Nice rooms with private pools and great views, friendly staff, not close to anything, going to and from the hotel is always an ordeal that needs to be planned ahead. Great for a retreat, lousy for actual vacation with activities outside the place.
Service and food could improve. Spectacular views. Mosquitos galore so pack accordingly If you are coming during a holiday/special event they will close the pool the whole day so you will have limited access to the facilities (they will not notify you at the time of booking, just the night before)
There are so many beautiful resorts in the world, but what makes this one stand out is the people. My wife and I just spent four nights and it was magical. If you are looking for a calm, quiet place to truly decompress, there is no place better. You can feel that the resort takes care of its staff, and in return the staff puts their heart and soul into everything they do. Their goal is to make sure you feel at peace. From the moment we checked in to the moment we got in the car to head back to the airport, the service was perfect. We came to genuinely appreciate so many of the people who made our stay special. The front desk team was warm and welcoming. Maryfer took such good care of us every morning at breakfast. Hector, Irving, Jason, Hugo, and Guillermo were kind, attentive, and always seemed to know what we needed before we even asked. If I had to offer one area for improvement, it would be to add a few more salad options and expand Cello’s menu a bit. I had a hard time finding something that fit what I was craving that night. I would also happily pay a little more if sunscreen were available at the pools, since it is a bit of a trek to the nearest store if you forget to pack it. Overall, I hope Banyan Tree does everything possible to keep the team they have right now. They are the reason we will be coming back, and the reason we will be bringing family and friends with us. This place is special because the people who work there make it special.
Went with my wife for our babymoon. The staff could not have been more kind, gracious, inviting, and hospitable. The resort and Acapulco itself are still recovering from the 2023 and 2024 hurricanes, and it is a testament to the spirit of the people that they were able to provide such an incredible experience despite such recent hardship. The resort itself was breathtaking and utterly relaxing. Exactly what we needed!

Our room had a stunning view, which made our stay even more memorable. We also tried both restaurants inside the hotel, and they were fantastic. Each offered a unique menu, delicious food, and excellent service. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Acapulco. Looking forward to returning someday!
