Reviews
We booked a VIP Lounge and we loved it We were communicating through WhatsApp and it was easy to obtain tickets.
Good lounge, reasonable choice of food. Good choice of drinks, both alcoholic beverages, soft drinks and hot drinks
It was ok. Food was limited but quality was good. Good selection of drinks. Do think they need to work out a better way of ticketing and entry as huge queues.
Clean and quiet. The food was decent. Coffee was good. Entree selection could have been better for a westerner.
It was fantastic. But I was not able to reach there because I did not book a business class flight. But happy to see that lounge.
Amazing experience, with a Credit card deal for only 35$ per guest, and that's including: A smiling face, comfortable access, a Private Shower, a great food, all water bottles you want and coffee at the lounge bar
seating area jam-packed,some staff eating and not bothering about customers, hot food was cold, permeant toilet attendant running after water splashers.
The Pearl lounge is a little more basic than some others we have visited. The food is simple & you have to pay extra for sparkling wine. Shower was not included in the Viator deal. Not sure it’s great value for money but overall there are worse places to spend a few hours. Seats were more comfort than the plane!
It was the first time I was transit at this new airport, I used to fly Etihad many times years back, ans saw it being constructed, but today I could experience it as well. The terminal is impressive. Because it's so big I found it maybe a bit complicated to find my gate, but after all, good experience
Difficulty in getting the QR codes as process just looped and reliant on strong internet. Took staff 45 minutes at Pearl lounge in Abu Dhabi to resolve despite having booking and confirmation numbers and emails and bank statements. When finally in the experience fantastic which made it a 3 not one. They did not have me on their list as seems QR code not booking confirmation their visibility
Good food - although limited in variety, peaceful rest, good value for money. No play areas for children or kid-friendly food options which was a limitation.
it is alot bigger than it seems! take the time to go all the way around, the seating gets more comfortable further into the loung! and the wcs further in are more spacious and comforatble. using my priority pass i entered for free. they are very strict about the 3 hour before flight rule: which in my case is super annoying since flying to the USA you are required to reach the security 2 hours before the flight: this leaves you only with one hour in the lounge. it was crowded - waited for people to leave to get decent seat, and the food looked dried up and the fresh fruit selection was limited to several whole oranges and literally a handful of dried dates. this was my second or third time here, and it hasnt improved. there are enough visitors here to warrant an option of kosher choices like many other airport lounges already offer. the bartender was lovely, and poured with a generous hand. thank you!
Even though we booked an entry time we had to wait to go in with loads of other people because they were full! Food was poor - in terms of quantity, choice and flavours, it was not replenished frequently enough so always felt like left overs Seats were comfy enough, but constant at it messages telling people not to lie down on sofas, not to put feet up - also a constant tune played on a recorder! We booked 6 hours stay and had a 2am flight hoping to sleep - no chance! The queue to actually enter the lounge was huge (yes in addition to the queue to be able to queue to enter!) I couldn’t register for the 6 hour slot but had to queue twice - once to get in, once again after 3 hours! Next time I’ll pay the extra and use the Ethiad lounge!
It was a terrible place. I had a long flight, and after visiting this lounge, I started experiencing severe stomach discomfort from the food. I paid for this "first-class lounge," but received something completely different. An unknown man told me that I couldn't comfortably lie down on the absolutely free sofa in the empty hall — because it's a sofa. The food was disgusting. There are practically no places to charge devices. The air conditioners are too cold, and there are no blankets to fix this problem.
We had an 8 hour stopover in Abu Dhabi and decided to use the VIP Lounge Access. It was very easy to locate, and had great service of the concierge at the entrance requiring codes etc. The seated area requires improved comfort in the chairs. The meal and drinks were hard to fault but probably required to be hotter. Overall very good service and a welcome comfortable break.
Transferred through Abu Dhabi airport from Dublin with Etihad en-route to The Maldives. We had 4 hours to pass in the business lounge prior to our onward flight. We were served by Jeevan at the bar and he looked after us really well for the duration. He took time to chat when the bar was not busy and really made our time enjoyable. Thank you to Jeevan for helping us to pass the time, enjoyed chatting to you.
