knowledgeable energetic guides who really go above and beyond to make your time memorable! Rudy definitely does that!!!
Amazing tour of acapulco. Mario and Malu were very knowledgeable and patient with us. We were able to take our time getting around and felt very safe.
Roger and Mario were great! They took us through the city, the markets and the cliff divers and educated us on so much culture. I highly recommend this tour!
Mario was a wonderful tour guide and driver! I saw so many sights in Acapulco in 4 hours, Diamanté, Chapel of Peace, through suburbs, to a bakery and through a market. Then we went to see the La Quebrada Cliff Divers who were superb, then to see Diego Rivera's mural, and finally past Playa Caleta. Plenty of photo opportunities and Mario is very knowledgeable.
Rudy and Temo were amazing! They took us to see the famous views as well as the various neighborhoods to see how the locals live. The van was top notch with air conditioning. The experience was with a small group which allowed more time in the different places.
Malu was a very informative guide, taught us a lot about Acapulco and its history. She also told us about the hurricane destruction and how Acapulco is slowly repairing the damage. We also liked the drive through the local market and the ability to look at the divers in the share of the hotel. Thank you.
We visited Acapulco on a cruise, this excursion was an excellent way to see the city . Our guide Muro made it a special day showing us Acapulco , explaining all the sights and making sure that we were comfortable and safe . The cliff divers where the highlight . A lovely day which we certainly recommend .
Malu was a superb guide, showing us diverse parts of Acapulco. We learned a lot , saw the divers from the shade of the hotel, did not need to climb the stairs up or down in the heat and still saw everything very clearly. A very enjoyable day.
We loved the idea of a small group in a van which enabled us to travel up to the top with the cross and chapel with incredible views. Malu was the guide and incooperated sights from the local market driven to the wealthy areas. Considering the limitation of four hours to visit Acapulco, I would recommend this small groups tour picked up just outside the ship
I visited Acapulco for a few days and look for short trip to know the best of Acapulco. Mario attended my wife and me very nice. The divers´s show was amazing, brave men climbing the mountain to jump off the cliff.
We had a great experience with Malú our guide. She was super informative and showed us everything and then some of what we wanted to see in Acapulco. Picked us up at our hotel and proceeded to drive us around the hills and the city. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend this 4 hour tour around Acapulco especially if it your first time. It was awesome! Also, the cliff divers were amazing during the day, they also have night diving! Next time we may do that but we loved the day diving as you could see so well from you special spot at the restaurant!
The tour was amazing with beautiful views, an extremely accommodating tour guide, and I learned so much about Acapulco! I highly recommend to anyone that comes to visit the city!
It was just the two of us, so it ended up being compatible to a private tour. Our tour guide was great, very professional, knowledgeable, and very personable. He shared a great deal of information pertaining to the locations visited in Acapulco. Highly recommended, tour was just the right amount of time.
We had the best tour guide Jesus Took us to all points of interest Then we had a reserved table viewing the divers Amazing At must tour to take
This tour hit on the key sights I wanted to see in Acapulco. The tour guides, Mario and Jesus, were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I would highly recommend this as a great way to see this beautiful city, whether it's your first visit or even if you know the city.
A great introduction to some of Acapulco's most celebrated attractions, including the Diego Rivera mosaics, the Chapel of Peace, and the amazing cliff divers at La Quebrada. The guide was very informative and accommodating. A very memorable morning.
Awesome deal! Great way to experience seeing the sights of Traditional Acapulco! The tour guide made us feel safe; he was very friendly and very knowledgeable… Loved reviving seeing what classic Acapulco uses to be./.
A great guided tour ensuring that we saw and experienced the iconic sights of Panama City with lots of local facts
This was a great excursion we booked for our stop in Acapulco. We saw everything the tours off the ship were offering but in a small van that was customized to what we wanted to see and where we wanted to stop. The cliff diver experience was wonderful. Our guide got us in quickly and offered a great viewing spot. The tour company was easy to work with, and met us on the dock as soon as we walked off. Two thumbs up from our group.
All of the tour was interesting, saw sights that many tourists would not see on a large bus. Very knowledgeable guide
We asked Rudy to arrange a private tour for our group. The tour was everything we asked for and more. Alphonso our guide was knowledgeable, informative, fun and helpful. I would highly recommend Rudy and his staff if you visit Acapulco.
We had a great time and they even accommodated my adult daughter with her wheelchair and helped us throughout the time. Alfonso was knowledgeable and explained the area well.
The divers were most interesting. Alex was a knowledgeable guide and took us to various areas noting highlights.
