We had never seen how beautiful the desert is. We also did not appreciate how much it would be to sand surf and dune bash! Riding a camel will certainly be one of the highlights of the trip. Our guide Sherif was fabulous through the whole adventure.

Morning desert safari with Ocean Air was an amazing experience and one of the highlights of our trip. Our driver and guide, Shine Davis, was excellent — very friendly, professional, and made us feel safe and comfortable the whole time. The desert drive was exciting but felt completely safe, and the scenery was beautiful. The camel ride was just the right length — long enough to enjoy and make it memorable, without feeling rushed or tiring. There was also an option to ride quad bikes, which was handled safely. I especially recommend the morning safari: the temperatures are more comfortable, the desert is peaceful, and the light is perfect for photos. Overall, a beautiful and unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

This was given 1 star for one reason, because the driver was unfit to drive that day. The Ramadan period began a couple days prior to our tour and it was obvious that the driver was tired. He was unable to keep his eyes open while driving. It was a very unsafe situation. He was weaving between lanes and slowed to 20km/hr at one point on the highway as he dozed off. I called him out on it and he insisted he wasn’t sleeping but he slowed to 20km/hr and his eyes were shut for 15 seconds. He also kept yawning. At multiple times on the highway cars would honk because he was drifting between lanes. We told him that he needed to rest and he did take a couple pit stops to take long (10 to 20 minute) bathroom breaks (presumably to sleep). The other passengers were also very nervous. While on the tour he was fine and on the sand dunes it was like he caught a second wind. The sand dunes were lots of fun, he was engaged, took pictures of us, etc but getting to/from the dunes was outright scary. I tipped him a small amount at the end of the tour hoping he’d just go home and sleep rather than drive another tour that day. I debated even writing this review because I do not want him to get fired. He’s a skilled dunes driver but this situation was unacceptable. The tour company should adjust the schedule for Ramadan.

Although normally we are not really fond of organized tours we really enjoyed this trip! Shine is an excellent driver, has a nice personality, is very helpful and takes great pictures. We were a group of 5 persons going with him and that was just fine. It was well organized and the communication in advance via WhatsApp worked well. If you do not have so much time and want to get a first impression of the beautiful desert, then this half-day-trip is absolutely recommendable!

Our guide was punctual, and very friendly. He made sure we all had a good time while dune blasting. He also took the time to take wonderful pictures with all of our respective phones while sand boarding, riding the camel, and holding the falcon.

I've done both this morning trip and an evening trip through another provider. I enjoyed the morning trip so much more and recommend to everyone. The time frame is better and it's less crowded at the camp so you get to enjoy aspects like camel ride and falcon without long lines. This trip was great and I'll do it again

Booked a desert safari trip through ocean air for myself and my wife, our guide Thahzeer was very good and knowledgeable and made us feel very comfortable, excellent driver through the desert. I would highly recommend this trip. Peter England

Rehman has been an excellent driver and cameraman. Worth the 4am wake up! And I must say abu dhabi safari is much better than dubai!

Experience was really good, communication and ride to desert was smooth. It was evident that the tour guide, Ghani Ur Rehman, wanted us to have a good time (including rafting in the dunes). Small crowd. Would recommend!

I experienced this one time in Dubai but this Abu Dhabi one was so much better! Not crowded at all. First we went to see baby camels from different ages. They were so cute! Dunebashing was the best one with our super skilled driver named Shine 😍 Sandboarding & short camel ride were also amazing experiences. We highly recommend this 4 hour experience to all!

It was a great experience to enjoy & explore desert activities, thanks to our expert tour guide Sherif. I highly recommend. The best part was sandboarding on the dunes and seeing the local camel farms. * Note * if you have a foldable mobile device, better not to bring it with you while having sandboarding :(

Today’s desert experience with Shine was absolutely unforgettable. We truly couldn’t have asked for more. Shine, was also our personal photographer, captured every special moment perfectly. From dune bashing and camel rides to quad biking, sand surfing, and relaxing at the camp it was an incredible adventure from start to finish. An amazing experience all around, and one I highly recommend every family try at least once.

Great day experience with Shine. Collected from hotel as promised and got lots of amazing pictures from the experience. I recommend enjoying with friends and family and go prepared to be warm. The dune bashing was the highlight for me!

Shine came to get me in the morning and greeted me warmly. He drove safely (that’s a big deal to me surrounding the drivers in the Middle East), he was so friendly, took tons of pictures for me since I traveled alone, and made this entire experience so amazing! I will definitely come back again so he can be my tour guide for the evening time. The patience, smiles, and relaxed environment to just explore, enjoy, and have fun was the cherry on top! If you’re hesitant or don’t know who to book with, this is definitely your tour. No complaints at all!

We had an incredible desert experience with Shine this morning. We opted for the Private Tour, which we arranged with the company via WhatsApp via their website - as my wife was nervous about the Dune Bashing part of the experience. We also have a two kids (7 & 10), so weren’t sure if they’d enjoy this. Our guide Shine was fantastic, and took it very slowly to begin with - only to then have the kids shout that they were loving it and wanted to go faster! He also helped us get heaps of amazing photos that we’ll look back on for years to come. The whole experience was perfectly paced, and we were back to the city by midday. I was even able to buy a desert scarf for not too many AEDs, so I looked the part too. Would definitely recommend!

The morning desert safari experience exceeded all of our expectations regarding the activities( (like sandboarding, camel petting and sand duning!) and our guide, Shine! He was very kind, took it as a passion to take lovely pictures of us in every stop, his hospitality and attentive was something that comes innate and he should be recognized as he really elevated our experience. He made us feel very safe, and was attentive to all the passengers when we were sand duning and even gave a break when needed to ensure we felt safe- he was also a very skilled driver! Shine made the experience a 6/5- having been to the desert with other guides, we realize that it really can make or break an experience. Thank you so much Shine!!!!