QR code didn’t work, wasn’t allowed access to the lounge even after showing email and app details. Wasn’t impressed
You will have to queue 15-30 minutes to enter the lounge despite pre-booking. The dining room was busy but bat area was peaceful
[EPILOG TO ETHIAD AIRWAYS "SCRATCHING LIKE A COYOTE" REVIEW] ARRIVED AT AUH WITH THE ARMY OF THE 12 FLEAS(!) BY THE TIME I GOT TO AUH INTL. AIRPORT SHOPS, THE FLEAS FROM MY 1ST CLASS CABIN ON ETIHAD (WELL,MOST OF THEM ANYWAY!) SEEM TO HAVE ALSO DISEMBARKED - TO TRAVEL ON ELSEWHERE - WITH BETTER COMPANY THAN I, I PRESUME(!) AUH WHAT I LIKE ABOUT AUH ARE THE AMAZING SHOPPING FACILITIES. IF YOU ARE A SMOKER,YOU ARE WELCOME TO INDULGE YOURSELF IN EXCLUSIVE SMOKERS ROOMS WHEN BUYING/SAMPLING/CIGARS. MACDONALDS IN AUH IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! TASTE IF BURGERS EXCEPTIONAL! DUTY FREE IS REALLY DUTY FREE-AND EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD VALUE FOR MANY ITEMS. A BIT PRICEY ON PERFUMES,WATCHES,JEWELERY. BUT.....I CAN'T COMPLAIN...I DEPARTED AUH FLEA-FREE(!!!) [here is the Etihad First Class Menu&Drinks List I forgot to include earlier. Please note:you will miss meals service if you decide to close the privacy gate in 1st Class. Cabin Staff naturally assume you don't want to be woke up. In Etihad Business Class, this is less likely to happen. Recommend steak sandwich and Irish Coffee (yes, a particular Crew Member was able to prepare a very nice cup -with milk not cream) for tasty quick snack!] Pat
The lounge facility was excellent and met my expectations. However the receptionist's behaviour was unnecessarily rude which was quite disappointing. We have paid the required amount to avail the lounge services, and being treated discourteously was difficult to understand. Apart from that everything else was commendable.
We queued for 30 minutes before being allowed up the escalator, only to be met by another 15 minute queue at the reception to check in to the lounge. The photos on the website advertising the lounge are infact for business and first travellers only. The economy passenger lounge is average at best. The food options are limited as are the seating availability. There aren’t many outlets to charge devices and the toilet facilities in the second dining area where I was seated were out of order during my visit. Slightly disappointing overall.
I was quite disappointed with the Pearl lounge - for a start it was a shock that I had to queue to get in! I had bought two access periods of 3 hours each as I had a long layover, I could have used them consecutively but decided to split them up. The first time I had to queue for about 20 minutes to get in, the second time was over 30 minutes! The lounge was very full so it was difficult to find somewhere to sit and relax. The first time I went there was not enough cutlery, had to wait for some more to be delivered. On the plus side there was a fair amount of variety but I would definitely not go there again, not worth the money.
The lounge was nice, staff were friendly, the food was average, glad I experienced it, but would not go again, not worth it for me.
Used the Pearl longe on 14/9/24. Overall good experience. We arrived early in the morning so was easy to enter and plenty of space. We had 6 hours there and by later in the day it was very busy. Long queues to get in. By early evening it was very busy not much space and a little noisy. Managed to use the showers which were a welcone freshen up. Meals were sufficient but did not change all day. Something lighter on offer would have been nice. A lot of the charging points for your electronics were not working. Also power adapters were in very short supply. Limited drinks on offer anything more than vodka gin rum or base level whiskey needs to be paid for. This was not an issue for me as there was also a red and white wine. The staff behind the bar need a gold star especially Jefferson who did an amazing job. Most of the travellers were just plain rude. Did they not get taught manners ? Please and thank you go a long way!!!
The staff's courtesy was very disappointing, particularly at the reception where they treated us poorly like speaking to criminals. The manager, Chandar I believe the name was extremely rude; he made my elderly mother, who is in a wheelchair, wait for a very long time and making our access to the lounge literally impossible with my priority pass, key lounge and number of other channels we had access to. I finally ended up paying as I didn't want to keep my mom waiting. I have used my priority pass and other lounge access cards in 10s of lounges across globe for number of years and this is was the only bitter experience ever. This manager also shouted and banged on the seat where she was resting while she was trying to get a power nap, showing no consideration for her age. AVOID PEARL LOUNGE LIKE THE PLAGUE!
The amenities in three floors are fantastic. The range of food and care is amazing. There are baby care facilities, play areas for children and quiet areas for adults. We have been enjoying the facilities for several years now.
This lounge is not worth staying for families and certainly not a place to rest for longer than an hour or two...
Couldn’t redeem it , at the airport they said it was not registerd . Wrote for support but got late reply !
Unfortunately the lounge has a huge queue to get in. Food was nice and they have a salad bar which was fresh. Bought the pass really to to take a shower during a layover however this pass doesn't entitle you to shower access.