Very good, educational tour!! The staff: Mario and Alex - were very nice, helpful, support, polite persons. We like the tour !!! We recommend them to everybody who wants to know about Acapulco tradition, history, sightseeing and special stuff. Thank you
Wow! What an experience to remember for a lifetime. It wouldn’t have been possible without Balfre and Jesus Mario’s guided tour. We felt very safe navigating the beautiful Acapulco with them. They are very knowledgeable native Acapulcans that take so much pride in the homeland. We learned so much and it was a meaningful 4 hours for us. They asked us what was important to us and it was the beach, authentic food, watching the divers and shopping! It was the best private tour ever! Thank you so much for your kindness. My daughter and I will cherish the experience, pictures, videos, and friendship forever! Amazing!!!
Great tour with knowledgeable guide. Not sure how true statements about papillon and african queen being shot in acapulco black lagoon are. Neither check out on line!!!!
I liked the tour with poncho Alfonso. I knows acapulco very good and alot of information he gives about the town. I saw the differenents parts of this city.
This review is long overdue... sorry Rudy & Poncho! My boyfriend and I visited Acapulco for the first time this April. We didn't know much about Acapulco, except that it used to be a big hollywood hotspot before going through some tough times with a cartel war. We wanted to visit a slightly less touristy area in Mexico, so decided to come to Acapulco. The city of Acapulco is HUGE and we didn't know where to start, so I came on Tripadvisor to find a tour. I selected this tour with Rudy and Poncho after reading the amazing reviews. Rudy and Poncho took us to several amazing cultural sites (chapel of peace) as well as spots with the best views of the ocean and city. They also drove us through different parts of the city where people lived and neighborhoods of different income levels - we love seeing what true life in Acapulco looked like. We drove through a street market and they even bought us a few pieces of fruit to try that we had never heard of in America. We wanted to make sure we saw the cliff divers, which this tour included, and were amazed by the beautiful landscape. The tour finished with lunch at a humble local spot - get the mole enchiladas, they were AMAZING. We loved seeing the ins and outs of the city and seeing spots that were less touristy. Rudy and Poncho also had amazing tips of places to stay and restaurants to try. If you are visiting Acapulco from America and worried about its "bad rap" - Rudy and Poncho will show you what a beautiful and safe city Acapulco is. We felt very safe the entire time. I highly recommend this tour!
Poncho the tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed every aspect of the tour. The food and service at La Cabanna was excellent. The vehicle was nice and comfortable along with the conversation which we all enjoyed. The Peace Chapel and information on the history of Alcapulco was most memorable. The three of us all agree that we would reccommend this tour to everyone. They should especially ask for Poncho the tour guide.
Seeing multiple views of life in Acapulco - all social strata well represented and well explained. We saw things that most visitors would never see.
Rudy and Alfonso were amazing tour guides. The tour far exceeded our expectations. We saw all parts of Acapulco and they gave us a very extensive history of the area. Loved seeing the cliff divers. Didn’t realize they free climbed up the cliff first…very cool. We have planned 2 other tours with them. Would highly recommend them for any tour in Acapulco.
Our guides Santiago and Jesus, both were very knowledgeable & friendly. The private tour with lunch was great for us. The transport from each site was smooth and informative. I highly recommend this tour.
Very fun experience, our guides where very nice and knowledgeable about the history of Acapulco. They spoke English which made it very enjoyable for my husband, totally recommend it.
Covered all the main sights. Guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Lunch was tasty but not worth $20 IMO. Drinks and tip were not included and menu was quite limited. Cliff divers and Chapel of Peace were both amazing.
The pick up at our hotel was supposed to be 10:30. They were here at 10:29. VERY prompt and very courteous. Couldn’t have found a better tour. Amazing information and history from our guides. This was so much better than we had imagined. Got the insiders info and really had a chance to know and see Acapulco for what it is, a safe and beautiful city. Guides Rudy and Poncho seem to know everyone in Acapulco. It was fun to spend time with them. The cliff divers were unbelievable. A must see. I can’t imagine finding guides who are more tuned in to the city. They speak excellent English if that’s a need. Get off the beach for a few hours and see that Acapulco is an incredible city with the best guides that I think you’ll find. We were extremely impressed and now we feel like we have knowledge about Acapulco beside the fact that it’s a beautiful place. If you take any tours use these guys if they’re available. You won’t regret it. PS. They turned us on to the best torta I’ve had and I live in Mexico. Highly recommend the tour and the torta.
We had a wonderful tour with our guides Rudy and Pato. They were very knowledgeable about Acapulco and it's history. Would highly recommend!
Rudy and Salvador were informative and passionate on the culture! They showed us all areas of Acapulco and we truly enjoyed our tour and guides. The cliff diving show was great to see. Thanks for a wonderful day and highly recommend.