Food was great and the patio lounge seating was very comfortable. The hosts were helpful. I enjoyed my time.
Flexibility and friendly atmosphere. Staffs are very cooperative and social. Sufficient place to take rest. Really enjoyed staying for few hours.
waste of money. terrible food. overcrowded. bad experience. 3 hours incl. more time for additional fees
Staff were very helpful beautiful surrounding, food amazing only thing I would have liked some full longer seats. There was chairs with foot stools but not that comfortable
My opinion would be better if it weren't for the fact that there is incorrect information about where the lounge is located. The correct name is Pearl lounge in terminal A. I looked for a long time and the staff at the airport didn't know how to get to the terminal, which was closed according to the seller's description. Finally, I found Pearl lounge and I evaluate my visit positively. The waiting time to enter the lounge is very short. It wasn't crowded. Food good.
If the booking form had instructions next to ‘this is not your ticket’ instead of way down the bottom of the form…on our phone we didn’t find those instructions so hadn’t rung …couldn’t use our phone there, in China or Japan for calls anyway…. So didn’t get in the lounge! Very frustrated and annoyed. Why not send the ticket in the normal way? Not impressed!
The lounge is very crowded.....too much people for a small place. The food is discreet but is not easy to find a place to sit for eat or for rest. I prefer to go in the public zone in the airport. No good experience.
What an excellent lounge. Having been dropped back to Silver with Etihad I was steeling myself for the delights (not) of the Al Reem Lounge but that was closed and we got to use the Al Dhabi, which is also a Priority pass lounge. Very nicely laid out and with excellent shower facilities. Food a tad sparse - but no worse than Al Reem - and quite spacious. Would defo pay to use this on return rather than the free Al Reem. Good effort.
Checking in is a nightmare. Those that have booked online should not have to stand in a long que as cutomers who are paying at the desk to get in. Especially after a long flight and long layovers. There's no exclusivity, everyone who can pay can get in. Otherwise, food great, bar great, seating sections ok, bathrooms really clean.
For the money, I had expected significantly more. The food is excellent. Large selection, attractively presented. And with that, everything positive has been said. Negative: when I arrived at 7 a.m. in the morning, I couldn't even find a seat at first. Completely overcrowded and filthy. I was in the lounge for a full 6 hours. It is basically a large restaurant. No quiet area, no entertainment whatsoever (no TV, no consoles, no magazines), very many power outlets - however, not for our type F/C plugs. And who has a suitable type G plug in their carry-on luggage when passing through? Every now and then you find a USB port, although I did not find one that worked. All upholstered furniture is stained. Although staff is constantly cleaning, it is simply dirty. The restrooms too - not pleasant. In the rest of the terminal, however, it is tip-top clean. There is no way to rest in the lounge unless you push armchairs together. There are lounge chairs in the open terminal. Free of charge. Conclusion: anyone who eats and drinks a lot might possibly get their money's worth during a long stay in the lounge; otherwise, I honestly wouldn't know why one should pay money for this.
Lounge...spacious but too many people...buffet standard...I stayed for three hours.... fairly positive experience
Line to get in, small and dark space. Small buffet with limited selection
Good value for money. Room for everyone
The lounge is totally overflowing. Food and drink are good. There are hardly any places to sit down and relax. I can also sit down in a restaurant. Not worth it.
Very good to wait a few hours Buffet and unlimited drinks Smoking area A few benches where you can even lie down.
Excellent, very clean, modern, very well organized, quiet and technological. Well advanced in every area important to travelers. Thank you for this great positive experience.
FRAUD - CAUTION WHEN BOOKING THE PEARL LOUNGE!!! Entrance was denied by the unfriendly and totally overwhelmed staff. Although the access and booking codes could be presented as a digital document and as a print and the debit was definitely made - no admission. Spend the money (for 2 people 80€) better on something nice.
Drinks are ok, food choices too. It's just mass handling. The number of lockers available is a joke and it should be taken into account when announcing the luggage. Ambience overall is moderate, hardly any daylight.
Very unkempt and food offer leaves much to be desired. Hardly any free seating and racket full. There the sounds lie like street bums and take up an extremely large amount of space, is not at all paid attention to it and in itself we felt extremely uncomfortable there. Definitely not worthwhile value. Better chill at the MC Donalds.
We enjoyed, to say the least, the VIP lounge of the terminal: Pearl Lounge. . It is not comfortable at all and the catering very poor. Abu Dhabi has disappointed me in this respect.
